My family and I had never been to this restaurant and we had a great time the servers were very nice and the food was delicious
We went to Springs Orleans for mother's day. The food was great like always but the service was really disappointing. The waitress didn't care about our table at all. We didn't get any chips like every other table got, no refills, she didn't check on us at all i... The waitress was too busy talking with a table of ten people that we just saw her to get our order and for the payment. I don't think we will be back for special occasions.
Great, we have heard a lot about the food and decided to try it out! I’ll come back!
We visited for the Mother’s Day brunch. The food was pretty good but the variety wasn’t plentiful and the menu wasn’t accurate for what was being offered. We were sad to not see the shrimp and grits, beignets, or any crab dishes. Not a bad deal considering but had higher expectations
Food was pretty meh and it was super loud. Service was basic.
Springs Orleans was great! My girlfriend and I went there before prom and our food was delicious and served quickly! Our waiter was really friendly and we would definitely come back again. Thank you for making our night special.
I came for a birthday lunch with my sister- was excited as the reviews are good and stars aplenty! Plus, I love food with bold flavors. Ordered the brie beignets (tasty w plenty of cheese), rice and beans w lobster; sis ordered fettuccine w shrimp. The dishes and flavors fell short of expectation- the rice and beans entree is just a big platter in kind w little flavor and the lobster was dry. Sister's fettuccine was very heavy, further augmented with the fried shrimp smothered in a heavy sauce.
I would recommend for anyone who enjoys bold, balanced flavor- skip the entrees. The beignets were tasty and the cocktail on point (ordered a cherry bourbon)- would stroll through for a drink.
Constantly good food and great service.
I went here for Sunday brunch with my parents who were in town visitng for the week. The food was amazing and the live piano music was beautiful, we could not have had a better experience. We will definitely be back!
Went with friends for brunch. The food was outstanding as was the wait staff. We went with the bottomless mimosa option and never once had to wait for a refill. Also very nice was we like a little less OJ in our mimosas and they were pleased to accommodate by bringing the juice on the side so we could mix our own. simply an awesome experience and will be back regularly.
This was my first and only visit to this restaurant, between any lunch and dinner rush on a Wednesday. The atmosphere was very nice, as was the service.
I felt the food was bland *for Cajun/Creole*. There were two of us. Neither of us were "Wow"ed
Gumbo - 0/2 votes
Étouffée - 1/2 votes
Gator Bites - 1/2 votes
Brie Beignets - 2/2 votes
The gumbo especially had less flavor than I expected, it was just okay. My date also thought is was not very good.
The étouffée is certainly worth a try if you want to check this place out. I had never tried it before and really liked it, but my date has had it elsewhere and said it was not that good. We both agreed it was better than the gumbo.
The gator bites / gator tail appetizer was also.. meh. It tasted like the meat was cubed, battered, and frozen prior to being fried and the seasoning really missed the mark. However, my date had never tried gator and enjoyed it. I think Pappadeaux has WAY better gator.
We both thought the beignets were good. Neither of us had ever tried one before, so no idea if they are actually good when you have something to compare against. It does contain a good amount of cheese...
Understand.. I'm not saying it was bland in general, just bland for cajun. It DOES have flavor, I simply thought the flavor was underwhelming vs what I was expecting. You may like it if you've never tried one of these before. It you've had cajun before and liked it, maybe pass on this place. Or settle for an okay experience.
Good place to hit up for breakfast or brunch. I only wish they had more vegetarian options on their brunch.
I thought the food was pretty good, but it was a chilly day and the restaurant was cold inside to the point that I had to go next door to our hotel and get my daughter's coat. Service was very good.
Springs Orleans is a family favorite. Easter Brunch is an annual event, having attended the past several years. The menu offerings varied and consistently well prepared and delicious.
The staff always professional, engaging and accommodating. Springs Orleans is a Colorado Springs treasure.
Easter Sunday brunch. The food was amazing. However, we had a reservation for 1:15 and was told less than an hour later that the brunch buffet was going to close in 15 minutes and we had to hurry if we wanted any more food. So rushed through eating, servers were slow and did not keep the table clear fast enough so we could get the food we wanted and have a place to put it. Mimosas needed more juice and less champagne...not a good mix. Waited an ungodly amount of time for our check and then for our server to return to pick it up for processing...she was very nice, but painfully slow. I never did get her name.
I would recommend you plan better for final seating to clearing the food. I almost reserved for 1:30...had I done that, we would have been rushed even more and not have been able to enjoy the food which was really good. I would have liked the time to savor it.
We arrived at 5p while happy hour was still available and while the drink special was fun (they grandfather you in for your entire meal) the food portions were quite reflective of the happy hour. We ordered the crab cake that while delicious, was short stacked, at least 1/2 the size of not smaller than pictured.
