I am certain this restaurant was wonderful back in the day but everything was ordered was underseasoned and just bland.

MY WIFE AND I REALLY ENJOYED THE SPRINGHOUSE TAVERN. THE COCKTAILS,SOUP AND THE CRAB ENTREES WERE EXCELLENT, THE SEATING AND THE SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD, WE HOPE TO DINE AT THESPRINGHOUSE TAVERN AGAIN.

Nice Fathers’ Day dinner. We had the Crab cakes and the rack of lamb and both were delicious. Our server was great, everything was served quickly and efficiently. We will definitely be back.

I had the lump crab me on top of salmon with mashed potatoes, and the salmon was bland. There was little to none lump crab meat on top of the salmon, more hollandaise sauce than the crab meat. I also had the New England clam chowder soup and it tasted more like a chicken vegetable soup with just some pieces of clam. The food was not as expected, and overall the ambience of the restaurant was pleasurable. My server was very tentative and friendly.

We went for Father’s Day not realizing it was only a buffet. Way overpriced for what it was and coffee was not included which was odd. The food was OK.

Basically the Waiter totally forgot to come back and take her entrée orders. When he did get back, he asked us what we wanted for dessert and at that point he put in our entrée orders. It made excuses, saying that he thought that we only wanted appetizers, which we never indicated that. I will not be returning back to the place ever again.

I ordered the snapper soup, which I usually only order at William Penn Inn. The version at Springhouse Inn tasted more like vegetable soup and was nowhere near the quality of William Penn's. I also had the prime rib, ordered medium since it was Prime Rib Night. The portion size was decent, but unfortunately, it was fatty and cooked unevenly. It was not worth the price and I was pretty surprised by the poor quality. The menu had changed, and the only noticeable difference was the higher prices. I must be in the minority, as many people were arriving as we were leaving. I won’t even begin to describe my guest's crab cake.

The food, service and ambiance were excellent, in particular the split pea with ham soup was superb - We hope you serve this soup again.

Good food (fried shrimp - huge, crab cakes); service was very pleasant but slow )we were there to talk and enjoy a meal, so it didn’t matter.)
