It was fun to sample wines from New Mexico. We had the Chardonnay & Pinot noir - both were good. Food choices were fine.
Excellent locally produced wines (really enjoyed Nativo & the Merlot). Food was similarly excellent.
Waiter seemed a bit distracted. A couple times he had to be reminded by my wife that we'd asked for something. Wasn't as present as I would've expected for a Sunday early-afternoon. That said, he was pleasant & a decent representative for St Clairs Bistro ABQ. We will certainly be back.
It was some wait but the food was worth it. It all tasted amazing! They have a large selection of wines. We went for our anniversary. It was bit loud for conversation but overall a good place to go.
Overall my experience at the St. Clair winery was extremely positive. I was celebrating by myself but even on a busy Saturday night I never felt neglected. The waitress was very knowledgeable of both the wine list and the menu and very capable of making recommendations. When I was unsure of which wines to order, she offered to let me taste and decide for myself. The food was also an interesting combination of traditional French cuisine with the addition of some New Mexican flavors. I greatly reccomend it for anyone in Albuquerque, whether they are looking for a great date night or just to experience something different.
We celebrated my moms 79th birthday with breakfast! The service and food was fantastic, and being able to reserve a table was the definite bonus! Thank you all!

Food was excellent, service was above par for Albuquerque, wine was very good. Only downside of this restaurant is the atmosphere- it is wide open area with only waist height walls so when it is busy you can barely have a conversation without raising your voice. Patio seating would probably be nicer but we were in the middle of the floor in the main dining area and it was loud. We will definitely be going back but during a less busy dinner hour or as I said we will request outside seating.
We have eaten here several times in the past and always enjoyed both the menu, wine and service. This visit was rather inattentive and mediocre in all aspects. Maybe we were just not in the mood or maybe there was a lull in the vibrancy but we simply decided not to return.
I had the most amazing experience at St. Clair last night that has my fiance and I still talking about it. Their Valentine's Day Menu was incredible. Fettuccini Pasta with Squid Ink? Wow! Not only was the food amazing but it was out incredibly quickly! Also the Wine Flights our server suggested paired perfectly with our meals. We went home with a bottle of their "Kiva Special Reserve" which was equally amazing. We will definitely be back!
Went for Valentine's day. Hostess and front-end manager could not find our reservation. Then they said "they don't do OpenTable anymore," which bothered me... it was as if it was my fault they couldn't find the reservation. They were disorganized on one of the busiest nights of the year. Overall the food was OK and such. I was expecting a lot better service. With so many options in Old Town, I won't be going back. "Seasons Rotisserie & Grill" is always a winner with better service.
The drinks and appetizers were delicious we had calamari and the lobster bisque’ was good but the lobster pieces were very tiny. When we received our main entree’ it wasn’t that great. The steak was way too underdone and so was the shrimp. It was practically raw. There was nothing special about the steak or shrimp. The bernaise sauce was bland and the shrimp had no exciting flavor to it. The steak which was filet was pretty tough. I think it was an end cut. I didn’t care for it. The service was ok.
Food was very good, pleasant, cozy atmosphere with great friendly staff.

Definitely an excellent value close to the old town in Albuquerque. A little hectic getting seated due to the large crowd when we arrived, but otherwise the service was excellent and we did not feel rushed. Besides flights of wine, you were given an opportunity to taste a wine before purchasing a bottle.
Surprisingly good food and a great value. My husband had the pecan crusted trout, which was excellent and only $15. I opted for a Spinach salad. I find their wines to be on the sweet side but enjoyed my tasting. We had a play to get to and the service was excellent.
The food is just absolutely delicious. Nice flair that it all is made with a local wine that is paired perfectly with it. The service is top notch....especially Sydney!!! She was fantastic!!!!!
Amzing place and really enjoyed the extensive wine selection
This was our second visit. We received a GC for our anniversary. I ordered the Steak Bernaise medium well. One piece was well done and the other rare which I gave half to my husband as it was too rare for me. It was even too rare for him. Chef was way off on this one. The flavor of our meals were very good and our waiter was too. I did mention it was our anniversary, a complimentary dessert would have been awesome! I like the wine tasting flights. It's a nice way to sample different wines. Prices are reasonable.
Both times we were seated by the bar where there are way too many TV's. If they're going to be on in the dining room, consider what is on them. One had the history of the winery which was great, the other had a violent cop show. Not conducive to an enjoyable dinner out. We'll be back to try the brunch as we still have some left on our GC but we'll ask to sit away from the bar area.
St. Claire's is a fantastic restaurant. The food and service were what you might expect in a more expensive restaurant. We greatly enjoyed our pecan encrusted trout and the wine was delicious, all very reasonably priced. Try the wine ice cream and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. We loved it so much we went back a second time before heading to the airport.
Went for date night. Great experience and food was great. Best steak I tried so far. Is expensive but was worth it.
This restaurant is our favorite and is worth the drive. I highly recommend it to everyone.
My friend's first time, he's a cattleman and thought the rib eye was delicious. I had the pecan crusted trout and i loved it. Service was excellent; the server was on point but not overbearing.
Great dinner and service! My wife and I had our first date at St. Claire so it's a special place. We'll be back!
My wife and I tried St. Clare for the first time on Saturday the 13th. We were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time. The table was in the middle of the dining area and a cold breeze came in every time the door opened. The staff was friendly and service was good. The waitress did forget to bring a cup of coffee that was ordered when we placed our dessert order. I had a chicken, green chili pasta that was flat on flavor. I will give it another try, perhaps for Sunday brunch.

