A favorite breakfast / lunch cafe of many locals and visitors. Definitely make your reservation through Open Table. Indicate inside or outside seating (outside is best for people-watching.)
Excellent as usual. Perfect bowl of
oatmeal, wonderful "Lox Plate."
Excellent! I'm a local who brings out of town friends to this wonderful cafe.
It was a good breakfast. Very small menu. Very nice service. Nice people. Around the corner from hotel
Very small sandwich shop but very good. Great for lunch!
We had a reservation through Open Table. When we arrived we walked to the counter and waited for someone to acknowledge us. They saw us but it took several minutes for someone to at least talk to us. When we said we had a reservation through Open Table they said they didn't receive it and in fact had not been receiving reservations and didn't know why...! They were not friendly either. We did order and sat down to eat. The food was average at best. We would not recommend it
Took two customers to Squeeze for an early breakfast and they enjoyed it, so we went back for lunch.
Squeeze Marfa cafe is always consistent. Wonderful staff, attentive owner and a perfect menu for breakfast or lunch.
This place doesn't really do open table. We arrived and they did not know about the reservation. The restaurant is order at the counter and open seating. No tables are reserved.
Nice breakfast, ladies who work there always efficient and professional, great Swiss chocolates also for sale.
Excellent as always. Wonderful Swiss style cafe. Love the lox plate.
We'll be back!
This Swiss Cafe has outstanding service and excellent food for breakfast and lunch. A local favorite so reservations via Open Table are a good idea.
Squeeze Marfa was tasty! Difficult to find fresh food out in the remote areas of Fort Davis/Marfa/etc. This was a welcome treat for our family. We had a turkey panini/chips, roast need panini/greens, salami & pickles sandwich and beet/berry smoothie. Everything was delicious. It is a very small and popular place so reservations are recommended and I would even maybe call them a day ahead of time to confirm.
The portions were tiny. For 2 sandwiches that were more bread than filling and 2 drinks it was $30!! We were hungry leaving there. But that's Marfa for you. Not a friendly city and not a fair city.
Wonderful service, excellent menu and no other place like it in Marfa. Reservations recommended even for breakfast because Squeeze Marfa is that good!
A unique European style cafe easily found just around the corner from the historic Paisano Hotel and across from the restored Presidio County Courthouse (built 1880.) Find it, you'll like it.
Very fresh and generous portions. Panini style sandwiches and the potato jalapeño soup was great. Nice staff and welcoming ambience . Small seating area inside but nice outdoor seating available.
Perfect for breakfast and lunch. A short walk from the historic Hotel Paisano.
When we arrived at the restaurant, we were told they knew nothing about our Open Table reservations. They had not heard anything from Open Table. Two people, who had just been seated, and had overheard this conversation, offered to move to a smaller table. If they had not been so kind, I do not know what my party of four would have done.
Credit goes to the friendliness of people in small towns.
Our picky teenagers ate everything! Need I say more? Plus the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The owner even took time to meet and greet. Great find!
A Marfa favorite. I live here, bring my out of town guests and business associates for breakfast and/or lunch and they all love it. Call ahead for lunch sandwich take-out -- perfect for picnics around the Marfa Plateau. We are never disappointed in any aspect from service to taste.
Made a reservation at 8am for a 11am visit. Show up and they forgot to set it out so we had no seating available as they were crowded. I am a pretty understanding person so was not too upset but was then informed they were "no longer serving hot food". What?? One of the waitresses delivered the information in a rude and cold way so we decided to leave. It's a shame because the location was really cute.
As a Marfa resident, this is my choice for taking my out-of-town guests to breakfast and lunch.
Try the imported Swiss chocolates! I send them as Christmas gifts every December.
Take a very short walk towards the beautifully restored 1880 Courthouse, turn west (left) and you'll find "Squeeze".
"Squeeze" is just around the corner from the historic Hotel Paisano (which does not serve breakfast or lunch) in downtown Marfa.
I'm a Marfa resident and I bring my out-of-town guests to Squeeze Marfa for breakfast and lunch. They always enjoy the food, the service and the ambiance of this quaint cafe. Five stars!
Loved the vibe and look of the place. The food was also honest and tasty.
I take my out of town guests to Squeeze Marfa on the first day they arrive. My guests rave about their breakfast and lunch experiences, going back to Squeeze repeatedly during their stay.
This place came recommended to us as a breakfast place, and we can see why. Good, fresh food. Indoor/outdoor seating available (though I have to admit the flies were annoying, so we moved indoors). Swiss chocolate is available too.
Excellent food, attentive owner, wonderful staff.
I LOVE Squeeze Marfa! Everything is fresh and delicious with a European vibe! Small, quaint and cozy! The fact that you can get Swiss Chocolate is even more incredible!! Such a nice surprise in my favorite West Texas town!
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from a text thanking me for the reservation to acknowledgment of my reservation upon arrival. As an out-of-towner, I'd definitely visit again and recommend to any friends!
A unique Swiss-American cafe of excellent quality and service.
A wonderful and unique Swiss cafe in far west Texas!
I had made reservations on Open Table for Squeeze. Within the next 10 minutes, I had already received a text from someone from the restaurant asking me if we would like to sit inside or outside. Very kind touch. I had asked for outside. However, when we got there, it was a bit chilly outside, so I asked if we could sit inside instead. They were very accommodating about it. The food is delicious. The french press coffee in particular is extremely good. Our server was very friendly, and our food came out quickly. They have a breakfast menu and a larger lunch menu. I would definitely go back and definitely recommend it to others.
The food is simple, real, and delicious!
Using Open Table was essential for our group, as this wonderful cafe is very popular for breakfast and lunch.
Perfect place to take out-of-town guests for breakfast or lunch in Marfa, Texas.
See the May 2013 issue of "Texas Highways."
Excellent breakfast and lunch menu with a European style. Wonderful staff. Great location in the center of town. Take home some Vollenweider chocolates, imported from Switzerland. Very popular even for breakfast so reservations are a good idea via the www.opentable.com website.
Reminds me of a European cafe . . . probably because the owner is Swiss!
