Very UPSET!!😡 first when we got there they couldn't even find our reservation, luckily I screenshot the Open Table reservation and that was sufficient ... no one saID.. happy birthday no one brought the birthday cake that I requested for my mother-in-law.... very very very disappointing... dinner for six including appetizers close to $300 not worth it at all gumbo was Bland noodles on the lobster tortello very dry... this used to be a frequent stop for my wife and I don't think we'll ever go back ....I would say spend the extra gas money and go to Pappadeaux's in Denver
First time visiting this restaurant and we were very satisfied with the service, food quality and overall experience. Definitely worth another visit.
Food & enviorment were fantastic. It was a more upscale place than expect and that was enjoyable. I also ordered everything I wanted and didn't break the bank. Wine and coffee selection are on point too.
I couldn't be happier about my delicious meal (and my dining partners raved about their food, as well), the quick and friendly service, the ambiance, and the price! We were hosting a dignitary from the United Nations, and she was pleased as well. Kudos to Springs Orleans!
The Etouffee was incredible. You only need to serve Community Coffee to complete the Louisiana experience.
Everything was delish!!!! Brie beignets are a must!!!
We have been here twice and will be back again. The food is tasty and served in the right quantity. Our waiter was a bit clumsy, but fine otherwise. They also have some decent wine that is not overly priced.
Our first (but not our last) visit! The food is very authentic.
It was a nice environment. I really liked the atmosphere. Great music and ambience. Food was underwhelming based on reviews and word of mouth. Another downfall was we were seated near the bathroom. Just seemed like an out of the way place.
One of our favorite places for dinner and where I get the best Sazerac in Colorado Springs. She had the Shrimp and Grits which was very tasty and attractively presented and is one of the gluten free options. I had the Chicken and Andouille Gumbo which had the perfect amount of spicy flavor.
The atmosphere here was really great. The steak was a little overcooked the first time and the waiter immediately took it back and was very gracious, even giving us a little off of our check and some beignets in apology. After the steak was redone, the food was absolutely amazing. Overall amazing experience and will definitely be going back.
What a wonderful location. The food was amazing, the music was superb, and the overall feel was a perfect date.
Good place but not great. When you make a reservation a couple of weeks in advance and get seated upstairs while there are plenty of tables available downstairs. At the time of reservation it was very hard to get a reservation, however the restaurant was 60% full at the prime dinner time so not quite sure if they do that in case of hotel guests decide to eat there. Bottom line - if I ever eat there again I will not worry about making reservations....just show up and if it happens to be full there are other options in town that are as good and better.
Great for a Valentine’s day date!
We booked here to try something new for valentines day. The atmosphere and decor were classy without being over-the-top. Very comfortable with a fantastic live piano player. Two minor comments are that we were seated in a very dark area - could have used a bit more lighting to ready black special event menu. Secondly the shrimp and grits were divine but not really hot enough. After 5 minutes on the table it was tepid at best. Heat the plate to keep foot warm longer. ?? Overall we would totally return for happy hour (2 for 1 cocktails) and a special meal again!! Ps: the staff were all delightful and very professional.
Wife and I celebrated Valentine's Day With a Cajun Meal at Springs Orleans. It did not disappoint!
The Decor was very pleasing and the service was attentive but a little slow. The Parking Meters out front only allow 1 hour parking. We didn't make it but did escape the the long arm of the law.
My Bride of over 50 years is a true Southerner from the Gulf Coast. She was very happy with her Barbecued Shrimp, true New Orleans style with a spiced Butter Sauce. Her Bread Pudding was good but did have some burnt crust.
My Chicken and Andoule Gumbo was very tasty, nicely spiced but short on Andoule. My Shrimp and Grits were Excellent. Overall, Two thumbs up!
We came for Marci Gras and had a good time! Food was good and our waiter was very attentive
This is our 2nd year during Mardi Gras, the place was beautifully decorated!
Also love coming with friends and on special occasions, specially birthdays and anniversaries!
Nice casual lunch. Server was excellent. Prices a bit high for lunch though. Nice ambiance and location.
The food was superb! Go for the food and the ambience if nothing else. The wine and drinks menu is specifically selected so if you want something special with your food and you don't know what to have, ask for the chef's recommendations. We couldn't tell if the staff was shorthanded or not with only 5 tables and a party seated at the time but we barely saw our waiter. And when we did, he seemed to be in a hurry every time. This critique is to help and not hinder in anyway. Go and visit Springs Orleans and have a nice quiet night or a beautiful music and food filled evening.
As always, dinner at Springs Orleans was fantastic. The service is wonderful, the Mardi Gras atmosphere is fun, and the New Orleans inspired food is great. Fried Oysters, Gumbo, and Bread Pudding are hard to beat, especially when sipping on a Sazerac. I highly recommend it night at Springs Orleans!
