Spoonbar - h2hotel
Freeform tables made from reclaimed acacia surround a long, communal table crafted from a split tree. Splashes of color—from the turquoise Eames chairs to the golden floral three dimensional wall art—brighten the open space like dappled sunshine filtering through summer leaves. On warm days and evenings the restaurant’s Cantina doors open up to sidewalk dining.

best short rib we have ever had anywhere - fun vibe in the restaurant
We hadn’t been to Spoonbar for several years. Our meal was excellent. We will return soon.
The tuna tartare was amazing and the chicory salad too.
The fried chicken was crispy and very tasty and all our portions were larger than I remember and that was a nice surprise. Staff was very friendly and helpful!
The food was a little over the top with flavor. The burger had a smoky taste from the cheese, too much sweetness from carmelized onions that overpowered. Follow that with truffle fries and secret sauce and it is a party in your mouth. Not in a good way.
Great restaurant with a fantastic location. Plus they were willing to put up with us 😁
I went here years ago and loved it, and was pleasantly surprised the quality has not decreased one bit. Excellent food, very kind waitstaff, and lots of local selections.
We went for dinner the night after Christmas, so the place was very quiet. It may not normally be so quiet. The décor was nice, nothing over the top. If I remember correctly the tables are metal topped. My sister had the fried chicken, which would have easily fed three people. She took 2/3's of it home for later. My brother and I had the short rib, which melted in your mouth and was easily flaked with a fork. Service was good. I had French Onion Soup to start as I had a cold and needed the heat to clear up my head. It did the job. No deserts this night as we were all pretty tired. Would come back again.
The fixed price four course Christmas dinner was one of the best meals I've ever had in a restaurant. Nothing more to say.
Honestly it was awful.
Very nice staff with excellent food!
Fried Chicken Wednesday is an epic treat! Please keep this wonderful item on the menu all year round!
Fantastic Lobster Sunday, great cocktails, attentive staff, birthday candle and dessert a nice touch!
Sunday evening is a great time to dine at Spoonbar----plenty of parking and an uncrowded restaurant. The dishes we enjoyed were delicious and interestingly complex. Great service and no corkage on this particular occasion.
We were seated in a back dining area so the noise level was much more quiet than the rest of the restaurant? The duck confit ravioli was delicious as was the butternut squash risotto.
Spoonbar has gone through some chefs (some I liked better than others), but the food now is terrific. They were also able to seat us early and we never felt rushed, even though it was a Saturday night. A very nice dining experience!
Portions very small. Soup portion was size of a creamer for coffee and served in too large a bowl. Extreme overkill.About $3 a spoonful.
Solid comfort food, well prepared. Ambiance a little modern high tech for my taste but pleasant with good service. Great location near the square.
Open on Thanksgiving with a special dinner - had the Turkey Croquettes, which were phenomenal!
Great use of seasonal ingredients. delicious choices. great service. really enjoyed our dinner and will return.
Not a bad place. I'd try it again. Gave it 3 stars but really 3.5 but not 4. All 5 of us in our party enjoyed the snacks, as they are called on the menu, but the main courses were all just lacking something from making them really good. The chicken was dry, but dish had good flavor but dry chicken at a nice restaurant???? The Cioppino had tasty seafood but the broth tasted like blah marinara sauce. The Short Rib was over seasoned with some spice that the 2 people who had it got tired of the it 1/2 way thru the meal. So overall worth trying again, maybe a bad day for kitchen.
We celebrated our friend’s’ anniversary. The service was on point. Food was delicious. The sommelier recommendation was perfect to pair with our foods. The ambiance was romantic for the occasion.
The food was excellent! Tuna tartare app was exceptional. Also highly recommend the chocolate mousse was fantastic.
sorry very no taste risotto ; raviolis non remarkable
We went for Lobster Sunday. Chef Matt made the best lobster that we have ever had, including in Maine!
We shared the prawns for an appetizer. There were 5 and since there were 2 of us 6 would have been better. Not all that big at all. Then we shared the butter lettuce with strawberries salad. This was good, light and refreshing. The creme type dressing was really thick and tasteless. Our main dish was braised short ribs with a delicious sauce. $31 for about 3 bites each. No veggies or potatoes. So the skimpy portions were really disappointing. I guess these small plates were not meant to be shared. The Tom Thum cocktail was delicious. Service was impeccable and the setting was great. We spent around $100 and went home a bit hungry. Very few choices on the menu!
good food. good ambiance. good evening all around.
The food was great, service not so much. Our empty plates sat in front of us for a long time. Also water service was hard to get. Ambience great.
Service was very attentive and friendly. Minimalist decor. Food was OK. The ravioli was served barely warm. The Petrale Sole was well prepared, but the fish was not very tasteful.
We were celebrating my husband’s birthday with another couple. The food was delicious but the service was very slow and they never acknowledged his birthday. The fire alarm went off twice but no apology or explanation. We asked and there was an issue with the vent in the kitchen. We still had a nice time but they need to work on their service!
Fine but would not go back
We had a great dinner. Food was amazing and service was superb. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Great overall experience.
Always great food and service
The food was truly fantastic - a cut above, even for Healdsburg, which is known for outstanding restaurants! Love the dark and modern ambience, with a view to the lovely natural outdoor setting or the street - your choice! Very European!
Food is delicious!
Great food. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Noice leaflet got high through the night-but very fun atmosphere.
So many yums here from start to finish, including the cocktails and dessert. Five spoons!
Exceptional service. The pasta is amazing. Wine selection is extensive and wonderful. Highly recommend.
We went to Spoon bar last night and everything went really well until we got our main course. My boyfriends mom and I both got a burger and it was not cooked at all..... we had them take it back and it came back AGAIN raw. I’m not sure how a chef can mess up a burger twice? The manager and server apologized and asked if we wanted free dessert. I’m not a dessert person and neither was anyone at our table so we declined. We didn’t have an appetite for them to make us another meal... and we just wanted to leave because we were already there for a long time. All in all - we had a good experience, but I would probably just go there for a drink and not food
Very tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere; friendly staff
