Always a great meal with awesome service! Don’t miss the salmon appetizer or the soufflé!
We had mentioned to the restaurant that it was our anniversary and we were hoping to have a romantic dinner. Instead we were seated in the over flow room with large groups of peopel in a too bright and too noisy room. The opposite of romantic. Waiter was awful for this costly a restaurant.
Went there for our anniversary. It was an excellent choice. Food was excellent. And our waitress was phenomenal. My wife and I would highly recommend St. Martin's.
What a wonderful small intimate place to enjoy your anniversary! Best cesar salad in years.....the wines were well sourced and good variety for $$. Our waiter was outstanding. We enjoyed the people as well as piano player.
We have been going there for over 35 years and it is consistently outstanding with some of the best value in the city of Dallas for dining options.
I can’t believe I’ve lived in Dallas since ‘79 and never dined here before. This place has won my stomach and heart as my favorite place to dine now. The food was excellent. The service was perfect. And the pianist played all the right tunes. My wife and I will surely be back more often.
Our go-to celebratory restaurant for years! Incredible, incredible food with varied French style dishes. And Louis on the piano is not just entertaining, but creates a relaxing atmosphere playing old and new favorites. The perfect spot to relax with great food and wine in a casually elegant setting for definitely fine dining!
Might be the finest bistro in Texas. Seriously. Great people, great food, everything was exquisite.
Overall great meal. Service was good. Plenty of options.
Awesome place if you are looking for a local, neighborhood gem. One of the few places on Lower Greenville that has stood the test of time. Food is great and not what you'd expect on Greenville as it's not your average bar fare. If you're looking for a great spot for a classy night out with the better half for a romantic dinner, check out St Martin's.
For wine lovers, can't be beat-very reasonable wine list, with selections for all pocket books. John, host/owner has been for many years offers a warm welcome. Menu, a delight for all tastes. I t is our "go to" place for all special occasions. Great value, all-around
Awesome restaurant with great live piano!
This place holds a special place in my heart because my Grandmother used to take us here for Christmas Eve dinners. So we like to eat here on occasion and for holidays like Easter Brunch, Mother’s Day, Christmas Eve etc. This restaurant never disappoints and the food is always exceptional. You must get the Champagne Brie soup. Service is always great and they have a piano player which makes for nice ambiance. Holidays are usually a set menu but always delicious so if your not into that go on a different occasion.
The food was amazing and the hospitality was outstanding. Will definitely come back .
Fabulous Food. Great atmosphere. Wonderful pianist.
I'm from NYC but my boyfriend lives in Dallas and I wasn't sure where to take him for his birthday and happened to find St. Martin's. Our experience was Amazing! Everything we ordered was superb and delicious! Portion sizes were fairly large. The wait staff were very attentive. My boyfriend was wished a happy birthday from almost person we encountered that served us. The atmosphere was very romantic, beautiful, and elegant. I highly recommend St. Martin's and so grateful they were a part of creating such a special birthday for my special someone. I hope they think about opening a location in NYC, but if not will happily fly down to Dallas to dine here again.
It was a Monday night, we were celebrating our 35th anniversary. The service was excellent and we were greeted and thank by the staff. Food was very good but not necessarily outstanding.
We celebrated our 12th anniversary there and were not disappointed. The food and ambiance were great, and the service was impeccable. St. Martin's is a five star restaurant where you feel like family.
This is not my first time to St. Martin's and it will not be my last. For fine French cuisine, this is a great place to go. The restaurant is small and intimate, but that makes for better service. The recommendations of the waiter were completely on target. The portions were generous. The price was in-line with such fine cuisine.
The service was excellent--attentive, but not intrusive; very helpful about menu and specials. The food was excellent--very fresh seafood, great flavor, everything from the main dish, to the sides and sauces was delicious. The crab cake was outstanding--big and full of large chucks of succulent crab.
Another fabulous evening at St Martins was had by our group! Terrific service, great food and live piano music--doesn't get much better!!
Another amazing evening! I wrote a review just over a week ago and finished it off by saying we would come back on our last evening in Dallas. That said we did come back! So out of 4 nights we went to St Martin twice - and the other two nights we stayed in the hotel on a diet ;-) to allow enjoying the amazing food in our now favorite restaurant!
We decided to go for two starters and one main. So started with the brie and champagne soup - you MUST try it! (In fact I found the recipe on internet and will try it tomorrow for my father's birthday. We are back in Europe so it will be a nice touch to remember our trip to Dallas).