Great Happy Hour prices on apps and drinks. You do have to sit at the bar to get the Happy Hour prices on the appetizers but it’s well worth it ! 2 for 1 mixed drinks, martinis and apps from 3pm - 6pm
Wait staff , hostess, bartender and cook were all super friendly!
We arrived at around 5:15pm and it was not super busy so it was pretty quiet aside from the music. We were sat next to the speakers at the bar, but the overall restaurant noise was low.
I have ordered off the menu once, a while back, so I’d have to try again but the appetizers were delicious!!!! Calamari, hummus and pita, and truffle fries are a must. The beans and rice have a sweet taste which I didn’t care for and we tried the blackened popcorn chicken which were dark meat (thighs) they were a bit too chewy almost rubbery I personally wouldn’t get them again.
Overall experience was good and will definitely keep it in our girls night Happy Hour rotation!
Always great food and service! Looking forward to our next meal at Springs Orleans.
We had a team get together at the Springs Orleans and had a great experience. We had a group of 7 and the server was so great at handling all of the different requests. Our group has talked about going back as a team again because of that experience. Also, the 2 for 1 cocktail happy hour can't be beat!
Wine was too expensive..food was good..well seasoned!
Dinner was especially good, as was the service by Courtney.
First, they were cleaning carpets at 1:00 pm on a Friday during lunch rush. So besides the smell of that and the noise, it was an uncomfortable anniversary celebration for me. I did appreciate that they seated us early (reservation was a 1:00, but I called and asked if we could come early) but there was only one server for about 10 tables so he was rushed and didn't pay us much attention. My plate, the blackened chicken, was beautiful when it came out. Our good was luke warm when it came to the table. My final thoughts, for the price it is not worth it. $60 for that? It was good but not enough to bring me back. I would recommend to a friend, specially someone who enjoys Cajun food. But for me, it wasn't impressive enough for the price. Just wasn't the best dining experience I've ever had. I fee just meh.
Highly recommended, great place for a date, awesome food!
Fantastic food! Definitely glad we chose this restaurant for our New Year's Eve dinner. Will definitely be going back.
Expected a great deal more out of a restaurant associated with The Mining Exchange. First, wasn't even out of my overcoat or had the chance to sit down at table before server came over and asked if we wanted something to drink/had a chance to look at drink menu. Too fast for me. Had to ASK server if there were any specials==mind you , we were there at 6:15 pm long before the NYE rush was due. Upon ordering crab cake, size small--it flaked incredibly bad, I'm guessing due to very little moisture in it--NO I don't want to eat breading, but don't think I need to sweep it up onto my fork--and it was COLD in the center. Mentioned it to server and was acknowledged--not a big deal--stuff happens. Ordered the catfish---served on a bed of LUKEWARM rice and lucky I asked for tartar sauce otherwise the fish would of had absolutely NO FLAVOR. Keep in mind, lots of open tables so NOT overly busy here. Okay, onto the photo opportunity to capture this SPECIAL night--that didn't work either. It takes more to create a photo than just hold the iphone up and SNAP the photo--apparently our person wasn't aware of that. At this point , we wanted to leave and yes, my partner's pasta under the gorgonzola sauce was LUKEWARM also. In a nutshell, seated at 6:15 pm and home by 7:30 pm--tells you how thrilled we were about entire process. Apparently they don't read their reviews on Facebook because pretty much, this passage, was written on their page. NOT GOING BACK
We went to pre-symphony dinner on New Year's Eve. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Host/Server/Table attendant were all very friendly and efficient. The food was outstanding. The entire restaurant was incredibly loud. We were anticipating an easy-paced dining experience but instead felt rushed, hurried and hustled out. It was too bad we didn't feel like we could relax, enjoy conversation and dine without being kicked out within 45 minutes of sitting down.
We have brunch about once a month. Always enjoy our date here.
The servers, chefs, hostess, everyone make us feel welcome and comfortable.
The food value is good, selection great, and don't forget to ask for the beignets !
The lobster trottole tasted fishy. They ruined a perfectly good lobster. The gator bites were also more tough than usual. However, they do have good dinner rolls and seafood chowder. I probably wouldn’t return.
Food was over priced for what you get. Went before a show and was disappointed. Have been here for the brunch buffet on Sunday and it was much better. Service was also really slow considering they were not busy.
We had Christmas Eve dinner at Springs Orleans and it was fantastic! We're from the South, so Cajun food is one of our favorites, and this restaurant was very good considering that it's in Colorado. I'd definitely go there again!
Everything was great except there was a draft coming from the renovations in the next room.
For New Orleans style food it had NO flavor menu prices good buffet WAY to expensive
I made a reservation through open table weeks ago and when we got there they had no record of the reservation . Since we were early they were able to accommodate us. We were a party of nine and requested separate checks. The waitress was quite reluctant but then agreed. Other than those two issues we all had great meals.
Excellent menu. All of our choices for a group of 4 people were delicious!
This is always my go to place when downtown or before a movie.
