The Srafood Sundays are our favorite. It we also mus Cheri one of the nicest and efficient servers we have ever had.
Spoonbar was a great experience. We would go back for sure
The food was excellent and the portions were perfect. The ambience was nice and the decor was nicely done.
Food is excellent. Service started out good but after dinner took a long time to get our bill & when I discovered multiple errors on our bill our waiter had disappeared & we were totally ignored by rest of staff and it took a long time to get bill corrected
We arrived at 5 pm and the restaurant filled up pretty quickly. We sat next to the window - probably a bad idea as it was pretty chilly - but warmed up eventually. We were there
For Seafood Sunday. The potato leek soup was creamy and delicious, with small chunks of sturgeon, while the kale Caesar salad was lightly dressed and crunchy and tangy.
The dungeon is crab was excellent and for dessert the police oil cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and candied pecans (walnuts) was a perfect ending to a wonderful evening. Only downside - one loud group of folks clearly enjoying themselves. Oh well. Not Sooonbar’s fault.
Delicious Dungeness Local crab had Seafood Sunday 5pm on January 9, 2021! Real treat , Austin our server very accommodating and the front hostess is always so very nice and friendly!
Prix fixe NYE 5-course dinner included items not available on regular dinner menu. Sat in covered outdoor dining. Kitchen was uneven (brought items not meant for us, too long between courses, courses brought out before prior course done). Staff was friendly otherwise.
I now know why this place had last minute dinner reservations on New Year’s Eve. Everything was just ok, definitely not up to par with the rest of Healdsburg area dining.
Our go-to place for any holiday meal. Their holiday prix fix dinners are *the* best around, and normal menu meals are also fabulous.
Early NYE dinner, waitress was very rushed, only had about 10 seconds to look at the menu, she really pushed to get our drink order in, ended up getting something I didn’t want, she recommended, yes my fault for letting her push us to hurry. A group with kids came in, no big deal, until the gave them party favors with horns… kids blew horns the whole time, except when they had food. Another couple complained to the hostess, all she said was “terrible isn’t it?” but did nothing about it. Now on to the food… when I booked the reservation it showed the main menu and a pre-fix NYE menu, when I got the call from the restaurant to confirm, she let me know they had a pre-fix in addition to the regular menu, her words. We arrive and are told only two menus, a 3 course or five course, and everyone has to pick the same one. So, what I was looking forward to ordering was not available, we picked the 3 course. Everything was good, especially if you like oysters & caviar, and goat cheese (I don’t) however the Australian Wagyu beef was fabulous and so was the dessert.
We enjoyed an early dinner here on December 30. We felt safe, as staff were masked, other diners were masked when not at their own tables, and the tables were not too close together. It was a little chilly being next to the window on such a cold day, but other than that, we were quite comfortable. Cocktails very good, with a couple that were excellent. One of the dishes we ordered was a bit different from the written description ("thinly sliced radishes" were replaced by radicchio), the food was good and the portions quite large. Sad that they had no fresh oysters, and disappointed that the only seafood dishes were cioppino (which one of us loved!) and salmon, but we'll hope to return to try other dishes.
The food was delicious. The brussel sprouts are a must! There were two downsides. We definitely felt the problems of understaffed and poor reservation management. We had a reservation and they did not have a table ready for us when we got there. They said it was because of the weather and outdoor people wanted to eat inside. And when a table was ready it was in an overflow room that is not nearly as ambient as the main room. The table clothes were wrinkly and it felt more like a picnic, which is not ideal at this price point. The biggest problem was that one of our party has a severe nut allergy. He ordered the ribeye and there was a mysterious pesto on the plate that was not listed on the menu. When he asked the server to check with the chef the ingredients, she came back and said he was too bust but she was sure it was fine. That is totally unexceptable. Our friend had to go back to the kitchen to ask himself. The bottom line for the restaurant is to make sure your menu accurately reflects the dish and for guests to triple check about any potential allergies.
we thought it would be slow due to staff shortages but actually it wasn't. Slow start but we were well taken care of in under 2 hours
Busy yet we felt welcomed our waitress was very personable. First time there for dinner, will return
Service was excellent.
