Billy was a fantastic waiter. Our meal was outstanding as usual! And we love to people watch to see the first timers of the famous shrimp cocktail burn face.
Best meal in town to celebrate a milestone birthday. There is something magical about old school cool and horseradish.
The food and service was Perfect. However there should be more of a selection of appetizers and better choices of food on the menu. I'm not sure if Covid is the cause of this but theres not a lot of options. The liquid love affair was very good. All and all the choice of food I selected was Very tasty and worth it.
Great service. Food was very good. Waiter was excellent.
First time ever going and it was fantastic. Staff was friendly and made you feel like you've been coming there for years. Food is incredible, atmosphere is calm and professional. 10/10 would return and recommend.
Excellent service, excellent food, excellent atmosphere...what else is there to say?
Our server, Mark took excellent care of us walking through each part of the menu and meal. He unhurriedly answered all our questions and made us feel like we were the only guests he had to attend to.
4 dads took our 12 year old sons to dinner while we were in Indy for a hockey tournament. It was an outstanding dinner and they took care of the boys very well. This was well worth the price.
Our waiter was amazing. He had the voice of the Allstate commercial lol. Hope he gets extra kudos!
It was my wife's birthday and I could not think of a better place to spend the milestone. We both did the iconic shrimp cocktail, steaks for each and finished with the crème brulee. What a nice evening!
Great dinner as usual but sure wish the person at the next table hadn't coughed through our entire meal. Hope he didn't have anything contagious.
Had a great meal with 2 of my daughters. Vladimir was our waiter, he was awesome. Started out with the shrimp cocktail, really spicy and a “kick in the face.” Steaks were delicious. Ended with the creme brûlée 🎉
Me the Mom & my 2 adult kids drove little over 2 hrs to eat at St Elmo's steakhouse. My kids ordered the dry aged tom-a-hawk ribeye & me porkchops. We had shrimp cocktail & sides with bread & sodas & also Liquid Love Affair champagne beverage. They were all awesome & outstanding! We even ordered desserts to go home with us. My Son very picky on his steaks said finally a place that cooks steaks right! Both our visits on a Wednesday & Sunday evening were outstanding! Staff was very nice & place was very pretty & elegant looking. We were dressed casual as well. We left nice tips for our waiters/waitress. We enjoy walking around Indy Mall before we ate at St Elmo's too. 5 stars 🌟 for St Elmo's
First time at your establishment and it exceeded all our expectations! We will most definitely be returning.
It was a fantastic meal as expected, the service was great, staff was very friendly and I was happy with the adjustments made in response to the pandemic. It was a great night out and we'll definitely be back.
Great service and great food! St. Elmo’s allows you to enjoy your meal and caters to your every need.
The aged Prime Ribeye was surprisingly very tough. I ordered Medium. The edges and top of steak were charred almost even classified as burnt. the only enjoyable part was the middle. I did not complain because I was not sure if it was more so my fault for not understanding how the aged steaks are prepared. It had been almost two years or so since I had eaten there. This was the first time I have eaten there and came away thinking the price was not worth it. Everything else was amazing. Your barrel pick bourbons were a pleasant surprise. My wife loved here chicken and I did as well. Truth be told it was juicier than my steak...
Our waiter saved the meal, he was great... the food however for the hype around the restaurant is subpar. I definitely would only repeat for drinks. For the cost their are much better options for great steakhouses in Indianapolis.

My wife and I have lived in Indiana for 16 years but up until Saturday had never gone to St Elmos Steakhouse. Wow! What a great overall experience. The atmosphere is really cool with an old charm that doesn’t look likes it has changed since the early 1900’s but clean. Our waiter Steve has waited tables there for 31 years and was a wealth of information and a really good server. The food was excellent from the shrimp appetizer to the lobster bisque to the chopped salad to the 38 oz Tomahawk ribeye to the butter cake with home made ice cream. Over all it was a great night. Plan on $100 per person plus tip but well worth every penny.
Our GoTo steakhouse in Indy!
We always request the same server. He is awesome!
The staff is wonderfully friendly and accommodating.
We love St. Elmo's!
Excellent food and service as always!
I always receive great service here and the food is always excellent. For this visit, Billy served our table and he was the best we've had here so far. In addition to excellent service, his stories about the history of the restaurant were entertaining and fun to listen to.
Always excellent food and service. They do an excellent job of making allowances for seating due to the pandemic.
Not only is the food top notch, the service is immaculate. Jody was our server and she was so patient and nice and funny as well. We celebrated a birthday after a hard holiday of loss. She brightened the night and we had a BLAST. The food can’t be beat. Cooked to perfection. The food is always great, even by DoorDash, (Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve for us to be specific. Busy nights and the food was STILL exceptional as always). DEFINITELY RECOMMEND 100%.
Excellent food served in a classic, warm atmosphere. Philip, our waiter, was attentive, professional and efficient.
It was my wife’s 30th birthday and the food was absolutely delicious. When our server asked us what we wanted to drink my wife asked for a fun cocktail for her birthday and the server dismissed her. She felt judged and it made her feel like she wanted to leave. Minus the service of our server it was a great place to be.
This was my first time taking myself out to a high end restaurant, and I am beyond impressed.
Walking in, my girlfriend and I were immediately greeted with a warm welcome and friendly service. When our waitress came, she was patient and friendly.
The navy bean soup was savory, and definitely a lone reason I would come back. The USDA New York strip is easily the best steak I’ve ever had the pleasure to taste. It was juicy, packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. My girlfriend ordered the Fillet Mignon, and that was just as good.
We didn’t end up getting the famous shrimp cocktail or any of the sauces, but the experience alone was one to remember.
Always enjoy dining at St Elmo’s. It was so nice to go during the week and during covid, because it was fairly quiet, the atmosphere was calm, and our server was very attentive (which they always are, it was just with it not being so packed it didn’t feel rushed).
Absolutely on of, if not the best, filet I have had. Shrimp cocktail was amazing as usual. Wedge salad has a ton of large bacon bits. Service was outstanding. We had a drink in the upstairs lounge first and visited with cigar smokers from the past.
Outstanding just doesn't cut it to describe the service. Hope I'm fortunate enough in the future to be able to dine at this establishment again. Top notch all the way around.
You will NEVER go wrong with St. Elmo. No question.
Awesome as always. Still the best in town. Food was exceptional.
I think $10 to park your car is over priced out dinner was $250 well
Excellent food and service. Our waiter even gave us a tour!
We were pleased with everything for this anniversary dinner. However, we didn’t closely review the receipt at the time we were leaving. The next day we realized we had been charged for 4 soft drinks we did not order or receive. The soft drinks were charged at $2.95 each, so we had an almost $12 overcharge. Other than that, it was a wonderful dinner!
Thank you! We were in a room to ourselves, waitress was great and food was awesome!! Much appreciated!!😊
Excellent dining experience Food was amazing. Server was attentive and fun overall great anniversary
Birthday Dinner on the 2nd, birthday was the 1st. First visit to Elmo's and will not be the last. Exquisite food, best Bone-in Filet and on point service made this one the my top meals ever, ever. Would recommend to anyone!
Our head waiter Andy really made the night special for us and our children.
Absolutely amazing dinner spot! The shrimp cocktail is a must and one of the most unique appetizers I’ve ever tried. The navy bean soup with each steak is another item that makes this restaurant unique. Finally, their steaks will rival any top steakhouse!
