I have to eat gluten free and St. Martin’s can do all but ONE DISH gluten free. A dream come true. Not to mention, all of the food is delicious. The service is always very good, and the piano music is enjoyable.
Very disappointed. Piano was extremely loud. We were celebrating our anniversary and they never acknowledged it. AC was not working was very hot. My husband was had sweat coming from his forehead.
We went to St. Martin's for my parents 55th anniversary. It was a perfect choice. The food and service were amazing. The live piano music contributed to the lovely atmosphere. Importantly for my parents, it was not uncomfortably loud in the restaurant. We will definitely come back. And all of the reviews about the champagne brie soup are accurate - awesome.
We celebrated our 15th anniversary here.
Don't let the outside fool you, this Restaurant is a 5 star french bistro. We absolutely loved the Anniversary Booth right across from the piano and the ambience could not have been more romantic (BTW: Piano player is very good and I am not sure there is a song he does not know.) The food is out of this world good, just don't try to eat it all or you will go home extremely full. We had the Clams and Signature Soup for the first course, Ceasar Salad for the second course, and then the lamb and seafood medley for our third course. Every bit of it was delicious.
To top it off it was our 30th Anniversary and they came out with our creme bruela dessert and the dish had Happy Anniversary written in chocolate. We will definitely be back for another romantic night out, will just likely split our 3rd course or plan on a take home bag.
Thanks for a memorable meal and making our 30th special.
Great evening. Service very good and attentive. Steak Diane outstanding. Lobster Thermidor great. Salads were also very good. Will definitely return
Steak was good but fish (sole) tasted like it had been frozen. We do feel that quality has gone down in last 2 years. We still love the place but it needs to get back to where it used to be.
Very nice old school/world French bar. Reminds me of being in NYC neighborhoods. Very dark inside - takes a while to adjust. We ate at the bar which we enjoy and prefer. Bartender service was excellent. Bar overhang is too short so your knees slam into the back of the bar which is uncomfortable. Overall, a nice local spot!
It was great!
A favorite, secret hideaway. Food & atmosphere are second to none. Thankful for this neighborhood gem, has been there ie 50 years.
A great place for a special occasion, or if you just want an outstanding meal. Have been there many times and it never disappoints.
Quiet Romantic atmosphere, live piano, amazing food and service.
Dark, charming, an absolute classic. Not a “scene”. Just amazing.
Very romantic. Great food, great service. Would recommend to anyone for an anniversary dinner.
Exquisite decor. Beautiful bar worth the trip. Piano Music lovely. Food good. Waiter nice. Great place!
Our favorite restaurant in Dallas! The food and ambiance are old-school French.
Been coming here for over 20 years and always the best in all categories ! So glad they survived the pandemic and wish them many more continued years !!
So happy to be back at one of our favorite places in Dallas. The classic dishes (steak au poivre, steak Diane, lemon sole, duck a l'orange, bouef bourgignoon, etc.) are perfectly made and oh so comforting. The ambiance is big city romantic, with the soft live piano in the background. So different, from the new places that try so hard to be Instagram hip. The service (Jason for us) is impeccable.
Loved the wine list and live piano player
We have had many wonderful meals at St. Martin's. However, our last meal didn't rise to our expectations. 3 of us had the Lemon Sole, and they were all way overcooked. I was unable to eat mine, as it was completely dry. They kindly offered to get me something else, but that usually ends up with me eating by myself after others finish.
We've always enjoyed the piano music, but had never sat near the front of the restaurant. The pianist that evening seemed to be playing fairly energetically, making it difficult to hear the people across the table from us. That won't keep us from coming back, as long as we can get a table further away from the front.
The Champagne Brie Soup and Crab Cake appetizers were incredible. The Creme Brûlée was creamy and delicious, and I don't usually like Creme Brûlée.
We will be back, but probably won't order fish again.
Lemon sole and tenderloin were wonderful
Pear & Beets salad 😋
Crême brûlée was divine
Piano entertaining but too loud
We went out to dinner Tuesday to St. Martin's Wine Bistro. Nice bottle of Chateau Gloria. I had the Caesar salad and the Boeuf Bourgignon, spouse had the Onion soup and the Le Filet de Boef au Poivre, Pommes Frites. No room for dessert! Great service.
A good meal was had by all.
It is so pleasant to be able to go out to dinner again.
Incredible. As good as any spot in town for a birthday, date night or night out.
First time eatimg here even though we've passed by it for years! Loved the experience, great live piano music, attentive service, romantic surroundings, food is good. We'll be back!
It was our first time at St. Martin’s and we really enjoyed our dinner!
Nice surroundings good atmosphere, food could do with some more refinement…
Booked St Martin’s for our 39th anniversary. We were warmly greeted at the door and went right to our table. The service was excellent. The appetizers were great, had the Champagne Brie soup, it was wonderful. We had two excellent entrees and our waiter suggested a paired Bordeaux that went with our dinner. Way too full for dessert. The piano player was awesome. Medley after medley of songs, he really set the mood for the evening. We don’t live in Dallas, but we will add this to our list of absolutely will come back restaurants.
Always outstanding! This is my go-to restaurant to celebrate anything important. They never disappoint! It's the best-kept secret in Dallas.
Their signature soup is truly a DFW must-try for foodies. Some dishes were ok, some were truly exceptional. Ambiance could not be better for a 110 year old structure. This is a very very nice place from every angle except one... It's about 200 yards from Stan's Blue Note and the Greenville young adult scene. Parking is tough.
We had a great time like always! We will be back soon!
Great Mother's Day lunch!!!
Always a pleasure. The staff, the food, and the ambiance are excellent.
Romantic. a great place to take your significant other. Great service.
Good vibes (intimate setting). A little bit too dark inside. Piano was nice. The escargot was great. The lobster thermidor wasn’t as great as I thought it would be.
The hostess was a bit rude. I walked in for my reservation of 2 people. It was just me at the time. I asked if I could be seated, was told to wait 5 min while she looks to see what tables are available. Another couple walked in and was seated immediately. Once I saw this I asked why they were seated and they couldn’t seat me, the hostess said once my party is here she’ll seat me.. so first she was “looking for a table” but when I came to ask about the other couple she said my whole party needed to be there. Mind you it’s a very small space with no waiting areas. She could’ve told me that instead of lying about looking for a table instead of me watching others be seated who came in after me.
Salmon, escargot, vibes, piano, waiter was solid
Cons: Hostess, Lobster Thermidor
Superb. X 10
Great service, wonderful food! One of our favorite places in Dallas! Never disappoints!
First time to order orange duck. Wasn’t as tender or flavorful as expected. Service and ambiance was delightful. Very thoughtful, courteous servers. Brie soup and bread was excellent. It’s still a favorite place for special occasions.
Great vibe inside and awesome food. Service was attentive but sometimes I just want to chill and drink. Great piano playing!
One of our favorite restaurants! Any time we decide on a date night, we go here even with the plethora of choices around Dallas. The food is always delicious and the service is always outstanding.
