Great Food! Great views on patio! Service was good, but slow (expected as everyone gets opened back up). We had to wait quite awhile for drinks and ask several times to get our heater turned on, but they were always super friendly.
The cocktails were beautiful and delicious, and the food was also great! I had the chicken and they were able to do it without bacon for me. Really enjoyed the dish! My dad got the crab ciopinno and said it was really good, and my boyfriend said the burger was great as well.
As usual, Spoonbar delivered a great menu, good food and service and an enjoyable dining experience. The bar was very busy so drink service was slow; however, the wait staff kept us informed and effectively managed the situation. Spoonbar continues to be one of my favorite go too restaurants in Healdsburg.
the food was outstanding. everyone’s dish was delicious!!!
The servers were kind and the ambience is wonderful and they did a great job with the lighting and the fire pits.
That said, we had ordered a few appetizers and asked them to pace it out so we didn't get them all at once; the server said "of course" and then brought all the appetizers and our salad all at the same time.
The olives were old and soft. The asparagus was over cooked. The fish was underwhelming. The burger was very good.
ordered sashimi salad and couldn't swallow the first bite. NEVER had worse fish. the rest of the food was just blah! uninspired, tasteless and greasy. service was poor. didn't enjoy a thing.
Great spot to relax and enjoy good food and ambiance -
Excellent food and presentation. Limited wine selection by glass
The beet salad was mostly beets which is very unusual. There were several varieties all cut into nice portions with very little endive. It had a nice dressing. The truffle fries were slim, crusty, and not overloaded with too much salt. I had a glass of Zinfandel wine that was delicious. Because of the pandemic, they see many people outside. The ambience outside leaves room for improvement. Overall a nice casual eatery
Seamless. Great food for value
Every dish is unique and delicious. Service was top notch, even when we had a complaint about too much ice in the lemonade, and not enough lemonade. We weren't charged. The dessert we had -- the cheesecake, was beautiful and scrumptious. We would definitely go back.
So so so yummy! Best food I have had in along time
The worst service ever in a Healdsburg restaurant! Food was good as always.
The worst fried chicken it has some weird spices thick coating and a heavily cinnamon spice sauce poured in the chicken the burger was super dry I ate one wing and threw the rest away the burger was left half eaten the best thing we got were the olives really disappointing
Fantastic service , brunch on Easter was fabulous, Oscar our server was gracious and friendly, all in all one of my favorite places for dining in Healdsburg CA ! Highly recommend.
Great service. Delicious food. Beautiful ambiance. Had a great Easter Brunch.
We had a great time during our Easter Brunch with our family. Food was delicious. Our server was Aaron and he was very attentive.
We had a lovely Easter brunch. Everything (food, service, ambiance, attention to COVID protocols) was wonderful!
Inside temperature was very cold due to open doors. Server explained they had them open for guests at one table that was outside. We contemplated leaving because it was so cold but we already ordered food and drinks. Food was excellent but we won’t return until summer and the open doors won’t affect us so dramatically.
Great service! Tuna sushi I was awesome! Lamb shank and Halibut was excellent. We will be back!
Celebrated a birthday with the ladies. All was good, a couple things as I am picky: We ordered a dish with something on the side (which didn't come), another dish that was without a bun and asked if wanted lettuce wrap - No thank you, but it came out with a lettuce wrap. Once switching from white to read, wait staff offered more glasses, we were shorted one...1, 2, 3, 4, 5 - yes there were still 5 of us. And lastly I wrote in the reservation, and reminded the hostess that we were celebrating a birthday. When dinner was finished, our wait staff asked if we would like dessert. Grrrr. We picked one and yes they comped it and the corkage for 2nd Sonoma County bottle of wine. Still a lovely evening.
I'm not even vegan but wanted to try the cauliflower steak and it was absolutely amazing. super flavorful, great texture.
Of all the restaurants we have visited during COVID-19, Spoonbar really has it down. The servers are very well trained-friendly, professional, and effective. The kitchen was firing well on this Friday night in spite of how busy the restaurant was. Almost everything was excellent. Great job all the way around. The outdoor dining set up is pleasant and safe. We loved our experience.
