Spoonbar - h2hotel
Freeform tables made from reclaimed acacia surround a long, communal table crafted from a split tree. Splashes of color—from the turquoise Eames chairs to the golden floral three dimensional wall art—brighten the open space like dappled sunshine filtering through summer leaves. On warm days and evenings the restaurant’s Cantina doors open up to sidewalk dining.

Not sure why people like it. We sent one dinner back.
The pasta was disappointing salty!
The ambience is beautiful - very tall ceilings, nature inspired decor (lots of sleek wood).
Food was delicious - we had a winter chicory salad, cioppino, and Brussels sprouts (all shared between two people). Probably didn’t need Brussels sprouts, it was a lot of food !
Cocktails were lovely; they have savory/nutty cocktails if you enjoy those.
It was very nice. The Halibut meal was delicious, the service was great and the cocktails were terrific!
Thanksgiving dinner with my wife. She wanted turkey, I wanted beef. When ordering, I asked how rare I could get the prime rib. As expected, I was told that they cook all prime rib to medium rare. Orders were placed with my saying “Please get the rarest beef possible” and about 10 minutes later we were served by staff (not our server) - 2 turkey dinners. I said that mine was supposed to be beef. They took it back, leaving my wife’s turkey dinner. I caught our server a minute later to remind her of the RAREST POSSIBLE. She ran back to the kitchen to tell them. 20 minutes later my meal arrived. I usually like to eat WITH my wife. Not here! Her turkey dinner was now cold and there was no mention or explanation of the delay. My beef was medium +. The edge 1” all around was gray and dry like cardboard. I will never go back.
This was our first time dining out for Thanksgiving and we had a wonderful time. The food was tasty and there was something for everyone on the menu. The specialty cocktails were amazing and service was second to none.
We went for Thanksgiving dinner. $65 pre fixe per person, 3 courses. Overall, we liked it our dinner there and loved being seated by the garden. We shared starters, shrimp w. sauce and a lovely salad; they worked well together. Prime rib, well appreciated by my husband. Halibut for the non-meat eater. Lovely presentations with rich creamy mashed potatoes and a good mix of roasted veggies. About the halibut, no, don't serve the kale with stems, no one wants to eat them. Throw in a carrot instead. For dessert they really hit it out of the park. Pecan pie with vanilla ice. Boring right? Oh no, this pecan pie was a rich tasty 4" pastry shell, filled with lusciously sweet roasted pecans, with a rich caramel sauce poured over the tip and just a dab of ice cream. I want to go back tomorrow and eat this again. Well done!
Incredible service and outstanding items, each prepared perfectly. The drinks were amazing, especially the smoke infused bourbon cocktail.
Prime Rib Monday's are a good dining experience for beef. Generous cut of prime rib served with rich sides.
Nice setting and great service.
Such a great value. The service and presentation were excellent. Two meals for me. A reasonable price, and happy to support our local restaurants who’ve gone through quite a bit during the fires and evacuations.
What a wonderful experience! It was my first time there and it did not disappoint. The service was incredible, so attentive. And not just from our waiter, but from everyone else around us. Will definitely be coming back
OpenTable reservation was not on record at Spoonbar when we arrived. Fortunately, they had a table when we arrived, but there was no reservation on record.
Potions are far too large to be manageable. The seafood stew was bland and not fresh tasting.
Great late night dinner. Nice choices.
Food was very salty.
Fabulous service and great food! Our server was great on suggesting wines that would compliment our food orders perfectly. Beautiful restaurant and great location. We will be back!
My husband and I went to Spoonbar in a Tuesday night. We made a reservation but we did not need to. The restaurant is in the H2 hotel and is in a great space. They service was a bit slow at first but the staff was very nice. It just took a while for us to get our drinks but after that things were fine. They have an extensive cocktail menu so I decided to go that way and take a break from wine. Had a drink called clockwork orange. It was really good, different and refreshing. As for food, everything we ate was delicious! We shared the Sugo ribbon pasta and then I got the chicken confit and my husband got the cheddar smash burger and fries. I am sure everything you get there would be delicious! They had a nice dessert menu but we were too full! Have to go back another time!
Good food, as always. Portion sizes are very generous (i.e. consider splitting dishes). Staff seems overwhelmed at times, leading to uneven service.
