Spuntino is an intimate, Italian inspired restaurant nestled into the heart of the historic Potter Highland neighborhood, owned and run by a wife and husband, chef and manager team along their small, dedicated staff. We are obsessed with what we do and dedicate ourselves to sharing our passion for wonderful food, drink, and service with our lovely guests. We are inspired by our travels, our diverse culinary experience, our wonderful purveyors, by the seasons, and by the wonderful guests we have a pleasure to serve. We are a from-scratch kitchen, making everything we are reasonably able to in house, including breads, cheeses, pastas, gelati, a wide range of digestivi and amari, and more. We look forward to your visit!

What Insiders Are Saying
An excellent choice for special occasions, Spuntino is all about great pasta and wine.
We went to Spuntino for a birthday and it was fantastic for a small group of 4. Great service, delicious food, and we agreed we would go back.
Fantastic food, that kind of meal where every bite is an explosion flavor that leaves you wanting more! Highly recommend the ricotta donuts with pistachio mousse for dessert!!
We went for an anniversary and ordered wine and some apps from the happy hour menu, then pasta from the regular menu. All of the food was amazing, and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend, we will be coming back soon!
10/10 wouldn’t change a thing!
Great food. Amazing service. Can’t wait to go back!
Someone snuck in on our bar reservations, but they completely took care of us quickly. Best pasta ever. Fantastic flavors. Just the right amount of service. Bravo!
Our food and cocktails were very tasty - the server was exceedingly knowledgeable about the food ingredients and preparation, and was able to make recommendations and offer information. Very impressed - would return!
Celebrating a Birthday with Chef Austin!!!! Amazing Food as Always & Impeccable Service. Has Become Our Go To for My Birthday & special occasions!!!
Elliot and Matthew were terrific. We tried new wines on their recommendation and have been remarking about them since (will seek them out). We were unfamiliar with them but we trust the recommendation because Elliot chooses them personally. The food was amazing as always.
We love this restaurant. The Italian dishes are very good and you can't go wrong with the house-made pastas. We dine on lots of appetizers and leave a bit of room for a pasta dish. But, the gelato is to die for; try the olive oil flavor. The wine list is varied with many Italian options and it is reasonably priced.
This place is amazing. We've been twice now and had an incredible experience both times. The service is impeccable and the staff is extremely accommodating. The food is out of this world. Hands down best place we've ever eaten. Definitely share everything so you can try more.
From start to finish, we had the best experience. The staff was very attentive, the food fresh local and inventive, and house made amaros were a treat. One of the owners spent time table side to talk to us about them, and they were delicious!
10/10. Best restaurant in Denver
Great pasta, lovely ambience. Perfect date spot. Good wine.
We've been to this wonderful restaurant 40-50 times, and we've never had a less-than-stellar meal. The owners and staff are talented and kind, the service is impeccable, and the food is simply amazing, every time.
Good Happy hour . We tried the Arancini and meatballs. The star of the show was the lamb pasta . One of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever eaten.
Wonderful, quality food! The current Asian inspired menu was different than what we expected - in the most delicious way!
Had dinner with a friend and everybody throughly enjoyed everything. The food is wonderful and the service was excellent. We will definitely return.
Birthday dinner with great food and service, love the awesome combination of ingredients
Had an incredible experience! From the minute we walked in till our bill was paid. Host knew us by name based on our reservation, our server was delightful and guided us through the menu, and even the kitchen staff/expediter played a role in our evening. My Dad loved his quail, my fettuccine with Colorado lamb might have been the best homemade pasta entree I’ve ever had in the states, and don’t leave without trying the Oreo gelato and house-made limoncello!
Food and service were fabulous. Very descriptive detailing ingredients. Had frutti di mare, duck salsiccia, carbonara aroncini, elk tartare (Alec Crudo). Fettucine with lamb, Fettucine Romesco w Andouille, olive oil cake, chocolate truffle and zeppole. Absolutely amazing and incredibly friendly/helpful staff. Best meal in Denver since arriving 10 months ago.
If you are expecting a traditional pasta and red sauce Italian restaurant, this isn't your place. But if you want something different, I highly recommend. Anna took care in explaining the menu and help selecting a great Italian wine within our price range. This restaurant combines ingredients you would never think of into different and unusual appetizers and entrees, but it all works and the results are delicious. Try the duck sausage appetizer and the pasta with homemade meatballs in a mild green chili sauce. You won't be disappointed.
The food was wonderful. The descriptions on the menu did not do justice. Our server, on the other hand, was apathetic and seemingly disgruntled. Everything else about our experience was lovely
Our waiter was amazing, he suggested the best app and mains. Wine was very yummy and the food... just superb! So delicious and unlike anything I’ve had before!
We had a wonderful dinner at spuntino!
Dinner with friends. Perfect.
Spectacular creative food and service. Very impressed. Can’t wait to go back!
First time at this spot and I must say, A PLUS on all levels. The way in which the food was prepared and taste of each plate was unique, perfectly cooked and so very tasty. The waiter was awesome/knew the plates to a T and did not rush us one bit. We are a tight knit Italian family and grew up having lunch (dinner) at our grandparents every Sunday after church. It reminded me/us of way back when and we couldn't be happier that we found YOU. Rock it out and keep up with the fantastic business.
The food was really good but the service was better. We left feeling very welcomed and cared for by Anna. Thanks for a great evening!
We were lucky and scored one of the tables next to the front window - great ambiance and lighting. We started a glass of cab and The Bourbonator paired with the Focaccia and Ricotta. Highly recommended. We then had the two least "Italian Pasta" dishes you could have (Fettucine and Agnolotti del Plin) and both were delicious. We finished with the Zepolle, or Sicilian ricotta doughnuts and a cup of salted caramel chocolate gelato. Would def recommend the Zepolle. Service was awesome, unobtrusive but there when you needed it. Great date night spot!
My first time here, visiting my daughter who has been here several times. Service and food , as well as drinks were wonderful. I’ll definitely come back !
This was my first time in and it was wonderful! I live in the neighborhood and will definitely frequent this restaurant.
Wow the food was incredible with such variety and quality. Truly an Italian experience. I miss small local restaurants like this with incredible food and great service
Great service, great food, wonderful experience!! I would definitely go back on my next visit to Denver. Everything we ate was awesome.
Our favorite place for date night!
This is the best Italian restaurant in Denver, hands down.
The food was so spectacular!! The textures ...the flavors....a smorgasbord for our palettes!!
Always knocks it out of the park with their ever changing menu. Everything was delicious and they were so kind with desserts on my birthday!
The chef seems to have lost focus. The polenta and pork belly had a Mexican spice mix, the fresh pasta noodles were not al dente but under cooked, and everything on the plate was brown. Disappointing after having a lovely meal there only 3 months ago.
I'm very sorry you didn't enjoy the meal this time - we did just change the menu and the chef did lean more heavily on her personal background (Indian, not Mexican) with some of the dishes, including the Pork Cheeks. I imagine you had the Bigoli pasta? We didn't hear a single bit of negative feedback on Thursday (or at all about these dishes yet), so we certainly wish you had spoken up while you were here and could have addressed/replaced dishes you didn't enjoy. Communication goes a long way.
The waiter was a little stoic. He was perfectly competent, but didn't get the warm and fuzzies. Other than that, we love Spuntino's.
