Spuntino is an intimate, Italian inspired restaurant nestled into the heart of the historic Potter Highland neighborhood, owned and run by a wife and husband, chef and manager team along their small, dedicated staff. We are obsessed with what we do and dedicate ourselves to sharing our passion for wonderful food, drink, and service with our lovely guests. We are inspired by our travels, our diverse culinary experience, our wonderful purveyors, by the seasons, and by the wonderful guests we have a pleasure to serve. We are a from-scratch kitchen, making everything we are reasonably able to in house, including breads, cheeses, pastas, gelati, a wide range of digestivi and amari, and more. We look forward to your visit!
Excellent recommendations by our waiter and the opportunity to speak with the chef was a added plus.
Great meal, wonderful service. Can’t wait to go back!
Wonderful food, great waitstaff and overall amazing meal!
Hands down one of our favorite spots in Denver for date night. The food is delicious. We love the fusion of Italian and South Asian flavors and the thoughtfulness of each dish. The drinks are great too. We have had the same server the two times we have been there. I forget to ask his name but he is outstanding, very knowledgeable and personable. Love this spot!
Really amazing experience! One of the owners served us our wine and provided a ton of information about the winery and the vintage. The wine and the food was really on point and the service was exceptional. I would definitely recommend this place for your next date night!
Spuntino has an excellent wine selection and the staff has great suggestions for wines to pair with the food.
Service was attentive without being intrusive.
Great service. Great food. Will absolutely go back sometime soon. My wife and I enjoyed our night out thoroughly
Most amazing pasta dishes I have ever had in my life. Great service as well.
Creative, perfectly done Italian food. As friendly, charming and helpful as a staff can be. Nice ambience, like a NY Italian restaurant except you aren't a half inch from your neighbors. I can load this up with superlatives but I don't need to. This is likely the best Italian restaurant in Denver, and not that expensive.
You can't beat it. The only negative is that parking is awful at 32nd and Clay, so add some time for that. But once you get inside, everything is magnificent.
We love this little neighborhood restaurant. The food is creative and very tasty, wine list is interesting and the staff are always responsive and attentive. We always enjoy our visits here and hope for many more!
Awesome food and an amazing server. I don’t recall his name but he’s got the coolest glasses in town!
Amazing food and service. We had a reservation, but there was a little wait. The host/owner was fantastic. He quickly got us a round of drinks on the house while we waited.
I’ve been coming here off and on for a few years; the food and service is always a step above the rest. The quality of the food is excellent, and reflects the types of dishes you would realistically find in a modern Italian restaurant (no spaghetti and meatballs here!)
The ambiance is excellent, and the servers are always on top of their game which makes for a great experience overall.
I’d recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic modern Italian meal.
Amaaaazing service and food!
Everything we ordered was delicious and the best quality. From the antipasto to salad to pasta to scallops and panna cotta. Prepared and presented beautifully. Great service. We love the intimate setting and friendly atmosphere.
Always a lovely dining experience.
Creative flavor combinations on Italian food. Our server was great; attentive, accommodating and friendly. It's a nice neighborhood restaurant with great atmosphere. We would love to return one day.
The food was outstanding. Appetizer was a generous portion and delicious. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Highly recommended!
Met up with family while in the area. Great food and dining experience. Will definitely be back.
Once again we had a terrific experience. Food, folks, and fun. Everything hit the high mark.
Spuntino is truly the perfect neighborhood restaurant.
This Italian restaurant is outstanding. We try to go as often as we can. The food is fantastic especially the house-made pastas and the olive oil gelato. The wine list is reasonably priced and varied, but almost all Italian. The atmosphere is cozy with an open kitchen.
The place is warm and welcoming in a quiet neighborhood of Denver the food was creative, fresh, and delicious from apps to desserts. The wine selection from Italy was wonderful and thanks to our waiter, we found the perfect bottle for our meal. The menu is seasonal so will change in mid October.
Spuntino never disappoints- amazing in all respects; food, wine and service! Love this special place!
While the ambiance and service were great, the food left something to be desired. After all of the reviews we had read recently, we had high expectation. Unfortunately, we weren't wow'd by the flavors.
The food at this restaurant is excellent, creative and generous portions. Unfortunately the atmosphere so detracts from the overall experience that I would hesitate to recommend it or return. As on a previous visit it was so smoky that our eyes were tearing. The kitchen is right in the middle of the restaurant and the ventilation is inadequate. They have to keep a window open to try and help so there was also a cold draft. It is so noisy we had trouble hearing our waiter or having a conversation at our table.
While I'm glad to hear the kind words about our food, I'm so sorry to hear about your experience otherwise. The comments are quite unusual for us to hear - I imagine you were sitting on our banquette on Saturday? It's been a long time since we've heard the rare complaint about smoke or irritants because of our little open kitchen. Would you be kind enough to reach out directly to give a little more information and see if we can make it up to you? Best, Elliot Strathmann
Italian restaurant with Indian influences. Great food. Small cramped space though, noisy.
Very nice food and wait staff, good presentation.
Be warned: the tiramisu is a "reimagining" of tiramisu with mousse and gelato, with coffee poured on top. It's very good, but if you order expecting classic tiramisu, you're in for a (pleasant) surprise.
Loved this place! Very cute, little restaurant with friendly staff and excellent food. I do wish that the arancini app had maybe one or two more servings, as three wasn’t quite enough, but other than that serving being tiny the rest was perfect. I got the farfalle, and the sauce and egg were excellent. Will definitely be coming back.
What a treat! Our waiter Mathew is outstanding effusive, knowledgable and enjoyable. The menu selections are unique and thoughtful, the wine list is well done not overblown. The food was excellent, every one of us was very pleased with the presentation and the flavors. One of the better dining experiences we have had in quite a while.
Will most definitely return.
First time @ Spuntino for my birthday. Our family of four adults loved it. We each ordered something different and everyone was happy with their meal, including the vegetarian. Our server was wonderful — very knowledgeable and helpful. The kitchen was a little slow on a busy Sunday night, but we didn’t mind the relaxed pace. We’ll definitely return.
great place, great food and drink. We always enjoy the changing menus and advice from the servers and the owners.
We always enjoy Spuntino’s! Great food, nice space and most excellent staff.
Excellent food & service.
The staff was so helpful and lovely
The food was amazing
We had a great time
Found this gem and gave it a go. We really enjoyed the food as well as the service. I’ll go back next trip to Denver !
Delicious, fresh food that was the perfect portion.
Excellent food. Good service but place is super loud.
Hard to have a conversation.