The meal and the service was excellent! Can hardly wait to go back for Prime Rib Monday and Fried Chicken Wednesday, specials, as they are sure to be!
Our service was excellent as was the food, but the noise level of the restaurant made conversation a little difficult
Wonderful food and service!
10 friends at a big table. FUN
A delightful dinner or lunch establishment. Everything is top notch from honoring the time of your reservation to the service to the quality of the food. You will not feel rushed. The chairs are comfortable and restaurant has a very nice vibe.
When Spoonbar first opened, years ago, it did not win the hearts of many of us who live here. I haven’t returned for years, until last night. I recently heard from friends that changes for the better had taken place. I looked at the on-line menu and thought it might be worth a try. When I arrived for an early dinner the menu for the evening was far better than I expected. The decor has been tastefully redone and the service was polished, yet friendly. My grilled artichoke was tasty, and a large serving. The ribeye was done to perfection. The star of the show was the dessert beignets and coffee cocktail. So glad that Spoonbar is now back on my list of places to go!
Great Monday night Prime Rib special. Wonderful service, beautiful room and ambiance. Quality food and no corkage fee, made for a delightful night out in Healdsburg.
Cocktails were fantastic, and the appetizers are a real highlight. The mains were a little disappointing after the build up from the appetizers, but perhaps we chose poorly. Would definitely come back again for drinks and nibbles.
Great food! We had a grilled artichoke starter that was out of this world. We had the steak main and split it between 3 people and still had leftovers. The cocktails were creative and refreshing.
Went to Spoonbar for our anniversary. The drinks were absolutely amazing! Probably the only reason we would come back! Service was ok. We ordered an item and we never got it. We got our main dish and I had the chicken confit and took a few bites and it just didn’t taste right. Felt so sick we just got the bill and left and was actually glad we didn’t get that last item. Ambiance is nice and can’t say enough about how amazing drinks were.
My husband and I dined at Spoonbar while we stayed in Healdsburg. The service was quick and very friendly. We had a great experience with the staff from filling the water glasses and clearing the plates. They informed us they were known for their cocktails so I ordered 2 and we shared. The first was Orange Clockwork. I believe it was made with ginger, carrot juice, thyme, orange juice, and ginger beer. Amazing take on a Moscow Mule. The second cocktail was the New West Gin. It was made with gin, mint, cucumber, egg white. Also, a well made cocktail. The food was very thought out and flavorful. I had the peach and tomato salad. Delicious! I also had the Tuna Tartar. Delicious as well! My husband had the fried chicken bc it was Fried Chicken Wednesday. It reminded him of home, Nashville hot chicken! I would highly recommend this restaurant for a date, a wine trip dinner, special Occassions, anytime.
Food and service were both out of this world!!! Great vibe in the place and the food and adult bevs were right on point! We found this place online while returning to San Fran from a day spent in awe of the redwoods! This place was literally the icing on the cake! The little town was also so cute and cool!!! But again the food was A+!
We went to Spoonbar for the Prime Rib Monday and were not disappointed. Three of us got the prime rib, and one got as shrimp and pasta dish. The portion were HUGE. The prime rib was perfectly done and really tasty. All the accompaniments were delicious. It was a great deal at $37/pp. We would definitely go back for that.
The Monday prime rib special was absolutely delicious and a great value.
Thanks great place
This was a last minute decision and it was well worth the impulse. We started with Paloma cocktails at happy hour. The bartender was very attentive and informative. He gave us a taste of gin we had never had and will definitely request this on our next visit. All food servings were more than ample so we took some home. Everything was prepared perfectly. We had three waiters taking cared of us sol we never had to wait. We will return!
The service and food were five-star this visit. However, when the very large party came in to the table right behind us, it was not easy to keep up our conversation. There were other tables where we could have been seated, away from the banquet table.
Lovely wine selection, a nice variety of menu options, and the ambiance was great! We started with the ahi tuna, summer heirloom tomato salad (AMAZING), and the artichokes. Got a nice juicy burger and truffle Parmesan fries for the main dish. The burger was one of the best burgers I’ve had in the area. We will be coming back for breakfast very soon!
Pretty good, server seemed distracted
We Celebrated my Wife’s Birthday with friends and service was outstanding
Great find, great service, great drinks and food!!
Server checked with us far, far too many times. Food was great.