Great food and service as always, nice ambience, lots of fresh air and dining with doors and windows wide open and tables separated wide apart for the gradual emergence into a post-pandemic era. Very attractive outdoor dining facilities also.
I recently had dinner here since pandemic occurred. Spoonbar-h2hotel was very accommodating with our reservation and was very engaging in our needs and provided both great food and drink recommendations, we felt no rush and enjoyed our evening immensely. I would definitely recommend stopping here if your in Healdsburg and I will be going back again undoubtedly!👍🏼🙏🏼
Our meals were well prepared and flavorful and the service was excellent. The outdoor patio, while not a scenic spot, was comfortable with tables well spaced. We felt that Spoonbar was working hard to make guests feel welcomed while observing Covid safety protocols.
Well executed and attentive service but nothing to write home about.
Salad had a big potion and a very generous potion of beats.
Fried chicken was awesome and the hot sauce was unique and flavorful but the Biscut really dropped the ball on the whole evening.
I know... I find it weird that the Biscut could have that much impact. I had no idea but because the chicken was so good and the Biscut wasn’t it made a stark contrast for the overall success for the meal.
Next time spoon bar I’ll come back for sure
Pan seared halibut was wonderful!
The location is great, the service is friendly and the food is outstanding. What more do you need?
Really great regional cuisine in a lively and open environment. For COVID they had a really well-done patio out back with plenty of space and warmth on a cool late winter evening. The duck two ways with apricot bread pudding was amazing, and the gnocchi "side dish" was actually a terrific veggie entree with lots of fresh spring vegetables.
We came to this restaurant a couple of years ago, when Matt D’Ambrosi was the chef. While this visit was less impressive (less creative options), I know that part of the reason is COVID, and part is likely the chef change.
Because of outdoor dining requirements, it was a bit uncomfortable at dinner time (7pm), but hard to fault the restaurant for that. The leek soup and salmon were really outstanding. Salad was very nice (thanks to the kitchen for putting beets on the side), and service was attentive, without being intrusive. On the down side, the Brussels sprouts were a bit too oily (and a huge portion: enough for 4 as a side), and the bread was over-seasoned and unimpressive. All of that said, I’d go back—look forward to a post-Covid visit.
Great evening, the food and service was excellent.
My wife's salmon was good. My "smash" burger was fair. The prawn cocktail was okay, martinis were small. No need to go back.
The service was excellent as was the food! A friend and I dined there for Restaurant Week and had the special 3-course dinner. The restaurant offered three specialty drinks at a discounted price; we had the Pucker Up with raspberry vodka, a very tasty aperitif. The appetizer, tuna sashimi, was the best I’ve ever had; several generous slices of tuna were combined with avocado, kumquats, radish, peppers, and grapefruit. The large portion of sole was served on a bed of greens with a side of maakouda potatoes. The tiramisu was so delicious and a perfect end to a beautiful evening. Will definitely return soon.
Service & Ambience is good, especially during COVID. Waiters try to stay 6 feet distance from customers whenever possible, which is great. However, food is just ok compare to Bay Area.
Our recent dinner at Spoonbar was above expectations. They’ve created an outdoor area with fireplaces for every 2-3 tables, warmers, and enough distance between tables that you can dine there without COVID anxiety. We were celebrating, so decided to give them a try.
Our dinner was delicious and creatively prepared. I had the tuna sashimi and cauliflower steak, my husband had potato soup and hanger steak, and we both had tiramisu for dessert. Mouth-wateringly good!
Service was perfect.
We’re locals, and Spoonbar is our new favorite restaurant in Healdsburg!
We had a wonderful dinner and I wanted to explain my Ambiance score. With indoor dining not an option we were seated outdoors. There was a tent, some fire pits and that's about it. Not bad but not really great.
The food, the drinks, the service - awesome. COVID driven requirements - no fun for anyone.
SpoonBar did an excellent job of coping with the County dining restrictions. Our dinner was excellent, as was our service. We will be back.
We arrived on time, were seated right away, served water promptly and then ignored for 30 minutes. We got up and left at 5:30 after nobody in the entire restaurant acknowledged us, let alone took even a drink order. We're locals and have been here many times before, we are extremely disappointed with one of the few outings we've had in the last year.
