St. Paul Grill and Bar
Saint Paul Grill in the St Paul Hotel is one of my go to dining choices whenever I'm,in the Twin Cities area.
It's classy, service is top shelf, and has lots of great choices in all sections of memoir, from starters to desserts. The Minnisota Wild Rice soup is so good, and I can never resist their walleye offerings.
The food was phenomenal, and all of the waiters and waitresses are fantastic. My only gripe was that my chicken pot pie had some heavily fatty/chewy pieces of chicken, and one piece contained a bone.
Food was marvelous. I had the boubon pork chop which was to die for. The wild rice soup is always a taste of Minnesota. And the chocolate lava cake is the best way to end the meal. Only negative comment I can make is that the restaurant can get a bit noisy at times.
Simply stellar in every way! Best walleye in the Cities.
Outstanding American grill , great food always and tenured professional service staff. Good ambiance in the building and grill .
My wife and I celebrated an anniversary at the St. Paul Grill. We had not been there for a number of years and the night exceeded our expectations. The service was top notch. Multiple people wished us a happy anniversary and asked us if everything was satisfactory. The food was the biggest surprise. Sauces and seasonings were very interesting and flavorable, and portions were larger than expected. The atmosphere was elegant and our server, Mary, was professional and friendly.
Absolutely spectacular and wonderful. Service was great and the food was terrific
Service was spot on and the dinner was outstanding. Highly recommend entertaining your Clients for dinner.
I was disappointed in the French Onion soup. The soup was overlooked with the original order and quite obviously fired quickly after the server realized the error. It arrived after the main course and was not fully broiled and the breaded top was not toasted. The partially melted cheese and bread broke down in the liquid soup - overall inedible.
Always have my expectations exceeded
Absolutely the best dining experience in St.Paul!!!!
Chicken Pot Pie is creamy and delicious.
St. Paul Grill is one of my favorite places. They are always very consistent. It is a good
place to have conversation.
Had s fabulous dinner, impeccable service (thank you CHARLES) and a complementary dessert for our anniversary.
My husband’s birthday. Food, service everything was excellent!!
As always, the service and food was exceptional. My rib eye was the best I have ever had. The Asparagus was good, but its hollandaise sauce was bland (I like more lemon in it). The portions are generous. It is also the most expensive meal I have ever had. Be careful – it is ala carte with no sides included so the total cost of the meal creeps up. Be sure to check the online menu.
My biggest complaint is with the parking. In the past, there was complementary valet parking. Now, there was an $18 charge plus tip. I have a handicapped permit so I cannot walk around St. Paul to get to the restaurant. There is nowhere on their web site that warns me of this up-charge. I will not be back to this restaurant despite its exceptional food.
The St. Paul Grill never disappoints. It is the perfect place for a special occasion!
Excellent atmosphere, service, food. Exceeded all expectations.
Always lovely! Great service and food
I have never had a bad situation at the St. Paul Grille. The blackened salmon salad is what I usually get and today's was especially delicious.
Justin Spano and his team are always fantastic! Shirley did an amazing job and provided a lovely toast to top off our celebration lunch. Thank you!
Our food and the service was exceptional. We were treated extremely well.
Great place to celebrate with a special meal.
I've never had a bad experience at the St. Paul Grill. My three tablemates were very happy with their meals. I.....not so much. I had a caesar salad (excellent!), a tenderloin and hash browns. The steak was overcooked and stringy and the potatoes weren't crisp. The outside was browned but not crisp, a tab soggy in fact, while the inside was oily. Our waitress, who said she had been there for 34 years!!) was among the very best I've ever had in a fine dining restaurant. I'll chalk this up to one bad experience. Hopefully, we're not seeing a trend.
Our wait person was really bad! She was a very petite older lady with glasses. She seemed very overwhelmed. We had to ask for butter 3 times. Just not the service we were expecting at such a nice restaurant. We would maybe go again but would not sit in her section. She also kept referring to my husband as my buddy. That was weird!
A delicious lunch. The crab cake is wonderful, lots of lump crab meat. The lava cake is a truly decadent must have.
Brought my girlfriend here for a special night and we both had a wonderful time. The food was good and the staff was extremely friendly, I plan on coming back again in the future.
delicious lunch (had the crab salad sandwich) and my guests enjoyed as well. Your bread is also outstanding. We totally enjoyed ourselves and it felt special.
Father’s Day dinner!
We had a wonderful experience at the St. Paul Grille. The food was amazing, and the service was top notch.
I chose St. Paul Grill for a special occasion/Father's Day brunch. What I particularly liked about it, aside from how convenient it was to the hotel where my elderly parents were staying, was how very comfortable it was and how very kind the staff were. Everyone was absolutely top notch at making us feel comfortable. The food was very good, especially this: I have NEVER had someone know how to cook eggs over-medium before! They did them perfectly.
I was so pleased at how nice everyone was to my family. Thank you for making an important day go smoothly.
St Paul Grill is one of my favorite places to dine. The food is always amazing and the service terrific. That being said, our survive was not so great on Friday night.
The server was cold, unattentive and rushed us.
We will be back. Hopefully we will not get her again.
Had a lovely dinner, including some of the best lobster I’ve had in ages. Service was impeccable. Every time I eat here I leave wondering how soon I can come back.
Have been to the St. Paul Grill several times. Always great food and great service! Ask for Charles as your waiter/server. He was awesome!
Very good food and good service
The crabcake was outstanding
It was very, very noisy when we first arrived. You could actually here the noise outside of the restaurant, thus it was very hard to talk within our party. ABout 3/4 of way thru our meal, it started to quiet down.
The St. Paul Grill is consistently one of my favorite places for a special lunch or dinner.
Birthday dinner before a Paul Simon concert. Staff was very attentive and the chicken pot pie was amazing! They even brought me a complimentary dessert. Lovely evening.