The shrimp and grits were divine, as was the lobster tortolle. Definitely coming back again
Very good! The New Orleans theme was spot on - dishes were just what you'd expect. I ordered the blackened catfish - in buttery heaven sauce and on a bed of bacon rice. So good! The pre dinner raw oysters were fresh and HUGE~! My dad ordered the red beans and rice with chicken and corn cake (?), he LOVED IT! Very good!
Food was delicious and service was outstanding!
Excellent food, service, ambience as always. The prime rib was delicious as was the gumbo, shrimp and grits, and jambalaya. Could have used more chocolate desserts.
Went there for a 33rd birthday for my twin girls, this special occasion was never mentioned or acknowledged. The Sunday Brunch was average, the eggs were not cooked and almost like water in the server. The French toast was hard and seemed like it was bulk cooked in the early am. The server that cut the turkey was young and it was very thin pieces, seemed too afraid to cut off a piece that would not let the light shine through it.... very very very thin. The Prime rib was the same way. I did not expect a thick piece of meat but would have appreciated a cut you could enjoy. I wont waste my time going here again. Our waiter was very good the only positive in the whole experience. The manager did not come to the table to see how things were going but the musician did trying to drum up tips..... I thought he was the manger until he went and sat down with the piano player, no wonder he didn't listen to my concerns.
Sunday brunch for Wife's birthday. reserved table for seven and ended up with eight. Staff was quickly accommodating and brunch choice with mimosas made ordering easy. All options on the brunch buffet was fresh and tasty. Meat was well carved with moderate (vs oversized) portion. Piano and guitar music was a little loud for conversation across the table, but we were at the closest seating. Overall great experience and would repeat.
Awesome food as always!
Good food. Bbq shrimp was best I have had since Hattiesburg, MS. Will be coming back.
Perfect birthday dinner for the wife. Nice being able to stay at the hotel next door and retiree to our room after getting our fill.
I had a party of 22, we were seated up stairs away from the view of the springs orleans vibe, I didn’t like it.. we didn’t get served until an hour after seated, constantly looking for the waiter.. However the food is good, the service was bad ! Thanks but no thanks
Very UPSET!!😡 first when we got there they couldn't even find our reservation, luckily I screenshot the Open Table reservation and that was sufficient ... no one saID.. happy birthday no one brought the birthday cake that I requested for my mother-in-law.... very very very disappointing... dinner for six including appetizers close to $300 not worth it at all gumbo was Bland noodles on the lobster tortello very dry... this used to be a frequent stop for my wife and I don't think we'll ever go back ....I would say spend the extra gas money and go to Pappadeaux's in Denver
First time visiting this restaurant and we were very satisfied with the service, food quality and overall experience. Definitely worth another visit.
Food & enviorment were fantastic. It was a more upscale place than expect and that was enjoyable. I also ordered everything I wanted and didn't break the bank. Wine and coffee selection are on point too.
I couldn't be happier about my delicious meal (and my dining partners raved about their food, as well), the quick and friendly service, the ambiance, and the price! We were hosting a dignitary from the United Nations, and she was pleased as well. Kudos to Springs Orleans!
The Etouffee was incredible. You only need to serve Community Coffee to complete the Louisiana experience.
Everything was delish!!!! Brie beignets are a must!!!
We have been here twice and will be back again. The food is tasty and served in the right quantity. Our waiter was a bit clumsy, but fine otherwise. They also have some decent wine that is not overly priced.
Our first (but not our last) visit! The food is very authentic.
It was a nice environment. I really liked the atmosphere. Great music and ambience. Food was underwhelming based on reviews and word of mouth. Another downfall was we were seated near the bathroom. Just seemed like an out of the way place.
One of our favorite places for dinner and where I get the best Sazerac in Colorado Springs. She had the Shrimp and Grits which was very tasty and attractively presented and is one of the gluten free options. I had the Chicken and Andouille Gumbo which had the perfect amount of spicy flavor.
The atmosphere here was really great. The steak was a little overcooked the first time and the waiter immediately took it back and was very gracious, even giving us a little off of our check and some beignets in apology. After the steak was redone, the food was absolutely amazing. Overall amazing experience and will definitely be going back.
What a wonderful location. The food was amazing, the music was superb, and the overall feel was a perfect date.
Good place but not great. When you make a reservation a couple of weeks in advance and get seated upstairs while there are plenty of tables available downstairs. At the time of reservation it was very hard to get a reservation, however the restaurant was 60% full at the prime dinner time so not quite sure if they do that in case of hotel guests decide to eat there. Bottom line - if I ever eat there again I will not worry about making reservations....just show up and if it happens to be full there are other options in town that are as good and better.
Great for a Valentine’s day date!
