Wonderful meal! We ate at the dinner buffet, and everything I tried on the buffet was quite good. Then, the chef offered to make me a vegetarian entree which was wonderful. Good wine list as well. Will definitely be eating here often on our trips to Solitude!

Large group of friends enjoying the holiday weekend. St Bernard’s did not disappoint. Food was outstanding - offering something for every different palette. Drinks were great & great service to boot. One of my favorites. Will definitely return & recommend.

We love this spot and have dined here many times over the years. This was a little different with a buffet for dinner, albeit a truly wonderful buffet. We enjoyed the selections and the quality of the food. And most importantly, the server was extremely nice and pleasant. Thank you for a wonderful birthday evening.

We were on vacation at Solitude. My daughter has 6 major food allergies, we spoke to the chef (Javi) early in the day about her allergies. He created versions of all the buffet items that worked for her allergies, along with some other dishes that weren't on the buffet. She actually licked her plate after dessert! Javi came out at the end and spoke to her also. It was an incredibly delicious meal for those of us who could eat the buffet and for my daughter. Thank you, Javi!

After having several amazing experiences at the Yurt in Solitude we were so disappointed by our experience this New Years Eve. When the restaurant called to confirm the reservation they described the menu options for the evening which all sounded great from the description. What was not clear was the menu was actually a buffet style service. Needless to say we were very disappointed that the restaurant served a Buffet style menu for New Year's Eve versus individual course options of the menu described. None of us were impressed with the quality of the food provided on the buffet. We have been coming to Solitude for over 16 years and this meal ranks as the worst dining experience for us and our guests.

Great place to dine. Don’t be turned off by the “buffet” style. It is the nicest buffet I’ve ever been to. Food was exceptional. Everything was cooked perfectly - I had tenderloin so tender that I could cut it with a fork.

We used St. Bernard's as the location for my son's wedding rehearsal dinner. We chose a Scandinavian buffet option and it was wonderful! The chef is Swedish and all the dishes were authentic and delicious!

Our family of 5 ate at St. Bernards while staying at a condo in the Powderhorn building. We had my brother and his girl friend join us. While the season was winding down (Spring break 2017) and so it was pretty quiet in the restaurant, their service and food was outstanding. Instead of the buffet style they normally do - they did family style and the food was all delicious. They also brought specially made dishes for my daughter with allergies and pasta for my two others who weren't quite wanting to eat all the other more adult fare. It is a very good value for a special meal while on vacation - and definitely more reasonable than the same style of meal at other resorts. We were impressed and glad that we chose to eat there.

A good place for dinner on any occasion and very convenient after a full day of skiing. There were ample selections of appetizers, the main course of beef, duck, and salmon were marvelous, and the deserts were enjoyable. The only thing lacking was the butternut soup that was mediocre in texture and taste and the pasta with white cream and parmesean side dish that we asked for was dry . The waitress was very pleasant and attentive and the atmosphere was pleasant. Overall a good dining experience and I would eat there again.

We enjoyed our dinner with friends visiting from NY. My only hesitation in giving food a better rating has to do with the buffet selections. The website menu lists numerous seafood/fish options but the reality of our dinner choices was decidedly weak in that category. To be fair the website states that the menu items change frequently. I would have thought that a fish option would have been a good addition to the buffet. Fried calamari, while crispy and crunchy, does not compensate. All that being said, I was very happy with the entire experience. Service was outstanding.

Open table reservations didn't work well as they didn't have our reservation 15 min later. But they made space for us despite that. The price of 38$ per adult and half for children worked out well when we tasted the food. One would be hard pressed to get that value elsewhere, buts not cheap.
They are quite accommodating and offered to make us food for kids not on menu too.

We were staying at the Inn so ST Bernard's is an easy choice for dinner, but more than that the staff makes you feel very welcome and the food is excellent. The large fireplace creates a ridiculously cozy atmosphere. We love it.

The staff is so warm and gracious. Try to resist the fried chicken if it's on the menu. We love the buffet when we have kids with us - with a large party it means no waiting. They can just go help themselves while the adults enjoy cocktails. Dax in the Library bar really knows how to make a drink. This is a fun evening, and if cold, there's a roaring fire for ambience. We love it!

Nice fireplace and base of the mountain setting but the food is all buffet and it was not good. The chicken was dried out and the sides were very limited. Over priced for what it is - go to Honeycomb for a much better meal.

We dined on a Saturday night at the end of the Holiday season. So I can't understand why they weren't serving from the menu. They had a buffet! I don't eat at buffets. The food was average at best. The price was very high for the small selection. Who serves yellow beets and collars and undercooked cauliflower for the only vegetable options? No salads. The best thing was the cold shrimp cocktail. Sorry, I was expecting more at a resort.

Since Vail Corp. bought this restaurant they changed the dining menu to a buffet. The sides were inventive and good, but all the meats were over cooked. The previous year the chef and the pastry chef were outstanding. The desserts here a bland, don't waste your calories. Over all I was really bummed out the food did not meet the prior years experience.

Wine selection is nice and don't miss the opportunity to have Dax in the Library make you a special drink. He is the mixologist extraordinaire.

Great food and atmosphere along with impeccable service - need I say more? Six adults dined for dinner and everything was cooked to perfection, from the gnocchi, steak, scallops and sea bass. Sadly the restaurant is seasonal.

I visited St. Bernard's twice during my trip to Solitude. If this review were based on the first experience I would have given it all five stars- the pheasant was delicious, probably the best pheasant I've ever had. Beef marrow bone appetizer was unique with a very interesting mix of flavors. On my second visit, however, the gnocchi appetizer was mushy, either overdone or not put together correctly, and my pork shank was a bit dry, stringy, and, surprisingly, not particularly flavorful- it needed a reduction sauce or fruit-based sauce to complement the flavor.

Otherwise, service and ambience was great. I'm not sure why the food was so inconsistent from one visit to the next. I'll still try it again on my next visit, but when the prices are that upscale the food should match.

Mt girlfriend and I came here for a Valentine's celebration dinner and from start to finish this restaurant delivered. The menu was a five course prix fixe menu and we added the four course wine pairing to get the full experience of what Chef Julie Paine- who personally stopped by our table twice- had made for the evening. Each and every course was composed of perfectly balanced flavors and presentations that were so delicately composed one would think they were dining at a Michelin Star restaurant. My girlfriend and I, both being Chefs ourselves, appreciate fine dining and have a tendency to pick apart the quality and/or attention to detail put into what is served; This dinner did not afford us the opportunity to do so.

The oyster amuse bouche was neither over cooked, nor seasoned to the point that you weren't aware of what the focal point of the offering. In fact, this was true of all of the courses. The Sweet Potato Gnocchi matched the sweetness of the potato with the slight acidity of the tomato vodka sauce. My Shaved Asparagus Salad offered a perfect palate cleanser to prepare me for the main course. The Grilled Piemontese Bavette Steak was cooked to a true medium-rare and almost melted in my mouth. Then came dessert and coffee. Chef Julie's Panna Cotta was the perfect end to a perfect meal at a perfect location!

Not only will I return, I will recommend St. Bernard's to anyone looking for a small, romantic location with top notch food and service