The soup was followed by foie gras! Just beautifully cooked! I then tried the lobster/seafood Thermidor and that was sooo delicious!!! With the two starters we had no space for desert, but were very happy with our choices. St Martin's also has the lovely touch of the manager/owner being there in person, stopping by your table and talking to you!
So thank you for two truly memorable evenings and we can't wait to be back!

My husband and I had the pleasure to enjoy dinner at this romantic upscale French bistro. We arrived to Dallas yesterday and found this absolute hidden gem on trip advisor as my husband desperately wanted to enjoy a steak Dianne. The menu is very classic and offers favorite dishes which are rare to find nowadays.
We travel 20-25 days each month for buisness thus eating in restaurants all over the world. We both agreed that Saint Martin's was the most pleasurable experience we have had for years! And all reasonable priced.
Everything was perfect!
We started with drinks in the bar and were then moved to our table. The setting is very romantic and the live piano music absolutely lovely!
The food is amazing! My husband started with foie gras and I had the champagne and brie soup! Foie gras is always delicious and the soup so utterly tasty!!! Dinner followed with steak Dianne and Tournedos Rossini, paired with a full-bodied Malbec. Again: both dishes cooked to perfection! We couldn't resist desert so tried the flourless chocolate cake and the creme brûlée together with a glass of sauternes, both perfect to finish off an already perfect dinner!
You definitely have to go here and enjoy a memorable evening!
We have a total of 4 nights in Dallas and already agreed that we will go back on our last night, that is in 2 days - we can't wait!
The atmosphere has some character: a little on the dark side with a lot of dark wood, antique fixtures, and paintings in ornate frames. My wife thought it was a little too dark. There was live music (a piano player), which was nice. My wife had the baked onion soup, which she liked. I had the salad with raspberry vinaigrette, which I liked. My wife had the beef bourguignon, which she found too sweet. I had the sea bass, which was good, but of a rather small portion size. My wife had the apple tart for dessert, the apple filling in which she found too starchy.
Such a wonderful spot! Delicious food and great service - ask for Flawless! You won’t regret it ;)
One of the most memorable dining experiences we've ever had--from the ambiance of the setting, to the friendliness of the waiters, to the piano music, to the food.
We have always saved Saint Martin's for our special occasion outings. This was no exception. As has always been the case our food was delicious and the service very good. The noise was unbearable!!! We were seated in a small back room that I did not know existed. Next to us was a table of nine or ten young people. They should have been at a football game. They were so noisy they spoiled our evening and that of all the other patrons in there. Another table had eight or ten people and they were celebrating an 80th birthday. A son had written some comments to share with the group and I am sure they could not hear. The rowdies were not even considerate enough to be quiet for this. At one point the men were singing and swaying with their arms around each other. They definitely did not need to drive home!!!
We come here every year for our anniversary and they never disappoint. We order the same dishes every time because that's the only time we eat steaks, but also they never change their menu. Service is always excellent, the piano player is not though.
We received excellent service & hospitality from Adam and John!! The staff was very food and the food was so delicious!! Very romantic and cozy atmosphere. We will definitely be back!!
Very nice experience in a non-ostentatious setting. Food, service, and ambiance made for a very enjoyable evening. One suggestion: tone down the piano playing to more of a softer background music.
Great food, cozy, romantic and great service. Great place for any occasion. May be my favorite restaurant
A wonderful experience, I will return. The service was exceptional
Try the absolutely delicious Brie soup! Lovely dining experience, great classic food, exceptional service, quiet comfortable ambiance. Live piano music made for a perfect evening.
As usual everything was perfect. The seafood thermidor was amazing
Romantic candle light dinner, love the ambiance. Service is awesome.
Great food and reasonable price. The restaurant is located in an old building, but the excellent food and live piano music covers the drawback of it.
It was wonderful ❤️
My fiance and I(proposed on that same day actually :3) thoroughly enjoyed our experience at St.Martin's, the food was top notch and the ambiance and decor fabulous, especially for a date! The pianist was very talented.
While each item we got for our dinner was delicious, I cannot give enough praise to the Brie Champagme soup! My SO and I loved it!
Will definitely recommend this restaurant! And make sure you try the desserts also ;)
It was a wonderful evening. Our table was ready when we arrived, service was excellent. The wine list was a bit disappointing. For a French bistro we were hoping for more French wine choices. The food was delicious! The only downside was it was very chilly where we were sitting almost like the air conditioning was turned on and it was blowing on us about 1/2 way through our meal. Ended up having to put my coat on. We’ll definately go back!