First time going to this place. Been wanting to go for a while and decided on making it our date night dinner place. Great atmosphere, good food and wine. The service was a bit slow. Our server did pay attention to the table next to us a bit more so that was a little disappointing. I would give it another try and see if service is better.
This was my second visit to the restaurant in the last 9 months passing through on travel and it didn't disappoint! Love the variety of wines and menu options. I enjoyed a red flight and shared a small plate of brussel sprouts with my guest. Delicious!! We both had difficulty picking an entree as the choices all sounded so good! I enjoyed the chicken and pasta which was nicely spiced and a very generous portion size (leftovers of course) ! My guest enjoyed the pecan crusted chicken with fig sauce. We were both delighted with our selections! Our server was terrific and very helpful. We bought a couple of bottles of wine to take on our trip! Overall another great visit and hope to make it again in a few months! Highly recommend!
We were disappointed as soon as we walked in... way too bright, lots of screaming kids, tv screens and a plastized menu with pictures. Basically a glorified Denny’s. It sounded good from the website, but we realized we’d made a mistake... not the “winery/bistro” we were expecting. We were offered a new harvest sweet blush wine, which seems like an odd choice in mid-winter. We didn’t stay, so I have no idea if the food was good or not. Oh well.
We've eaten at St. Clair's in the past and really enjoyed the experience. Granted, it was years ago. This occasion was my wife's birthday and we invited a couple to join us for dinner. The food was just average. My ribeye was overcooked, the squash was mushy. The filet medallions were so/so and the béarnaise was somewhat tasteless. The only food that was very good was the fish & chips. Wine was superb, our server was very good (Josh), and the wine ice cream was interesting. All in all, it'll probably be some time before we try St. Julian's Winery & Bistro again.

The food and wine were top notch as usual. Really great french onion soup for those with a desire for a light meal/snack. Our goal was to eat and hear a friend play music but the music was only for a private event on the patio which was not advertised as such. We had a good time visiting with friends regardless and all enjoyed their meals.
Been here multiple times and usually great! This last time the food was awful. The cheese on our cheese nosh was hard. My pasta New Mexico had a bunch of chopped green chili with no flavor and uncooked. I had small amounts of tiny hard chicken pieces. We also ordered a spinach dip which our server forgot until we reminded her at dinner. When they brought it to the table it was not spinach dip and not tasty. :(

It is one of our favorite places in Albuquerque. Food, wine and service are all great.
We enjoyed our dinner. Great menu selection. Great wine. Reasonably priced. However, Our server failed to ask if we wanted an appetizer and a salad with our meal. We had to ask for bread also. We will be sure to return.

The food, menu, and service are excellent. Two things are negatives but would not keep me from going back. 1. It is very loud...At least for dinner. I hate having a conversation where I have to holler. 2. The prices may be comparable to other fine dining restaurants but if you have a glass or two of wine, an appetizer and a main dish you probably can only afford to eat here once a year.
I tried the soup of the day which was a tomato bisque. It was superb. The salad that accompanied the soup did not provide the satisfying effect that should have accompanied the meal. There is not much you can do with salads except ensure that the lettuce is crisp and fresh. If that does not happen, the salad has not lived up to its potential and the meal becomes less than extraordinary. The service was excellent. Overall, of the restaurants in or near the downtown area, this one provides the best option for a business meal.
Very enjoyable experience. Food was good and waitress was excellent. Only complaint would be for the hostess—-she asked table or booth- we replied booth and then she took us to a table. Was corrected but when we asked to be seated at a particular booth she indicated it was reserved— no one ever sat there during our meal— and we did have a reservation.
We met friends here for dinner. We got a booth in the back (which I love both). It was a little tight, but I'm not complaining. I loved our table. Great service. Wine Flights were really fun and super reasonable. Good way to try several without commiting. My BF ordered the medallions and I wanted to eat every bite of his food. Spinach salad was huge (and good). All around it was very enjoyable. And I'm picky, so give it a try.
