Top notch cuisine. The champagne brie soup is excellent as is the beef bourguignon.
Absolutely wonderful place! My wife and I went to St. Martin's for a belated Valentine's dinner. Food was great. Service was very attentive. What really capped off the evening was the fantastic piano playing of Phil Kappaz. As lovers of music, my wife and could have sat there for several hours listening the great songs he kept coming up with as it crossed multiple decades and genres. Can't wait to go back but will tailor it to when I know Phil will be performing!
Came for a late valentines dinner. Greeted by super friendly hostess who showed us to our seat close to a fire place that had a fire going in it. The fireplace added to the ambience of the restaurant. We started off with the Brie soup and Foie Gras app. My favorite mite of the night was front eh Foie dish. I had the Rossini and she had the scallops. Both were very good. Although I couldn’t taste the truffle and the Demi could of had a more beefier flavor. She had the brûlée that she loved and I had the apple tart which was so yummy. I would come back just for the tart. All in all this was a great experience. We came here once before and loved it but I wanted to wait to see how a second visit would go before I reviewed. I definitely recommend this place if you want to take a special someone on a really nice date. The big plus is the prices are very reasonable on the food so you don’t have to worry about breaking the bank.
Food excellent except the Caesar salad. Dressing was bland, not the biting dressing that it should be.
Otherwise the food was excellent.
Great place for a romantic dinner.
It was a wonderful experience and we had a wonderful night.
Sonny at the bar was fantastic. We were early and enjoyed sitting at bar talking to him. Service and food were excellent. Soufflé was just ok, will order different dessert next time but meal and champagne soup were perfect. Already made a reservation to return next month.
Our first time, but won’t be the last! Everything was delicious! Our friends with us, who are not originally from here, said it was the best restaurant they had ever been to in Dallas. Thanks for a very nice evening!
It was amazing! I'm not a big steak person but I had the surf and turf and the stake was great!
Valentine’s Day. Our waiter made our dinner. Called himself flawless !!! Plan to go back soon
I have been here before and had a wonderful evening which is why I was so quick to book here for Valentines Day. Could not have had a more different experience. The food was just insanely salty. The food was not cooked to order and Service was mediocre. While I know I'm going to be fair and come here again. I do know I will not be back for any kind of event dining.
St.Martins may be the best resaurant in Dallas. The Wednesday night wine dinners in particlar are world class. In Dallas, this is one of tne few places where I feel that fare, wine list and service delivers full value My thanks to John and his staff for always making us feel welcome. In view of todys trend in restaurants economkics, e.g. establish a name, and then sell out to absentee investors, St.Martins remaons a symbol of the past, where dining was a continuing tradition.
Dinner, service and music were wonderful. This is a great restaurant!
We were not happy with the size of our table. Each of our table hung over the table on each side. If we know we will have that small a table in the future we likely will not use St. Martin's as our favorite restaurant.
Fabulous evening with family to celebrate birthdays. We could even carry on a conversation with no TVs blaring. Quiet lovely piano background music, delicious dinner, amazing desserts, super service. We will be going again.
There’s a reason we’ve been going for 30+ years. Consistently great food, excellent service, and outstanding piano entertainment.
Louis on piano is a amazing. His talent is spectacular.
Cant wait to return soon!
We have been coming to St Martins since 1985 and have always been impressed. Great food and excellent service. They go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome
We love St. Martin’s Bistro. The restaurant is beautiful, with a lot of character on the inside. Seating was nice; we asked for a booth and they arranged one for us quickly (I forgot to make that request when I made the reservation). The wait staff is excellent. They were attentive to our needs but not overly intrusive.
The live piano music was awesome. The pianist had a repertoire that included current hits to classical music. The music was soft enough that we could still hold a conversation without raising our voices.
Every part of the menu was awesome. The appetizer and salads were delicious and were a reasonable size. The main course was also delicious. Dessert and coffee rounded out the evening. We did not have any of the wine or spirits that St. Martin’s has, but it appears as if they have an extensive offering of both for those who are interested.
This is a great place to take someone you love for dinner.
St. Martin's is the most romantic gem of a restaurant! The food, service and atmosphere are always flawless.
We had such a great time with my family for brunch. The service and the food was amazing. Thank you so much for a beautiful experience. We will definitely comeback.
I have been coming to this restaurant since they opened!
The food and service never disappoint. This is another great visit.
When we walked into St. Martin's Wine Bistro we were immediately presented with a live piano player, a bar, romantic candlelight and, when we got to our table, a stunning large chandelier. The wine list was incredible and wait staff equally so. The food was exquisite, my wife and I split an order of escargot and champaign brie soup. For entrees my wife had the Le Veau à la Française (Veal Scaloppini) and I had the Thermidor. We finished off our meal with a show-stopping chocolate soufflé. We had a little trouble with Uber after our meal and the maître beckoned us back inside from the rain and brought us a table and some water while we waited. Exceptional service and exceptional food, a neighborhood gem definitely worth a visit.
Romantic with well prepared dishes and drinks. A long standing neighborhood haunt. Recommended.
Best meal I have enjoyed meal in recent memory. This Dallas icon lives up to its reputation.
Dinner music from Louis was outstanding as usual. Wonderful evening
My husband and I came in for a long awaited date night. We had a wonderful time. JD took excellent care of us and helped to make our evening special. The ambiance and live music was lovely. We got engaged in France in 2014 and loved all of the little small town bistros we dined in. We loved coming here and feeling like we were in a little place in France in the middle of the big D. Thank you for making this a memorable experience for us.
Four of us had a fantastic evening at St Martin’s! We loved the whole experience and would easily return if we were ever in Dallas again. Fab service, wonderful food and a most enjoyable evening!
Great service and great dinner. Live piano music was very nice as well. The whole dinner, wine and cocktails were very good and our waiter was especially nice. Highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was perfection. Mussels are the best!
Same menu. Same daily specials. Food is fine. Looks like a special occasion place
The food was fantastic, as it always is here, but we mad the mistake of dining at 5:15. It is not the same ambiance as later in the evening when they have the piano player there and the fining rooms are darker.
One of our best experiences in years.
My wife complained that her soup wasn't hot. She also said that her eggs Benedict wasn't very good. My food was very good.
We love St. Martins. We are always treated with such respect and the service is wonderful.
My wife & I have dined at St. Martin's Wine Bistro for years. We just celebrated another birthday at St. Martin's. The wine, appetizer (escargot), and entrees (veal & scallops) were delicious as always. St. Martin's never disappoints! (This year we drove 90 miles for this meal ... it was well worth the drive.)
We went for anniversary dinner. This is a quiet, dark, intimate place. A pianist with (silver candelabra ) sang and played, adding to the ambience. The food was very good and service spot on. This is a refined throwback restaurant, which is a nice change.
The owner was present, The ambiance was great and quite romantic. The Food and Service was delicious at a fair price.
Always love this place. My wife and I go here every year for our anniversary. Service and ambience are great. Can dress up or go more business casual and feel right at home. Food is always delicious and for the prices you can’t beat it!
Beautiful ambience, great food,
Wonderful ambience to enjoy an anniversary dinner date. Very pleasant live piano performance & wonderful service all around. Enjoyed every course of our dining experience.