Favorite dishes: truffle fries (always good), lamb shank, grilled octopus salad, and the smash burger
Worst Christmas meal ever. I can understand being busy at the holidays, but we spend two and a half hours waiting for a dinner that consisted of lukewarm risotto, a fairly good steak accompanied by a chunk of overcooked, dry potato and a slice of cake. It took 54 minutes for the appetizers to come out... and they weren't even hot. Didn't complain because A.) we already waited close to an hour to eat and B.) no one ever came back to check on us. Then we waited another 40 minutes for the entrees to be delivered. The "crab" baked potato was horrible. When we were almost finished eating the portions of the meal that were edible, a busser brought us a bowl of brussel sprouts. We stated we didn't order any and he replied "They are on the house." They were also ON THE BILL for $10. I spent $500 for the meal and feel I was completely ripped off. I am a local resident and a Spoonbar fan, but after this disappointing experience I will never come back.
We came here for a prix fixe meal on Christmas. After two hours, we still hadn't gotten our entrees, even though one table next to us -- who had arrived 15 minutes after us, had their entire 3-meal course. The other table next to us -- who sat down a good 30 minutes after us, got their entree when we decided to leave. We talked to the manager, who apologized profusely, but it was just not enough to make us stay. Thankfully, we had leftovers at home, so our Christmas meal was not a total disaster.
Great Christmas menu with lots of choices.Lobster Risooto and Dungeness Crab salad were great,Duck and King Salmon were prepared perfectly.Lemon cheesecake and Raspberry Sorbet with other berries were really good too. After dinner EggNog was delicious as was the selection of Bourbon and Scotch.Great job!
This was a very pleasant Christmas dining experience. Very crowded, but our server was most attentive. We've eaten here at the holidays before and keep returning because the quality of the food and the experience is really worth it.
We went for Christmas dinner, and enjoyed it very much. We will be back
Such a fantastic meal with great service and ambience on Christmas Day. Can't wait to go back!
Front door let in cold wind/air. Staff helped but uncomfortable sitting near door/receptionist. Also, two dogs in a stroller were at the table next to us and our waiter kept petting the dogs and then served tables. Isn't this a Health Department violation? Not good.
Our server was wonderful and made the holiday all the more special.
Wonderful collection of wine and spirits to start. Good wine-by-the glass options and and superb wine-by-the-bottle list. Full bar.
Food is always good and the selections this time of year are adequate. In fact, the appetizers and sides are stars too.
Service was outstanding.
Food was excellent and very tasty. Friendly attentive service in a modern atmosphere. Would definitely dine here again and recommend to my friends at it was an enjoyable evening.
Service was good. Entrees looked better than it tasted. The Brussels sprouts were outstanding!
No place in Healdsburg that takes such good care of us. We feel like royalty--and the food is yummy!
Arrived on time and were promptly seated. Austin, our waiter was courteous and efficient. The halibut was very good, but the hamburger was difficult to eat with all the sauce and cheese oozing out. Overall, I would say we had an OK dining experience. Would definitely recommend several other restaurants over Spoonbar.
Girl Tribe Holiday Dinner
Excellent, fresh, high quality food, served in a warm, inviting space. Flavors are subtle and balanced. Service professional and warm -- my only minor quibble, and pet peeve, is that the servers removed some plates before other diners were finished. Otherwise attentive and professional service.
Halibut was divine!
Our waitress Sheri was great - extremely personable and knowledgeable. Thanks for a great meal!
Great dining experience with my family. Service was very good and food to wine selections excellent. Highly recommend. Parking can be a problem so get there ahead of reservation time.
Everything was great- except it was very cold in the restaurant and there were people coming in and out doors on 3 sides
Great time and great service definitely a good place to go back to
Great food and wonderful service. A great dinning experience
Reliably excellent and interesting. It is a standard by which we judge other restaurants.
We have enjoyed several wonderful dinners before tonight. Our server had attitude after serving the wrong salad and entree.
Wonderful service and food.
