What started in October of 2004 as an idea for a simple juice bar developed into a sandwich shop with soups, salads, juices, smoothies and creamsicle sodas. Squeeze Marfa has always carried Vollenweider chocolate from Switzerland. Vollenweider chocolate was started in 1943 by the father of Squeeze Marfa's owner, Verena Zbinden. Her brother and his wife continue to run the family business in Winterthur and Zürich, Switzerland sending handmade chocolate to Marfa directly from the source.

Like the town of Marfa, Squeeze Marfa Cafe is a little bit hard to find but once you are there, you'll "get it." Walk around the corner of the main street (Highland) at Lincoln Street, across from the beautifully restored Courthouse.

Squeeze is the cafe where I take out-of-town friends and clients (for my glider flight school) for breakfast or lunch. Squeeze Marfa is excellent in every aspect.

A favorite breakfast / lunch cafe of many locals and visitors. Definitely make your reservation through Open Table. Indicate inside or outside seating (outside is best for people-watching.)

We had a reservation through Open Table. When we arrived we walked to the counter and waited for someone to acknowledge us. They saw us but it took several minutes for someone to at least talk to us. When we said we had a reservation through Open Table they said they didn't receive it and in fact had not been receiving reservations and didn't know why...! They were not friendly either. We did order and sat down to eat. The food was average at best. We would not recommend it

Took two customers to Squeeze for an early breakfast and they enjoyed it, so we went back for lunch.

Squeeze Marfa was tasty! Difficult to find fresh food out in the remote areas of Fort Davis/Marfa/etc. This was a welcome treat for our family. We had a turkey panini/chips, roast need panini/greens, salami & pickles sandwich and beet/berry smoothie. Everything was delicious. It is a very small and popular place so reservations are recommended and I would even maybe call them a day ahead of time to confirm.

The portions were tiny. For 2 sandwiches that were more bread than filling and 2 drinks it was $30!! We were hungry leaving there. But that's Marfa for you. Not a friendly city and not a fair city.

A unique European style cafe easily found just around the corner from the historic Paisano Hotel and across from the restored Presidio County Courthouse (built 1880.) Find it, you'll like it.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we were told they knew nothing about our Open Table reservations. They had not heard anything from Open Table. Two people, who had just been seated, and had overheard this conversation, offered to move to a smaller table. If they had not been so kind, I do not know what my party of four would have done.

Credit goes to the friendliness of people in small towns.

A Marfa favorite. I live here, bring my out of town guests and business associates for breakfast and/or lunch and they all love it. Call ahead for lunch sandwich take-out -- perfect for picnics around the Marfa Plateau. We are never disappointed in any aspect from service to taste.

Made a reservation at 8am for a 11am visit. Show up and they forgot to set it out so we had no seating available as they were crowded. I am a pretty understanding person so was not too upset but was then informed they were "no longer serving hot food". What?? One of the waitresses delivered the information in a rude and cold way so we decided to leave. It's a shame because the location was really cute.

As a Marfa resident, this is my choice for taking my out-of-town guests to breakfast and lunch.
Try the imported Swiss chocolates! I send them as Christmas gifts every December.

This place came recommended to us as a breakfast place, and we can see why. Good, fresh food. Indoor/outdoor seating available (though I have to admit the flies were annoying, so we moved indoors). Swiss chocolate is available too.

I had made reservations on Open Table for Squeeze. Within the next 10 minutes, I had already received a text from someone from the restaurant asking me if we would like to sit inside or outside. Very kind touch. I had asked for outside. However, when we got there, it was a bit chilly outside, so I asked if we could sit inside instead. They were very accommodating about it. The food is delicious. The french press coffee in particular is extremely good. Our server was very friendly, and our food came out quickly. They have a breakfast menu and a larger lunch menu. I would definitely go back and definitely recommend it to others.
