This was our second time dining at SF&F and the value dropped considerably. Total time in the restaurant was 2.5 hours and that wasn't because we eat slow. We were there an hour before the server took our entree orders. He said the kitchen was short staffed and we definitely experienced a very long and slow dinner; along with entree, salad and appetizer mistakes. We received a free birthday dessert for the trouble. One would expect a much better experience for the amount of money they charge. Therefore, SF&F is not currently a good value.

We sat in the enclosed porch area. It had crumpled papers next to the table and a large dead moth on the chair. The water glasses were not the cleanest. Although the waitress was very nice, we waited an hour for our meal. She apologized but we will not return. The food was good.

The food was delicious and the staff was attentive. It was a little bit loud seemingly because of how the restaurant is laid out. Being seated in the higher area of the restaurant lent to being surrounded by the sounds from the kitchen, the hotel lobby area, the other patrons below, and the bar across the hotel lobby. I was also surprised at the smaller portion size of my entree considering the price. The drink and the appetizer were much more reasonably priced.

Nice restaurant in the Boulderado Hotel. The rolls were warm and tender. For an appetizer we shared the crispy Brussels sprouts. The roasted portobello ravioli with beef ragu was simply delicious as was the burger. We left completely satisfied.

Simple salad took 40 mins to arrive. Greens undressed, and presented as if straight from a bag. Appetizer arrived with dinner. Salmon, ordered medium, was burned completely black on the outside and dry as jerky on the inside. Wait staff adequate, but the kitchen?

Food was great - we had the steak sandwich, chicken rosemary sandwich, and the kids both had gluten free burgers with fries. We had a reservation and we stood for 10 minutes while the front-of-house was pretty disorganized and scatty. They seemed understaffed in general, and food took a solid 25 minutes to come out, which felt long. Our server was very good, but she had too many tables, so we did a lot of waiting. The food was really good, and I thought the pricing was pretty good. Overall, I don't think we'd be coming back.

The ambiance is elegantly classic with a touch of nostalgic western flair. The service is exceptional. We had an amazing experience and enjoyed a delicious dinner there last night, topped off by the Nuggets' win over the Lakers in game 3. We were over the moon! Highly recommend!

Excellent Hotel-Restaurant in the heart of Boulder with Menu to Match. The Menu of Seafood or Meat is excellent and superbly prepared. It has been operating for over a century and that alone is pause for reflection.

We each had fish -- swordfish and trout -- and both were excellent. The fish were very tasty and were accompanied by excellent vegetables. Service was prompt and curteous. Would eat here again.

Love the location, but the service could be better. It took a long time for the bread to come out, and we were never offered if we wanted more water. To make a restaurant stand out, it's the little things that make a difference.

The food was good for the most part. The Nicoise salad was ok, but not great. The service was pretty poor, especially for a top-tier restaurant. The trout was awesome. The blackened fish etouffee was good, but not crabby and advertized. The scallops were very good. The bread was very good, still warm. The waiter asked if we wanted more bread, but then never brought it. He neglected to bring a glass of wine that we ordered, until the meal was mostly over when we mentioned it. We didn't see much of him during the meal.

Mother’s Day French toast arrived cold; clearly the egg/toast was premade w/ a swirl of reheated premade ‘vanilla custard’ and strawberry syrup / all just reheated…. Had to send back burned bacon twice since it was inedible.. Their coffee is Always strong and fresh - the best coffee in Boulder!! Now if they could only work more on better and warmer food…don’t they have heating lamps to keep food warm?

We had a reservation at 3 pm Saturday. Restaurant wasn’t crowded. We waited. No one came to serve us for 15 minutes. We finally asked for water. No wait staff came. We told the receptionist and left. We’ve dined there before. It used to be great. Not anymore. We’re done.

Nice comfortable spot for lunch. The food was pretty good. The waitress was super nice but the restaurant set up didn’t make it easy for her. There is only one kitchen for this place, the hotel and the other hotel bar/restaurant. Drinks were slow and beer was flat, food took forever and came out at different times. The waitress was very apologetic but ultimately it does mean we may not go back.

I was expecting a much better experience and quality of food since this restaurant is located in The Boulderado. However, I think the main issue was that it was a very busy graduation weekend and they clearly did not have enough staff. I would also assume that every weekend is busy though at this restaurant. Unfortunately this seems to be typical a lot of restaurants these days but was hoping this would not have been the case at this restaurant.

The bartender didn’t know what my husband ordered. Waiter was slow in coming over to take our order.

Our meals were magnificent. I highly recommend the Swordfish. And the service was of a level I'm used to from eating in respected restaurants in NYC. Very prompt, helpful, friendly and most importantly, professional. I highly the Spruce.
