Very good good! Inventive menu.Good location.choices were good.Service was very good . Prices were good. You could also cart stuff for a lite bill or do the whole Nine yards with a prefix meal.Drinks were different and fun.
We were on an overnight and the noise was a little high for us.We are old but it was not a deal breaker.we had a table at a window which was great for people watching. I'd go back
This was our first dining experience at Square 1682 and we enjoyed it. The food was good and our server was excellent. It's a bit noisy for my taste but I will return.
Friendly and very attentive service. The duck wings are fantastic.
It was my husband’s Birthday and the restaurant was great. Everything from the drinks, food, waitress to the ambience of the restaurant. The best thing on the menu was the mushroom starter and the jerk chicken. Everything the waitress recommended was amazing.
From the host to the servers to the manager, everyone is wonderful and the food is delicious.
Made a reservation and still got seated in the lounge area by the front door. The food was very good and the server was excellent. Low marks are because of the VERY disappointing experience with the table. I expect better when I make a reservation that I keep on time.
Really enjoyed. Nice vibe. Good food. Liked everything in particular roasted mushrooms!
Over priced small portions but it's what we expect in the city. Waitress didn't ask if we needed more drinks after the first. Service slowed down toward the end of the meal. Food was good.
The food was very good and outer server was excellent!
Disappointed! I was asked if I was a Kimpton Inner Circle member which I am but then got no special treatment - what’s the point?! Also menu posted outside listed pork shank which had motivated my dining there but yet wasn’t on the menu - another disappointment. Two years ago when I stayed at the Palomar, this restaurant was such a highlight - excellent food, extraordinary service, tasty drinks - what happened?
Great as usual!
Food and service was great!!!
It was a good overall experience! Food, Ambience, and Service!
Food was fine but ambiance was horrible. Very loud and obnoxious music — like a club. We couldn’t hear our server or have a conversation. I wouldn’t go back.
Anniversary — restaurant week
The duck wings were delicious. I didn't care for the instant mashed potatoes, other than that food was pretty food. Service was slow, but I assume that is due to restaurant week crowd. Would definitely recommend and try again.
Keto is always friendly and professional, as is the hosting staff, and the breakfast is delicious.
Visited Square 1682 for Restaurant Week. The ambiance was pleasant and welcoming. Service was good. The menu options were decent. The cornbread is addictive. My fiancee and I shared the duck wings and the Burratta for the first course. Both were quite tasty. For Dinner we each had the Jerk Chicken. Being the descendant of islanders, the jerk chicken was not what I expected, however it was a decently seasoned half chicken. The Square 1682 hot sauce didn't make it jerk, but added a subtle "kick". For dessert we each had the peach cobbler. It was served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which pleasantly cut down the sweetness of the cobbler. We would definitely return to experience Square 1682 for happy hour.
Everything was great! My son really loved that the kids meal came with a diy cookie that he got to decorate and eat for dessert. The food was really good. The duck wings were delicious!
Great food, and awesome drinks! I would love some options on various sides.
My girlfriend and I went here on a Friday night during Restaurant Week, and it wasn't very busy. This should have been our first clue for how the evening would go. Our drinks and appetizers were both very good. But, as soon as we ordered dinner our waitress seemed to disappear. Our dinner took much longer to come out than we had anticipated, and during that time both our drinks and our waters were empty for about 20 minutes. The waitress took our utensils after the appetizer, and then took another five minutes after our dinner came out to bring new silverware. Dinner was positively mediocre. I got the jerk chicken, and while it was cooked well, it was incredibly bland. My girlfriend got the salmon and noticed that the mashed potatoes it came with were leaking greasy butter. Neither of us particularly enjoyed our entrees. Dessert was again just okay. I don't usually mind either sub par service or mediocre food when the other is able to make up for the shortfall. This was not the case, here. I can say, without a doubt, I will never be eating here again.
We chose Square 1682 for the 6th night of Restaurant Week, and I was pleasantly surprised. They called ahead of time to confirm the reservation and ask about any food allergies, which has never happened before, and was much appreciated. There are so many mixed reviews- many with legitimate complaints, and not just people being difficult to please or unrealistic.
We had an early reservation, and were seated right away. Although it was fine when we got there, once the restaurant filled up, we realized that the setup is a bit tight, as other diners had a hard time getting through the table to leave or go to the restroom.
Our server was Adam, and he was great- attentive and friendly. He had quite a bit of tables that he was taking care of, so we had to wait awhile to get our leftovers boxed up and ask for the check. Also, although they took note of my food allergies, they did not tell our server, so that seemed a bit pointless...
We had the cornbread that came with the Restaurant Week menu, and it was delicious. My boyfriend asked for more, and we were charged for it, which was interesting- I've never had a restaurant charge for extra bread, but oh well...We both started with the rigatoni, and I chose the everything salmon for dinner, and the peach cobbler for dessert. My boyfriend chose the jerk chicken and the chocolate cake for dessert. We both had Tito's with Sprite, and found the drinks to be nice and strong.
The rigatoni was very nice- the pasta was perfectly cooked, and the pesto was tasty. The salmon was interesting. I don't think I would have ever thought to put everything bagel seasoning on salmon, and I'm not really sure that it works so well. My boyfriend really enjoyed the jerk chicken. Dessert was pretty tasty UNTIL I found a large, hard piece of plastic in my peach cobbler. I didn't eat anymore of it after that, and our server never returned since the bill was paid at that point. My boyfriend enjoyed his chocolate cake.
The food and service was excellent. Our server was friendly and patient. She explained all the entrees. I didn't care for the where there is smoke, there is fire drink but she took it back and offered a better cocktail.
Had a Travel Zoo voucher for a three course meal with wine and had an excellent overall experience.
HWas really surprised by how delicious the food was at this hotel restaurant. Everything was outstanding.
I had ordered the ragu raviolo pasta and I was very disappointed. It had a very small amount of meat and the meat in it was very poor quality - fatty and pieces of gristle. My wife had the salmon and a glass of wine - $16. She commented that it was overpriced. I don't recall ever hearing her say that before. I will not return here. There are so many better options in Philadelphia.
Definitely could have used an espresso machine.. you need a latte with breakfast or brunch! Could have used coconut milk or almond milk options too.
Sasha is phenomenal! As are the entire Square 1682 team, great chef, great hostess, great runner, etc. the Christmas dinner was terrific! You can’t get better than here.
We found this restaurant for a Christmas dinner on our trip to Philadelphia. Excellent food and very good service, Highly recommended.
Christmas dinner. We were visiting our son for the holiday.
Enjoyed a superb Christmas meal at Square 1682. Not only was the meal fantastic, but the pleasant festive staff made dining there even more enjoyable. Great job all around!
Angela was once again aa superb guide for dinner. Roasted carrot and ginger soup was excellent as was the chef’s superb jerk chicken. Always a terrific experience.
Was advertised for a Christmas seasoned oriented menu for dinner. Wrong. Also, they did not have iced tea or potatoes...pretty standard for any restaurant to have in my opinion.
One of the worst meals I ever had
The crab cakes arrived cold. Sent them back and they were still Luke warm. The only positive was the waitress. She seemed genuinely concerned about our disastrous meal
Service was excellent by Adam! The mushroom dish was to die for!
How do you run out of chicken and bacon at 11:45a on a brunch day?
Delicious soup and half grilled cheese sandwich- just what we needed on a cold day.
Great food. Outstanding friendly and prompt service. I will definitely return next time I’m in Philadelphia.
Awesome service! Food was good but not special. Place was a bit loud & bathrooms on another floor, but nice inside.
Kito is wonderful, and the breakfast was delicious.
