About Spuntino Wine Bar and Italian Tapas
Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas set out with the goal of introducing a wonderful breadth of world-class international wine that is paired with an expansive Italian, small plate menu. Our wine list and food menu are thoughtfully prepared and selected by a team that strives to introduce our guests to new, fresh Italian flavors.
Spuntino focuses on fresh, local and seasonal ingredients with a menu that changes four times a year. To make sure that we are using the best ingredients available we work closely with a number of farms in the area including Goffle Farm Poultry (Wyckoff, NJ), Blooming Hill Farms (Monroe, NY), and Alps Provisions (Long Island City, NY).
Wine is Spuntino’s second name! With over 50 wines by the glass, over 150 by the bottle, four wines on tap, and three wine flights offered daily, Spuntino really does have something for everyone.

Spuntino Wine Bar and Italian Tapas Ratings and Reviews
Great service, our waiter was attentive and made good wine suggestions. The noise level was excessive, unless you enjoy shouting loudly at the person next to I would avoid the restaurant. It was not possible to hold a conversation with anyone other than your neighbor
Menu changes seasonal , food is always top notch . I have been to several of their wine dinners and they have been exceptional . We also love to dine here due to the wonderful hospitality of our server Cindy she is highly attentive and always makes you feel like family .
Great place to go with a group so you can try a whole bunch of things. I love vegetables and have found all their veggie dishes to be delicious, especially the brussel sprouts and cauliflower. The bruschetta are amazing as are the meatballs and truffle fries. The main course selections I've tried have been less impressive, but it doesn't matter because there are so many other interesting and delicious things to eat. It can get a bit loud, but not so much that you can't talk.
I was not happy with this restaurant. The food quality mediocre at best, wine selection terrible. Meatballs pasty, octopus outright terrible - tasteless except for celery and cut into thin slices. Looked pretty but useless. Pasta with long braised short ribs like beef stroganoff at high school cafeteria, arancini were mediocre, tiny golf ball sized and seemed to be mass produced.
My wife and I took off for the Summer, not going out to eat.
This was the first time back and Spuntino's has not lost a step.
Wonderful to see the Menu was great, the Wines were fantastic, I had the Sangiovese Flight.
Our party of 7 was very happy for the Assortment of Tapas, nothing heavy but very filling at the same time. As usual just an overall great time.
We had a wonderful experience / every dish was superb, our server Nadia was amazing, our group of 8 was able to engage in conversations. The wine samplings were Delish and the desserts, especially the caramel sauce served with the doughnuts - out of this world!
The food is excellent, but beware that they are very slow here. I've eaten here many times and it's been generally the case. It's lovely not to be rushed if you're not ravenous or are on a date. We had a group of 6 eating between lunch and dinner, so the restaurant was pretty empty. We also had a 4 year old with us. We all struggled to wait the inexplicable 40 minutes between courses. The worst part is that we could see the kitchen staff goofing off and not cooking, even as the manager made his rounds of the restaurant. The waiter recommended we order 2-3 dishes apiece, so we each ordered 3, but we didn't leave full. Ask how big each portion is before ordering to make sure you're getting enough (the pizzas and salads are larger portions, while the proteins and bruschettas are smaller). I highly recommend the Herbed Polenta Fries and the Ciambelle dessert!
I have been here twice. This time, I began my visit in the bar waiting for my dining companion. Excellent wine, wine list and bartender. We had a drink before adjourning to the dining room.
The serving staff was terrific in the dining area, also. We each had a small plate of pasta, and split a side of their divine Brussels sprouts w/Parm, and an order of the steak.
We also grabbed the wine special, a fantastic Sauvignon Blanc.
Overall, another solid experience. Becoming a dependable, go to restaurant for predictable experience.
The ambiance at the restaurant is terrific! We ordered the shrimp scampi bruschetta, the beet salad and the prosciutto and fig pizza. The salad and bruschetta were wonderful!! We even had another order of the shrimp bruschetta. But the pizza had a strong off odor and taste. I tried a bite, even though it didn't smell right, and decided not to eat it. The waitress tried to convince me that it was the carmelized onions that I was smelling but it definitely smelled like bad meat. We sent it back and it was removed from our bill. The calamari was delicious as were the other items we ordered but my friend mentioned that she found a hair in one of hers and that grossed me out! All in all, I don't think I'll be back. The wines were expensive, both by the glass and the bottle. A Vinho verde that I buy often was $9 a glass and over $35 a bottle--thIs wine costs $5.99 in my local liquor store!! I think the value is way off. Our bill was over $120 for the two of us.
