We are committed to our guests with an obsession for unique brews and spirits, and a passion for good food. The setting is a restored historic building with large outdoor beer garden making our restaurant a one of a kind dining destination. Our menu is large and varied with each dish having a special twist to make it our own. Our on site brewery provides up to 12 beers on tap including ales, pilsners, imperials, cask conditioned ales and seasonal beers. As St. Louis' first micro-distillery we ferment and distill rum and vodka (both straight and with spices and all natural botanicals) gin, and some very tasty liqueurs to be tasted in our Spirits Flight or mixed into your favorite cocktails. We have a full service bar and an excellent wine list all available by the glass or bottle. Square One Brewery and Distillery is a fun relaxed place and a great way to indulge in all the aspects of a fine dinging experience.

Always a good experience and the energy and patio are great.

Randomly pick Square One and really liked it. Ironically, had brunch there the following morning and enjoyed it even more. Great food, cocktails and beer!

Mother’s Day brunch was a delight. Good variety of good food on buffet. Don’t miss the dessert table in separate room!

I'm a fan of Sqaure One already, however, I was disappointed with the brunch food choices. Fried chicken (which was outstanding) without mashed potatoes and gravy? Everyone from my group commented on that, and said they expected more of a variety of food choices. Our waitress, Justine, was pleasant and efficient. We appreciate her service.

Good food. Server was knowledgeable and friendly. It was busy and a little congested where they seated us by the buffet.

The cocktails (Hemingway and Sazerac) were amazing. Appetizer was great. Mains and desserts 50/50. Our server was very good--attentive, cordial, and accurate.

I've been here several times and always have a good experience. The food, beer, and cocktails are all really good. The outdoor dining area is a nice treat as well. Highly recommended!

Fabulous brunch! Crab cake benedict is life-changing! As good as our favorite breakfast spot in Destin, FL. Grab a seat on the outside patio if the weather is good.

This is our go-to for a casual Sunday brunch! The seafood omelet and crab cake benedict are amazing! Really enjoyed the Bloody Mary Flight and Apple Cider Mimosas. Good thing we made reservations, there was a good Cardinal crowd there!

I know this sounds overstated but it was one of the top 3 restaurants I have ever been to in terms of the quality of the service, quality of the food, and quality of the beer.
I wish I lived in Saint Louis. The best experience I have had at a restaurant in the last 5 years. Would highly recommend. Low key place with top notch food and drinks.

Brought out-of-town family for dinner and some of us were going to the Symphony. Loved that our group of six could hear one another talk.

We were greeted with smiles and were seated immediately at our table. Waitress was by to take drink orders and explain the menu as well as the buffet options. One of our party ordered from the menu, while the other two decided on the Easter Brunch Buffet. All of the food was excellent. So many different choices on the buffet, including, smoked salmon, raw shrimp, fresh fruit, poached eggs on corned beef hash, ham off the bone, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, croissants, biscuits & gravy, blintzes, pastries and entire other area with desserts such as red velvet cake, brownies, cookies, cheesecake, strawberries with a chocolate sauce and more. And the staff was very attentive, continuously replenishing the food. I had a very refreshing cucumber vodka drink that I would go back just for another one of those!
Ambiance was wonderful, and service was just excellent. We will definitely be back.

Found this place on Open Table when the restaurant we wanted to go to had no availability. We were all pleasantly surprised. Would try it again if in the area. We left plenty of time before going to The Fox so we were able to enjoy a leisurely conversation/dinner. We could have gone a bit later - say 5:45 pm instead of 5:30.

I had lunch on a Monday with a friend and I have visited this restaurant many times. It appeared they were not very busy, lots of tables were open. However, our food took a long time to be served. At one point, I was going to inquire if our order had been placed. Perhaps they were short on cooks, but if this would happen again, I would not be in a hurry to return.

Sqaure One was only just okay. The food was normal food you would find at a brewery, nothing overly special. We were seated in the back dining space - which was VERY loud and could barely hear my parents sitting across from me. I came hear with my boyfriend and my parents for dinner and felt that we could barely hear a word - granted it was a Saturday night but it was too loud for my tastes for this specific occasion. The front bar room was super cozy and cute however. I would definitely come back if I was able to get a seat at the bar for a couple beers. Everything about this place was okay - nothing overwhelmingly good for me.

First time dine and we went for Sunday brunch. Menu was very appealing to us with a large variety of savory dishes along with a few sweet ones. My husband ordered the scotch egg and the shrimp/crab omelet (note that a 4 egg omelet means just 4 eggs not 8). I ordered the cinnamon roll and the Southern Breakfast (andouille sausage, grits, biscuit/gravy, potatoes). Portions were plentiful - enough for 2 rounds of leftovers! Everything tasted very good. I was a bit disappointed in the breakfast cocktail menu - most were beer related and I don't like beer. Yeah I realize this is a brewery but it's also a distillery, and I would have liked to see a few more non-beer options. We would definitely come back again to try a few more things on the brunch menu.

I feel like we may have been a pain. We were having fun, may have been louder, all 5 had separate checks, a few of us changed our orders, we asked for way too many condiments, ect...

Our server was patient, kind, very helpful, and never showed an ounce of irritation. I wish I could remember her name now. Great food, ok prices, and just the best server ever. We aren't normally rude foodies. Just a perfect storm of celebration
And giddiness. She made it better.

The beer and spirits produced on site are very good, but the kitchen is what keeps us coming back. The menu is very solid and the execution is consistently excellent. I just really enjoy drinking and eating at Square One, whether at the bar or on the patio when the weather is nice.

Restaurant was great atmosphere. We were seated in a corner under a speaker the music was so loud. They started seating tables around us. With the other tables sat we were now uncomfortably blocked in.
Our service was quick but lacking . This is a brewery we were never told of drinks or feature beers? We ordered food . It was tasty and quick . The shrimp and grits was what I ordered . It was delicious but $17 for a portion that was child sized. There was no side offered with it. We were rushed through and never offered anything else. The server did refill our drinks promptly. It was ok . We might go back but we can wait .

Wonderful brunch! We enjoyed the Bloody Mary Flight - not so much with Bourbon, but the Wheat Vodka, Tequila and Gin were awesome! The seafood omelet was delicious and did not skimp on seafood. Crab cakes benedict also did not disappoint. Share a Scotch Egg, it's worth the calories! We will definitely be back.
