Dine at Spring and visit the South of France in Los Angeles.
Husband and wife team Tony Esnault and Yassmin Sarmadi, whose iconic French bistro Church & State paved the way for sophisticated downtown dining, have created an oasis in the Douglas Building.
Sitting in the atrium dining room for lunch, brunch or Saturday dinner, under the glass and steel roof, in the shade of a Pepper tree, listening to the trickle of the fountain, it’s easy to forget the bustle and noise of downtown.

Known for only using fresh and local ingredients, Chef Esnault pays tribute to the season with his full Seasonal Dinner Menu, featuring dishes that are available as each season permits. The Tasting Menus are designed to take guests on a divinely cultured tasting tour of Southern France.

The new Springside dining room is smaller in size compared to the Atrium at Spring, but the intimacy simply enhances the signature vivacity of a traditional French bistro.

    Spring never disappoints! We brought friends from out of town, and we had a wonderful meal, starting with the white shrimp appetizer. The duck received rave reviews for the richness of flavor as well as the preparation. The saffron in the bourride complemented the fish. We closed with a panna cotta that was light and fresh. Spring is such a gem. We always enjoy our dinners there, and we are happy to have it in DTLA!

    Well, they've moved to Yelp rez now so this might not matter. Really bad service. Mehhhhh food. Ordered drinks that never arrived. Pre-ordered birthday cake (on phone, not through Open Table) that never arrived. Food came out sporadically and, even though the restaurant was only 1/3 filled, was served to the wrong people. I'd skip it for brunch. Very attractive place. Not a keeper in my book!

    A special place for a special meal. The gift card that we had was a birthday gift from my daughter and son-in-law. They were pleased to hear that we enjoyed Spring.

    Did not impress nor live up to its reputation for excellent dining. Atrium is attractive but hardly worth a visit.

    the English pea soup and white shrimp appetizer were stellar. I tasted the crushed potatoes that my wife had with her steak and it was very good.
