Bar seating very nice
Booked same day on Mother’s Day. Prime rib and crab cakes were very good and Mom approved 😀
The meal was cooked to perfection and the service was fabulous
Friendly wait staff. Nicely spaced out/social distancing. Would go back.
We went to the tavern for Mother’s Day with a group of six. With the way staffing has been with Covid we anticipated it being slow, and Mother’s Day is usually slow to begin with. Our server was still attentive and kept our beverages filled, and it did take a long time to get our food but when it came it was hot and delicious and a good value. I would definitely go back there again
Had a great dinner celebrating Mother's day dinner, the night before, with my 89 yr young mom.
Never been here before. Experience was perfect. Good food, good service, good ambiance, good value. Would definitely recommend and would go there again.
Mothers Day Dinner with husband
Really enjoyed our meal. We started with the Crab and Guac appetizer which was delicious. My wife had the duck and I had the Mahi-mahi and both of us loved our meal. Our server did an excellent job especially dealing with a very crowded restaurant.
The food, service & drinks were all terrific, as usual. Just a tip here. Ask to not be seated in the Ebbet or Emmet room ( didn't catch the full name). No ambiance, and if you're seated next to the servers station, you get to hear all the clanging of dishes as they get placed into the bussing containers. That would be my only complaint. As I said at the onset, everything else was really good as per the norm here.
We have never been disappointed with this restaurant. They have the best crab cakes!
The water was so disgusting we couldn't drink it and my pie looked like it fell on the floor.
Great food, great service, older clientele. Nice night>
It was great! Food and service were wonderful! Outside patio is really pretty and inside is safe and great!
Ruff start getting our order in. Had better prime rib too much fat. The crab cakes tasted like feet and the fries were cold. Ice tea had a moldy taste and didn’t drink it. Idk if it’s a C-19 problem because in years past it was good there.
We waited at least 15-20 minutes to get menus and order drinks. The server was clearly dealing with too many tables, so I'm not blaming her. We arrived at 7:13, and were seated (outside) by 7:15 (our reservation time); however the hostess never checked us in, so I received a phone call at 7:30 from the restaurant (while I was AT the restaurant) asking if we had arrived.
It took a very, very long time to receive our drinks (about 1/2 hour) and it took so long for our food after we ordered our meals that we actually got up and left and asked them to box up our meals to take home, as my elderly mother was with us and she simply couldn't keep sitting outside in the cold (the outside heaters were completely useless...too high above the seating area and not aimed correctly. They provided no heat at all). We gave up and left the restaurant at 8:40 p.m. almost 90 minutes after we arrived because the service was so bad. We sat in the car with the heat on for about 15 additional minutes while they boxed up our food to take home. By the time we received the food it was almost 9:00 p.m.
Again, I don't blame the server. I feel the management did not adequately staff the restaurant for what they needed. Since everyone must make a reservation, you'd think they would know ahead of time how much staffing they would need.
1. My daughter went to the restroom and there was no toilet paper or paper towels. She overheard 2 women in the restroom say they had told the server about the lack of toilet paper over an hour earlier and no one had re-stocked.
2. Coffee was cold. We had to order it 3 times to get a hot cup of coffee for my mother.
Very disappointing experience.
We sat outside. It was very nice but they really need heaters or fire pits or something that will add a little heat. Dress warmer than you normally would for outside seating.
Our waitress, Kimberly, was great! Very pleasant and attentive, with great food and drink suggestions!
Always great food and drinks. Never have to worry about getting a typical ‘chain restaurant’ drink which is overpriced and weak. They change up the drink menu as well so there’s always something appealing. Both my bf and I had the specials- he, the veggie burger and, me, the salad with blackened chicken (recommended by our server- phenomenal!) both were nicely prepared and delicious. Manager stopped by out table which is always nice and rarely done anymore. Can’t wait to go back !
Food and service is outstanding!
Some changes with menus since COVID, maybe they’re still working their way back but, the food is still very good, as is the service.
Great ribs! Fast and friendly. Their Covid protocols are fine.
It was a beautiful day to sit on the patio. This was our first visit to a restaurant in 13 months. Great service and the food was delicious. My filet was cooked perfectly. My husband had seafood platter and said it was delicious. Not fishy tasting. We will definitely go back.
Had a reservation for an Easter Sunday dinner. Warmly greeted by a charming host and seated on time at a lovely table in the windowed dining room. Our server was very hospitable, too, and assisted us in choosing our entrees. We ordered Rack of Lamb and Prime Rib. Both plates were beautifully presented with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The Lamb and Prime Rib was cooked to perfection (med rare) and were EXCELLENT. Honestly, one of the most satisfying meals I can recall...and I have been to Peter Lugar, Keens and every top steak house in NYC and Philly. Kudos to the chef and dining room management.
Dined out for Easter. Our server Kimberly was fantastic. Food was good, prime rib a bit fatty, but otherwise tasty.
Our Favorite Restaurant we go to.
Great Consistent , Food, Service and Drinks.
The staff makes us feel at home.
This is where we go, when I need a night off from cooking.
Oysters were very disappointing. Mostly breading. Few Oysters. Baked Potato needed to be cooked longer.
Efficient friendly staff. Food was very good. Our server Catherine was excellent.
Every other Saturday, I go out to dinner with two girlfriends who are part of my "bubble". This was the first time our travels took us to The Spring House Tavern and we will be back! The service and food were outstanding, although being gluten-sensitive I was disappointed that there were several menu items I would have liked but which flour to thicken the sauces and soups. I had the filet and it was perfectly cooked and quite delicious.
Excellent food and wonderful service.
Service people are always so accommodating.
Had the crab imperial which I'd give a 10 out of 10. My companion had the seafood combination and that was excellent. Service was top notch and the cocktails were great too. Ambience was very comfortable and sound level was low. First time there, but we will be back,
We were seated right away and greeted by our server. My wife had the duck and I had the mahi-mahi. We bothe enjoyed our meals and cocktails. Our server was very attentive but we were not rushed. Look forward to dining there again!
Enjoyable experience. We were seated right away, everything was clean, all the workers were wearing double masks. Service was outstanding! We were waited on right away, checked on frequently and visited by the manager. 10 stars for service!!! Food was good. Our table had the crab cakes, salmon and mahi mahi. All tasted ok. Not amazing, not bad. Reasonably priced, plenty of parking. Will likely return. The outdoor patio looked fun
As usual, we had a very pleasant evening celebrating our friend’s birthday at the tavern.
The restaurant is cozy with good food and selection and excellent waitstaff. It is clean and easily accessed.
We dine here every few weeks. Service is wonderful, staff worksvery hard, we really appreciate it. Food and drinks are consistent and delicious. Don’t pass up the onion soup or shrimp cocktail. Thanks to the team at Spring House for making our dining experience safe and enjoyable.
Our first time back in a year due to pandemic - everything was awesome as usual.
We frequent this restaurant semi-regularly and have never had a bad meal or service. On this night, 2 of us decided to have one of the specials, a blackened red snapper w/asparagus and choice of potato. I was able to sub the potato for cole slaw with no problem! It was De-Lishious and perfectly prepared.. Our waitress didn’t miss a beat for service and accommodating any of our requests. My husband had crab imperial much to his delight. It was perfect-not too dry, not too mushy and no crab shells to be found. Overall, the entire evening hit all the marks for a great evening of dining and socializing with a good friend in a wonderfully, consistent restaurant. We will definitely be back.
