Delightful, entertaining hosts for the wine and food pairing. Lively conversation with co-diners. Delicious food made to compliment the wine rather than the other way around.

We were lucky enough to catch a last minute reservation when someone canceled and so happy we did! The food + wine pairing was so well done. It’s amazing how well the wine selection can bring out such a different taste in food that is amazing all on its own. Throw in the wine and it’s a game changer! The staff was great too:)

We had a great experience at St. Francis! The food and service were both fantastic, our favorite was the Cucumber Gazpacho. We ended up purchasing a few bottles of wine to take home as well, can’t wait to enjoy them!
Thank you so much for a wonderful experience while we were visiting the area!

Delicious wine and food pairing. Each course was very good in terms of pairing, taste, presentation. The group setting was fun too and not awkward. I was at the 11:00am time slot and it was a great time to enjoy the rest of the day and explore. Highly recommend

My review has 2 elements: one for those of us without food allergies, and one for the person with gluten, egg, and dairy issues. For those of us who can eat anything, this was a truly delightful wine and food pairing experience. From the lovely sauvignon blanc we were given when we arrived, right through the delicious dishes so exquisitely paired with the perfect wines, we were in heaven. Who could imagine that cauliflower soup could be so yummy or that popcorn grits were so superior to regular ones? The service was also casual, but attentive throughout. Each dish and wine pairing was described before it came to the table, and the wine and food really did bring out the best in each other. Bliss.
For my husband, who gets violently ill if he gets a hint of egg in a dish, and who cannot eat gluten, accommodations were made. At least a week in advance of our meal, we let St. Francis know of his issues. In most cases, changes to his dishes were easy enough to accomplish. Still, simply leaving off the toast that accompanied the Moroccan fish stew seems more neglectful than accommodating. There are tons of gluten-free crackers and breads available in this area. But the deepest cut was dessert. While the rest of us got this fantastic coffee/hazelnut trifle (divine!), he got... sorbet. I can't tell you how depressing it is to have sorbet as your only dessert option. It's a standing joke between us. Desserts that don't contain eggs, gluten, or dairy are hard to come by, not not impossible. It was a disappointing end for him. So, definitely book this pairing and enjoy the food and the atmosphere-- as long as you don't have too many food allergies.

My wife and I were pleased to attend a pairing of St Francis wines with a wonderful menu of several courses. It was the best dining experience in recent memory. The wines were great of course. The food was spectacular. Chef did a great job in the pairings and flavors. The hosts guided the group through each course in a casual yet informative fashion. I would be pleased to recommend this experience to anyone looking to make a memory in Sonoma.

What a delightful and delicious wine tasting and food pairing experience. It was very relaxing and with an informative staff.
Everything ~ the food and wines were perfect!
The even did a great job at preparing gluten free dishes for me. The dessert which was different form everyone else’s was yummy. It was a blood orange/chocolate sorbet which I am trying to duplicate at home, it was that good.

Wine tasting and food paring at the St. Francis Winery is an enjoyable experience. You get to try 5 or 6 wines and a food that goes with each of them. The group is only 16 people which makes it very intimate. The presenters know their wines and have a good way about them.

If you want a fun thing to do give it a try. Reservations must be made well in advance!

This was my fourth time experiencing the wine and food pairing. It gets better each time! I’d recommend that ANYONE traveling to the Napa/Sonoma region make this a part of your schedule.
You might want to save it for your last day though. It’ll be hard to compare!

Absolutely amazing experience! Outstanding pairings, and a unique experience as diners - you sit in the round and have an opportunity to chat with others at your table - or not - really up to you. Tempo was perfect, we never felt rushed but the time really flew! We were 10 minutes late -
called ahead and let them know. What we didn't realize was that they held everyone else from being seated until we arrived. I appreciated the grace and felt badly that we'd inadvertently caused everyone else to have to wait. Be sure to arrive on time! You don't want to be "those people" - even though everyone was very gracious about it :)

My fiancé and I came for the food and wine lunch pairing, and overall we had a wonderful time! Each course was spectacular, and the wines were absolutely lovely and thoughtfully paired. I was highly partial to the Extended Age Chardonnay, the Old Vines Zinfandel, and the Sonoma Coast Port (which was creamy and not overly sweet!). Each food course was hearty and comforting, definitely excellent choices for the cool winter weather.

My only complaint is that we weren't particularly thrilled with the group setting. To me it didn't feel as personal, and the beginning of the event felt VERY awkward with everyone eating and drinking in almost total silence. The hostesses even had us do some ice breakers, going around the table asking us to introduce ourselves and describe our professions. Of course, once the wine got flowing people loosened up and started chatting normally, but it was a bit uncomfortable at first. I understand both the appeal and the need for serving in a group setting, but given the price we were paying I was hoping for our own table with a little more personal service. I also felt a bit rushed having to eat with a large group - I like to take my time to savor the food and the flavors, sip my wines, chat with my fiancé, etc., and it felt like I was being hurried along to finish my last course so that the next one could be served.

Overall we had a good time, and the food and wine itself certainly lived up to the hype.

Happened upon a reservation here when I was in the area traveling solo - turns out landing a reservation here is rare and should be booked months in advance - lucky me! Honestly, the best food experience I have had in a year. Casual, knowledgable staff. Delicious food. Great pairings. Meet + Greet with chef. The type of tasting you pay hundreds for pp.

This is absolutely worth it - my only feedback would be to slow it down a bit - it is a lot of food with courses close together. Would have enjoyed an extra 10 mins between tastes.

Overall, if you can get in - GO!

This was maybe my fifth or sixth St. Francis wine and food pairing. It continues to be a delight. Five stars for: a) Presentation, b) Taste, c) Pairings that truly enhance the wine and the food, d) Gracious hosts, e) Great wine.

If you've never attended one of these sessions, check in at the concierge desk and they will pour you a small glass of a starter white wine. At the appointed time, the group is gathered and taken to the dining room to be seated. The dining room is elegantly set with the surrounding vineyards as the backdrop. Expect one of the hosts or hostesses to present each wine and the course that accompanies it. The chef comes out with the last course to say hello and answer any questions.

My wife and I have taken many friends to this event and it's remarkable how many end up joining the wine club.
