St. Louis" most ardent food-lovers are regulars at SqWires. Our seasonal menu, created by owner and executive chef, Bethany Budde, features creative interpretations of classic American cuisine, with the freshest seafood, prime meats, and indulgent desserts with our trademark simplicity and richness of flavor. Located in the historic Lafayette Square neighborhood, in the former Western Wire Factory, SqWires preserved original 19th century elements and added handcrafted fireplaces, comfortable leather banquette seating, restored overhead factory pulley systems, industrial ceiling fans and exposed brick and beams to create a notable setting for you to meet and eat and drink. Our outdoor dining is available to enjoy the St. Louis weather in spring and summer.
With an extensive martini menu, ten local craft beers on draft, 50 wines and full bar the choices are sure to please, as is live blues and jazz Thursday through Sunday.

The skillets are small and left something to be desired. On the other hand the brioche French toast topped with strawberries was to die for. Very flavorful but not rich. Also tried the biscuits and gravy, which were well done. You can tell the biscuits is made fresh. The server we had seemed to be annoyed, took a while to get refills on our drinks.

We lucked into this restaurant by chance. I didn’t know what to expect, but it met all my expectations! Excellent food, interesting and creative food choices, terrific and attentive service. We were even mived to a nicer table closer to the fire place! Will definitely go again. Cool renovations!

Went for a Sunday brunch with my two teenage children. They loved it, which makes me guaranteed a return! The coffee is always good, and I love their mimosas. Service was very slow but that doesn’t change my overall opinion. We love it.

The ambiance is wonderful with the fire burning in the corner. The waitress and staff were very friendly . My French toast and sausage were both a little dry, and the sausage was tough. My daughter's scrambled eggs were a little too runny for her and she thought her sausage was tough also. My husband thought his breakfast scramble was wonderful though.

We each enjoyed our meal. We ordered the Salmon which was cooked just right, not dry or over cooked. My husband ordered the river & thoroughly enjoyed it as well. My some had the pepperoni pizza special (w/out the pepperoni, lol) & he said he could have eaten two. Management came by to be sure we enjoyed our main course as well. We splurged & had the flourless cake, (divine), the strawberry bread pudding (very generous portion) & the adult hot chocolate (which was a little strong for me but I finished it just the same). This will go on our short list for when we are in the area.

Best brunch in town. They have an amazing bloody mary and mimosa bar. The food is always delicious and reasonably priced!
