About Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas

Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas set out with the goal of introducing a wonderful breadth of world-class international wine that is paired with an expansive Italian, small plate menu. Our wine list and food menu are thoughtfully prepared and selected by a team that strives to introduce our guests to new, fresh Italian flavors.

Spuntino focuses on fresh, local and seasonal ingredients with a menu that changes four times a year. To make sure that we are using the best ingredients available we work closely with a number of farms in the area including Alps Provisions (Long Island City, NY), Blooming Hill Farms (Monroe, NY) and Goffle Farm Poultry (Wycoff, NJ).

Wine is Spuntino’s second name! With over 50 wines by the glass, over 150 by the bottle, four wines on tap, and three wine flights offered daily, Spuntino really does have something for everyone.

I came in on Saturday Night, it was fabulous. We requested a booth and it was so comfortable. Once seated our waitress Danielle L (with the pretty nails), was great she pointed out some terrific options for us. She was thoughtful and patient with us. We had the mussels (couldn't stop eating them the sauce was so good), the octopus was perfectly cooked crispy on the outside, the pizza was great for sharing and the shrimp bruschetta (order 1 per person) loved them all. Paul came over and made sure everything was going well, that was nice. We had a great time, we will be back. Great service, amazing food lovely atmosphere.

Save your money, this place is the Applebee’s of tapas. Sent almost all the food back as it was truly disgusting. Never again.

Spuntino has been excellent every time we have gone there. This time we had several appetizers to share including a cheese plate, meatballs, and calamari. All were delicious. I also had the pizza with fig jam and prosciutto. It came with gorgonzola cheese, caramelized onions, and mushrooms. Great combinations of flavors!

food is incredible but can be expensive as the small plates add up quickly.
Highly recommend the ricotta grape bruschetta, the grilled octopus and the mushroom risotto.
The Pizza is fabulous as well.

Loved the restaurant as it was a very energetic and vibrant place. Had a great selection of wines and cocktails. Most of all you get to try lots of tapas style dishes which were really delicious and creative. Would definitely go back.

It was better than expected. When we realized that it was in a strip mall, we were expecting TGIF. But it was better than that. Not amazing food but very good. The ambiance was like TGIF, though. Attire is casual here.

Wonderful experience as usual. Spuntino never disappoints with food or service. Courtney was lovely, very sweet and attentive. Everything we ate was delicious but the cauliflower and the mushroom risotto were exceptional. I love coming here. Keep up the fantastic standards.

THis was our 3rd time coming here and they don't disappoint. The bar was crowded and noisy so the hostess places us in the quiet corner, which I appreciated. We got the mussels, piccante pizza, lamb chops, grilled vegetables in a balsamic glaze, and short rib and pasta, and the doughnuts for dessert. Everything was delicious. The vegetables were cooked perfect and the balsamic glaze was high quality because it was syrupy and sweet instead of liquidy and acidic. The pizza was a little spicy and sweet from the honey. They gave us extra bread to dip after the mussels. Our waitress was very sweet and and attentive. She always made sure we were good and had what we needed. We'll be back of course!

After a Sunday matinee on Broadway with friends, we returned to Long Island to enjoy dinner at Spuntino. With the tapas menu we ordered six different items and enjoyed tasting and sharing all of it. Our friends had only been to Spuntino's once before and enjoyed it more with our suggestion of a variety of menu items. The Spaghetti Carbonara is one of my favorites because it's a rich cream sauce but a portion that doesn't overwhelm me. Sharing a salad is always an option and always fresh and seasonal.

We love Jenn at the bar, she is always smiling and happy to see us! That makes it special for us even when it is crazy busy! The happy hour is loud but everywhere you go for happy hour is load! The cheese plate is perfect, the meatballs are a must!

Spuntino is our favorite Tapas place. have tried many of the small and large plates. My favorite pizza is the fungi pizza. would taste even better if they would had arugula as a topping. The cheese board could be a bit better, the portion size are small and would be nice if they could put it on an actual board for presentation. Otherwise, Spuntino never disappoints. Love this place.

The food as always was quite delicious and tasty. We started with two arugula salads that came with goat cheese, cranberries and pecans. As requested the dressing was served on the side. We then had a delicious broccoli rabe and sausage pizza that we shared with our friends. For main courses we enjoyed a special mushroom risotto, spaghetti carbonara, salmon and a pasta dish. The servings were appropriately sized. Thank you for another delicious meal!

We shared several delectable perfectly prepared tapas: baby lamb chops, brussel sprouts, mussels and beet & watercress cress salad. All were scrumptious. The Campanelle Con Shrimp was disappointing - overcooked pasta and shrimp lacking the same high quality as every other dish from the kitchen. The patrons in the dining room were loud noisy and the room could use some sound absorbing product. While I appreciate the employees checking in periodically to ensure everything was perfect, by the fourth and fifth time it was just annoying. Overall, Spuntino put out delicious plates.. Definitely worth a visit.

Great place to go for some signature drinks, (must try the Pomegranate and fig martini, absolutely delicious!) Went with friends before going to a show at the Nassau Coliseum, sat in the bar area, enjoyed some delicious apps. Definitely try this place, you won't be disappointed.
