St. Francis Winery & Vineyards

Delicious food and well paired with their wines! The food & wine pairing is served in a group setting so while this is a unique experience for a date, be aware that you may not have a romantic private setting and, if other guests include a more boisterous crowd, it won't be quiet either :) However, it was fun to meet different people and hear insights from the tasting staff about the food and wine being served. If you have vegans or vegetarians in your party, I'd suggest calling ahead to find out about any alternatives as the seasonal menu we tried consisted primarily of meat and fish dishes.
Food and wine pairings without compare. I recommend this for anyone who values good wine and great food. The menu is ever changing and imaginative almost beyond description. We had one course with white sea bass paired with a fabulous merlot, and it not only worked, but sang! Go, Go, Go!!!
The new chef is fabulous. He is very creative with his food and wine pairing.
The wine and food pairing was delicious! I was told this is a new chef - and his menu was fantastic. I liked every single dish and tried wines I may never have tried. I highly recommend this wine and food pairing.
Such a fun experience!! Wonderful food/wine pairing, the scenery and staff made it even more enjoyable!
Great food and wine pairing. One of the highlights of our week in Napa and Sonoma.
We recently enjoyed the food and wine pairing. There were 5 small plated courses paired with 5 wines. The food was beautifully presented and paired well with the wines served. I would highly recommend it!
New chef... he was outstanding, creative, and flavors burst in your mouth. Our favorite place during the summer months. Staff so attentive. wine pairing divine ( a pinot with fish) excellent.
Each dish was better than the last! This was difficult as the first dish and wine was spectacular. It was worth the three hour drive to the winery.
The most amazing food and wine pairing in the Wine Country. If you’re a food and wine lover, this should be at the top of your list.
Perfectly paired small plates with beautifully balanced wines from the new chef Trevor.
Expert Service only enhanced the experience, along with the knowledge of the staff.
Don’t miss this “one if a kind” treat.
The St. Francis wine and food pairing was amazing! Would definitely go again next time in Sonoma!
The food is superb and paired wonderfully with Artisan wines. Andrea and Renee are great conductors of the experience.
I had been anticipating this event fo several months before we actually went. I had read a ton of reviews reading how fabulous it was. I took my husband for our 19th wedding anniversary. It turned out to be an amazing experience! The food was so spectacular. Apparently the new chef had just gotten hired a couple of days before so he was still “new”. Apparently this was his first day on the job. His food turned out to be amazing! He made the best Lamb and cauliflower dish as well as a slice of bacon in a
cauliflower mashed potatoes. Everything he made was a step up from anything I’ve tasted before! We will definitely book it for next year as well!
Food and service were excellent. The dining area is lovely.
I enjoy a food and wine pairing at St. Francis Winery at least once each year and it's always fabulous. Was just there for my 2nd visit this year on July 16 with my sister-in-law , and it was even better than my earlier visit in May. Five delicious wines paired with the perfect food over a 1.5 hour experience. Never stuffy, very fun, yet classy and elegant. As a wine club member, I also get one free food and wine pairing at no cost. Best value north of the Golden Gate Bridge!
This was our second time at St Francis and if it's possible, it was better than our first (which was outstanding!). 5 courses with wine pairings, each course matched to the wine, an utterly fantastic experience. If you find yourself in Sonoma/Santa Rosa, go here!
My wife and I attended the wine and food pairing at St. Francis Winery last week. This was the highlight of our visit to Sonoma Valley. Everything really was perfect! The Winery itself is absolutely beautiful, with lovely sculpture and gardens, and we were greeted with a nice chardonnay to sip while we waited for the rest of the guests.
We had 5 courses of food paired with 5 reserve wines. Everything was prepared perfectly from a delicious Arctic Char with crispy mushroom paired with a wonderful Pinot Noir to a grilled Waygu beef with fresh Chimichurri served with a beautiful cab. The food was perfectly paired with each course of wine.
The wine director was very informative and walked us through the entire experience, and when the chef was introduced at the end of the meal he received a unanimous ovation.
I wouldn’t hesitate to attend another pairing at St. Francis, and would highly recommend the experience to anyone in the area!
Very pleasant experience with great wines and super food!
Wonderful food and wine.
Less wonderful than before. Change of chefs is evident. Food needed finishing touches and was cold. otherwise good with wonderful hosts
Great wine pairing lunch for the price! Very knowledgeable staff. Amazing food! Beautiful views!
A wonderful experience all around
Amazing experience! Great hosts with innovative food that showcases the wine.
Amazing experience! We’ve eaten at the French Laundry and experience rivaled that in every aspect!
It doesn’t get better than this!! They pair the food to the wine...just spectacular!
The food and wine pairing is an amazing taste experience. The chef and his staff truly put their hearts into their work. The servers are knowledgeable and friendly, and the atmosphere is calm and welcoming.
I finally got around to reserving the food and wine pairing that St Francis Winery is known for and I am not disappointed. The food was amazing and the wine was perfect.
Attended the Food and Wine Pairing for our anniversary. Amazing experience. The food and wine were excellent, as was the staff person. that guided us through the experience. I would highly recommend.
We did the wine and food pairing. Intimate setting for about 16 people. Food was excellent and was fun to pair with wine.
We did a wine pairing. The wine was perfectly paired with each delicious dish.
We enjoyed a multi-course meal with paired wines. All courses were exceptional, with the Moroccan fish tagine and grilled Wagyu beef being most notable. The 2014 Old Vines zinfandel from My Father's Vineyard, Dry Creek Valley was the perfect complement to the Wagyu beef, and was our favorite wine of the event. We also enjoyed the 2015 Chardonnay, Wild Oak Vineyard, Sonoma Valley. A self-guided stroll through the vineyard concluded our visit.
Wine and food were fantastic, our host were knowledgeable. The overall experience great!!!
My wife and I booked the wine and food pairing as part of our anniversary celebration. We had read so much about it and it surpassed all expectations, despite the fact that we learned the winery was in transition between executive chefs. Sous Chef Eric Watesky and helpers provided an extraordinary experience for about a dozen of us. We were educated on the food, wine and tastes by a pair of very knowledgeable lady hosts. For me the highlight was the pairing of 2014 Old Vines Zin (My Father's Vineyard) with Pork Adobado and the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon (Rockpile) with Grilled Wagyu Beef. My wife is a vegetarian (we called this in ahead of time) and she enjoyed a great Grilled Plantain and Crab Cake in place of the pork and beef. It was a once-in-a-lifetime event for us that we will never forget.
Excellent meal and a very engaging and knowledgeable
Great food and wine pairings in a picturesque wine country setting. Open table for friendly conversations and knowledgeable wine and food staff. This is our third time we’ve gone with friends or family. A very excellent experience by all.
Thank you St. Francis Winery
The wine & food pairing was highly recommended and did not disappoint! My husband requested vegetarian and the chef did not disappoint even though most of the items for others consisted of meat or fish. We gained knowledge about cooking, wine pairings, and repeat diners. This was an amazing surprise reservation we will repeat next visit to the area. The wine served is not the typical St Francis retail wine experience.
I am not a foodie nor do I have any expertise as to wine. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed the St. Francis experience. The food was beautifully presented, interesting, and delicious. The wine truly set the tone for the food. Our "guide" was warm, hospitable, and knowledgable. This was an absolute win!
As long time fans of St. Francis wine, we decided to visit the winery and enjoy a wine pairing feast. The wine and food far exceeded our expectations and with the exception of the port (which was good), we ordered one or several bottles of all offerings and had them shipped home to South Carolina.
