St. Paul Grill and Bar
Always enjoy St Paul Grill and Bar. Great atmosphere and wonderful food.
Excellent food, excellent wine list, excellent service. Always an excellent experience. Our restaurant of choice!
We had a fantastic Father's Day brunch at the Grill! Robert was our waiter ( he has served us previously, as well), and made our experience so nice! The food was hot, and we were not rushed at all. We will always go back for our special occasions!
Always a great place to celebrate anything! Would definitely come back and do, again and again.
St. Paul Grill is exceptional in all aspects. It has a beautiful environment that is classic but not so fancy that you feel uncomfortable. The food is consistently delicious. And there are standouts like the Charred Octopus, the Nueske’s bacon by the Slice, the French Onion soup, and the Potato Leek soup that will rock your taste-buds. You cannot go wrong no matter what you order. There are many restaurants that have excellent ambiance and food but cannot match the SERVICE at St. Paul Grill. The service, from how you are greeted to your server to the bartender to the busser is beyond exceptional. I cannot say enough great things about the service - friendly without being intrusive, attentive without hovering, gracious, perfection. Charles is the epitome of customer service - we were so fortunate to share our dining experience with him. Go to the St. Paul Grill - relax, take your time, enjoy every minute.
The service was amazing. Our waiter was very prompt and quick with our requests. The food was out of this world. We were there for lunch celebrating my husbands college graduation and they brought him a little celebratory dessert as well. Will definitely be back.
We went to St.Paul Grill for an early Father’s Day celebration, and it was exceptional. The food and service are always top knotch!
You can never go wrong. Great service, food, drinks and atmosphere.
Perfect everything as usual
We have had Sunday brunch at St. Paul Grill many times and it is usually a very pleasant experience. That's why we keep going back. My only issue this time is relatively minor: When I made the reservation on OpenTable I requested a window table if possible. My problem isn't that we didn't get a window table but that there was no acknowledgement that we requested one. I would have appreciated knowing that the request was at least considered. By the way it appeared that there was a window table.
The Sunday brunch at the St. Paul Grill is wonderful, especially the charred salmon salad which is prepared with a hoisin sauce. The service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was very nice.
SPG is a very convenient, comfortable venue for concert-goers. The facility is handsome and classy; staff very professional and friendly. Brunch menu has something for everybody. In our party of three, I had the best pick: a salmon benedict. Plentiful and delicious. My friend's mushroom omelet was not really an omelet, but an overcooked scrambled egg laid overtop a nice collection of mushrooms. My husband's bacon and poached eggs were fine, nothing special. He would much rather have had a slice of toast included rather than the gargantuan caramel roll that was served as an "appetizer." What a bad idea. The roll was great, but who wants to eat that for a starter? And who likes scrambled eggs without toast. Years ago. SPG offered fresh fruit and a basket of tasty breads instead of the caramel roll. So much nicer and more appropriate! Times are tough, so why not just provide a basket of simple basic breads instead of the cloying caramel roll????
All that said, we had a very nice time and will come again prior to Sunday afternoon concerts, but we'll always wish away the caramel roll.
My guest and I enjoyed cocktails at the lobby bar prior to dinner. When the drink my guest had was not on the restaurant drink menu, our waitress went to the lobby bar and asked them to make one custom for her - and she brought it to our table. These small acts of personalized service is why The St Paul Grill is top notch.
Not worth the price tag. Duck undercooked, $60 lamb chops we all fat, walleye was average at best, creamed spinach not good, augratin potatoes tasted like they were from a frozen package.
SERVICE WAS WONDERFUL. FOOD ARRIVED VERY FAST. SPLIT MEAL SEVED ON SEPARATE PLATES WITH EXTRA PORTIONS. WONDERFUL SETTING.
The food was good as always ( my father loves the omelet) and it was nice to have a quiet unhurried lunch on a weekday for a change. We will be back!
Excellent meal. Food was fantastic. We had a couple of people order the Swordfish and I had the Walleye and both were excellent. Service was great. My only complaint was the noise level. It was hard to hold a conversation with someone on the opposite side of the table.
Noise level is always an issue in restaurants these days. Some menu items, especially dessert was very 1990's. Molten chocolate lava cake?? Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal.
Our server was fantastic and overall we had a great experience!
We went to celebrate our 39th Anniversary and my Wife's Birthday.
The food and our service was excellent!
Our server was prompt and very welcoming.
We'll be back.
Delicious as usual! We love the wedge salad and calamari to start off the meal
Vanilla bourbon french toast was amazing! Service was excellent
Food and service were excellent. One person in our group sat in a chair that seemed very close to the table next to us and he had to continuously move his chair in so wait-staff could get past him.
We ordered two of the specials and both were delicious. Service was as usual -good. A five star evening.
My husband and I had one of the best meals we have ever had. We were treated like royalty for celebrating our 57th Anniversary. Great! from the cocktails to the special dessert!
St. Paul Grill never disappoints. It was our anniversary celebration - everyone was so kind. Will be back!!
Excellent service, food and atmosphere - fabulous anniversary dinner!
Charles took excellent care of us, he was a very personable and attentive waiter! We will request him again ;)
Fantastic food & amazing service staff. The St. Paul hotel is so elegant and historic, and they do an amazing job keeping the restaurant ambiance as such. They maintain class but not stuffy.
If money was no object I’d eat there weekly!
Wonderful meal, wonderful service, beautiful setting.
Perhaps the greatest attribute of the St. Paul Grill is its superb management. They know the regular customers and their preferences, and they do their best to meet those expectations.
As far as the food is concerned, they are the first restaurant in the twin-cities to offer the highly sought after Copper River Coho Salmon. That is just an example of their effort to be the best.
Excellent meal for our 25th wedding anniversary. They had a good selection of gluten free items and also surprised us with a free dessert to share. Everything from the cheese tray thru dessert was delicious!
We were disappointed in our dinner. When the food arrived, it was not hot. We thought the meal was average considering the price.
Stayed at hotel. When heading for restaurant we were unsure of location but after skiing at the front desk for directions we were escorted by a very nice employee who brought us directly to our location and opening the door for us. Very nice way to enter a fine dining restaurant.
The service here was inattentive. Our drinks were never refilled until we were ready to leave. We waited once we were done for our food to be boxed up and the waiter never asked. We had to flag someone down. We were here for a special occasion and the poor service was not okay. Expected more from St. Paul Grill.
Excellent brunch experience for everyone in our party! Wonderful food, beautiful setting, and our server was excellent (fun and efficient)...Thank you so much!
Our family enjoyed Sunday Brunch at the St. Paul Grill on Memorial Day weekend. Great service, great food, will definitely return.
It was a great time with very good food and excellent service.
