Was so good we ate there twice! The service was so friendly and the happy hour was a great value. You must try the fried green tomato caprisse, one of the best apatizer creations ever! All the food was fresh and local. The chef has an incredible palette and creates food with heart. Made our trip to Teton Valley even more magical!
I was very much looking forward to a night at Spur and was regrettably let down. While our waiter was outstanding he was not enough to carry an evening of ill prepared food. My husband ordered the pot roast which was flavorless and overcooked. I ordered my salmon specifically medium rare and it came medium well. Very disappointing. I am a prolific foodie and believe Spur needs and overhaul to its menu!
Food outstanding, creative with great flavors. Casual, relaxed environment. Disappointment though was the wine list, which was one of the worst for quality, variety and value, that I have seen for years. Apparently the result of a mgt change. We would have spent a lot more, of the choice had been there.
This wasn't my first time at Spur and it won't be my last! Every meal is special and delightful and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! Chef Kevin has been voted best chef in the valley for 9 consecutive years and it shows why. Great service, food and ambiance!
We arrived for a late lunch and sat outside. A runner brought us water. Our server arrived and took our drink order. Despite there being few people inside or out he forgot my drink. The beet salad was delicious. The soup and pork sandwich were both lukewarm. Neither was especially tasty.
Had a terrific dinner at the Spur the other night. The poke taco appetizer was very flavorful, followed by the farmer's market salad and the salmon entree. All three dishes were very good. The wine list by the glass was not as robust as I would have expected for a restaurant of this caliber. I would recommend the Spur restaurant and would plan on frequenting again the next time we are in Teton Village
Very poor service. Although we had a reservation, we waited by the hostess stand forever. Several employees saw us, but none acknowledged that we were there. They did not appear to be very busy. Very bad impression, and with all the wonderful places to go in Jackson Hole, we won't be back here.
We've gone to Spur during our ski vacation for 3 years now. This was by far the worst experience.
We secured a reservation through open table weeks prior to our trip. When we got there for dinner they said that they have had many large parties check in and they have no room for our party in the dining room. We were presented with a less than stellar seating option at the bar.
We expected to be seated in the dining room and instead we felt discarded for larger parties and was relegated to the bar area.
Spoke to the manager, Alex and he was apologetic but actually said that an open table reservation is tough because they don't get any preference and prefer an on the phone reservation. Wow!
I said that it was disappointing to find out that they could not accommodate us in the dining room after having a reservation for dinner many days prior. More importantly, they did not call us to ask about our preference.
In the end they bought out appetizer and dessert. You decide if that was adequate.
Stayed at the hotel for a week and ate there a few times, both for light meals and full dinners.
Food was very good, help was very good considering they seemed to be hustling with all workers helping out. A little pricey but normal for a tourist hotel. Overall a very nice experience.
Great Apres ski food. Best food in Jackson and great service. Tasty and creative dishes. Had the 3 beef sliders, Devil on Horseback (goat cheese stuffed, medjool dates wrapped in bacon w/pomegranate Demi glaze), Deviled eggs, Spur salad. It was all healthy, delicious and hit the spot after skiing.
Slow service and limited menu in a trendy spot. The menu offers few choices but the flavor and presentation were good once our orders were served. The elk gravy fries are a very tasty appetizer however a few of our fries were still frozen. We had early dinner reservations and had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. The host was not the friendliest guy either. The restaurant is very mountain contemporary in design and has a hip vibe. It is very noisy at dinner time. It seems to be the popular happy hour spot. We stayed at the hotel and also ate lunch which was much quieter. Our server was very friendly but again, service was slow. Lunch menu sandwiches were great and so are the beef sliders.
Spur for breakfast was awful Coffee was delivered cold. Espresso drink was delayed because machine was being cleaned -- when the espresso drink was delivered, it tasted like soap, and was returned. Options on breakfast buffet were limited and low quality.
Spur for dinner is great -- but breakfast is ghastly.
Well, first of all, what the heck happened to the nachos? Huge disappointment.
One poor lonely waitress...was doing her best...but super slow. I mean S L O W.
Would have stayed and ordered more, but it was just ridiculous. Upon arriving I had to go to the bar to get drinks myself. That's how S L O W.

This was our fourth time at Spur - first we tried them out for lunch, then we tried them out for breakfast, then we tried them out for dessert and finally on our last night we had dinner (and one time we also tried them out for hot cocoa to go - with a little something in it) - never disappointed - ever
We dined on a Wednesday upon recommendation from our hotel. This place was okay. There wasn't much to choose from on the menu and prices were high for your options. I had the chicken with sweet potato gnocchi (which was good-not enough gnocchi though) and my husband had the pastrami (just eh). The waiter was eh and they were out of the beer we wanted to try. It's not worth your money to go here.
Had a fantastic experience here. You can tell the staff cares about their food. We ordered the Spur meat & cheese tray and someone (I think the owner) came out to explain their hand-picked selections. Local cheeses, in-house-made sausages, tasteful condiments - very well done. We also split a steak salad and the steak was perfection. Made us wish we'd gotten more of that, too! Desserts were also unique and created to be just a little different but still comfortable and delicious. We'd love to go back!
