Another great experience at an iconic Boulder location.
Great food and service. I would just ask for more vegetarian options on the menu. This is Boulder, after all....
We met up with relatives from Denver and had a fabulous time. It felt so good being together after more than a year in hibernation.
Excellent service. Very accomodating and pleasant experience! Food was solid with a very nice selection.
Very nice would recommend to friends. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
It was early in the evening so the sound was next to nothing, pricey for a college student, but the food was really good!
Trout, cod, and Lobster Mac/Cheese are delicious! Side Caesar and mixed/green salads go well with them too.
Excellent menu with local options. Historic venue, excellent service. Top quality meal at a very reasonable price.
Arrived at 9:00 am put in order got coffee Az waitress did not being the cream for another 10 minutes.. Forty minutes later no contact with wait Perdon & no food. We finally located waitress told her we were tired of waiting for food. She said”Oh it shouldn’t be too much longer.. we left $$ for coffee & left.
The baked cod was the best I’ve ever had! And the truffle fries are to die for!! Nice wine selection. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because we wanted to sit in the adjacent covered patio area but they said it would be too tight for 5......it wouldn’t have been
The service was excellent and the food was absolutely superb. Every dish was expertly prepared. Especially loved the scallops!
Great service, she was super friendly and attentive. Poke was really good, order it!
My first visit will definitely not be my last! The ambience was amazing, the food incredible! I have the sneaking suspicion I’m going to want to try everything on the menu. Our service was very good, just not as attentive as it might have been, pre-Covid. We are all stretched: to be clear, I have no complaints about my service!
Thank you for a wonderful evening, enjoyed by my entire party!
Friends flew in from out of town, Covid restrictions on indoor dining were lifting, and I wanted my friends to experience a reasonably priced elegant meal in a classy setting. We were seated immediately with a window view, our server was friendly and attentive, and the meal came quickly. My scallops were seared and flavored to perfection, and my friends loved their steak. The keylime pie was fabulous. After the meal we exited through the lobby of the Boulderado to soak up the old elegance and headed a block over to enjoy the mall. We decided to return to the same table when they visit again next year.
One of the most relaxing dining out experience we've had in years, food was superb (the key lime pie knocked our previously-rated #2 key lime pie into 3rd place), and our waiter was attentive, efficient, and pleasant. We definitely would eat there again. I've already recommended Spruce Farm & Fish to a friend who will be visiting Boulder in the near future.
Decided to book this place on a whim. It was good! The calamari was probably our favorite! We went for lunch so ordered off the lunch menu. We had the rosemary chicken sandwich with fries which were ok & the mustard covered salmon salad which I really enjoyed. The service was ok. I don’t know if the host knew a lot of what she was doing because we had to wait a few minutes for her to assist the people who arrived before us. They also ran out of menus to give out tables. We used our phones so we’re ok with it. Overall this place was good. The best part was the hotel it was connected too. Very beautiful place.
Always a great place to have brunch in Boulder with wonderful service and food.
I had a reservation in my name. When I arrived I told the waiter I had a reservation; he told me to just sit anywhere without asking my name. I also told him I was waiting for two more people. I waited at least 10 minutes for the rest of my party to arrive. Meanwhile the rest of my party was sitting on the other side of the restaurant waiting for me to arrive. They told the host or hostess that their reservation was in my name. The same waiter was serving both tables, but didn't make the connection that I was waiting for two people and that those same two people were waiting for one person (me). Finally one of the people waiting for me walked around the restaurant and found me. The rest of the experience was great, but I am still scratching my head over the waiter's inability to put us together.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent! We started with the calamari which was tender and crispy. My husband and I had the sea scallops and my son had the steak and fries - we were all pleased with our choices. We had a delightful evening out!
Delicious food and great service! Can't wait to come again!
I was really disappointed. I was greeted by a waiter with a dismissive "choose any clean table and sit down". I had to go to another waiter to make sure my OT reservation was noted to avoid being seen as no-show. Serving was slow to get a drink, slow to take order, not sure if oysters were available (and took a long time to confirm) and kitchen was very slow for a super simple meal. One waiter carried the burden of the rest of the show by apologizing and attempting to be cheerful. Not at all a good experience.
First dinner out in 14 months. We were so happy with our choice of place and entrees!!! Will return !!!
Went for a mother’s day dinner. They were pretty wiped out shellfish wise which made me sad. I understand it my mom felt they should have planned better. That said I don’t live in Boulder and won’t go out of my way to eat here again
Food was cold .
despite having made reservations two weeks in advance they did not have a table for us and sat myself and my 8 year old at the bar. the hostess said she would move us once a table opened us but she never even checked back in with us. I saw several tables open up but we were left in the bar. that being said the bartender that was serving us was great and the food was good.
Great dining space-lots of history in this dining room. Food and service are really good. A little pricey.
Fantastic, food, service, and ambiance. Great Mother's Day Brunch!!
While the service was good, the food was average. Trout was just ok and asparagus was tough.
Great food and service
Our waiter was great however there was a shortage of staff making things take longer than usual.
Delicious food and outstanding service. Menu has wide variety and everything we've tried at Spruce is excellent.
Nice feel to the place. Plenty of room between the tables -really good social distancing. Service was excellent. Hamburger was amazing, as was the Scallop Corn Nage dish.
Super great service, great food and a real nice ambiance. Historic old hotel and our server was on it.
Average. Price accordingly, so no complains.
Cool historic hotel.
The meal was just okay. Not worth the monwy
So wonderful! Food was delicious!
The food is always amazing at Spruce. The servers are super busy but patient & efficient & friendly. Sometimes (like this morning at 7:45 a.m.) there are LOUD guests who obviously think the entire hotel/restaurant needs to hear their fascinating conversation. But I have earbuds & youtube music for that.
I stayed at the Boulderado for a working mini vacation Sunday-this morning. Had an amazing dinner Sunday evening (salmon & veggies) with chocolate torte for dessert (unreal deliciousness). Breakfast Monday was English muffin, bowl (big!) of berries and cafe au lait. So good. I skipped lunch and did a stroll down Pearl Street (got falafel for early dinner). Then breakfast this morning of Waffles Foster. SO delicious.
My husband & I are not wealthy. We've gone up & down financially in our 35 years together. But when we Can afford it, Spruce is THE place to go in Boulder, CO
We had an excellent double birthday celebration at Spruce Farm and Fish. I asked for a quiet table, and they gave us what had to be their nicest table. The food was very good. Portions were generous. Loved the ambiance. It was an all-around great experience. We will definitely return.
Celebrating my friends birthday. Service, food and ambience were excellent.
