The food at Spoon Bar is fresh and delicious. We chose the fixed price meal and had a tasty salad, beautifully cooked halibut, and panna cotta for dessert. The chairs are unusually comfortable for a restaurant. And the service was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend Spoon Bar.
Everything was exceptional at the Spoonbar. The water pourers were a little overzealous; however, the water was great. Wonderful Eastside cocktail!
Great food loved the fixed price menu Risotto, Strawberry salad and panna cotta outstanding!!
Oh my! The food is incredible! Simply incredible. Love the atmosphere and service was good as well. ONE of my very favorite places I've ever eaten. Fun and tasty cocktails too!
The food and service were phenomenal! Will definitely be coming back! Thank you!
The food was really lovely, and the ambiance special.
Excellent vegetarian options, delicious smoked old fashioned like cocktail, and fabulous desserts to share. Great dining for locals and for visitors. Especially appreciated the chef coming to our table to chat after dinner.
We are visiting Sonoma county and found this restaurant online. Food and cocktails were so fun and delicious. The wait staff could not have been more accommodating. So friendly and wonderful. Will definitely be back and recommend this awesome place.
We had not eaten at H2 for several years. Recently we heard from friends that the food was really delicious. After eating dinner at H2 with friends Sunday night, we agree. The whole experience was good. We'll definitely return soon.
The Spoonbar was a surprise as we had never been there before. We were given our choice of two tables, one by the sidewalk, where we could watch people walk by, and one in a quiet area on the side of the dining area - duh! After we were seated it took a while fir the waiter to come and see us, but when he showed up with two glasses of champagne we realized why it took a while. I had noted on the reservation that it was our anniversary and Spoonbar was celebrating with us. This was very nice. For dinner, my wife had the Alaskan Halibut and I had the Chicken Tagine. Both dishes were excellent. The halibut was done very nicely and presented beautifully with potatoes and vegetables. The chicken was so good that I practically wiped the tagine clean. I have had this dish in a Moroccan restaurant in the Bay Area, and this was so much better. Amazing flavors all melding together and the chicken was tender and at the same time had a slight crust. Just perfect. There are many restaurants in the Healdsburg area, but now Spoonbar is at the top of the list.
Charming restaurant with modern decor, large folding doors that were open to enjoy the beautiful evening. As we were sitting by the open doors, the noise level was actually quite low, which we appreciate as we are not a big fan of high decibel restaurants (in fact, quite the opposite. We will walk out of a restaurant if it is too noisy).
We shared four dishes, all of which were expertly prepared, tasty, and with professional presentation.
We had two starters, an ahi tuna tartare and a lobster-asparagus gazpacho, done with a strawberry broth. The main courses were risotto and a pasta with duck confit. Dessert was a trio of sugar donuts with a chocolate sauce on the side. I would have all of the dishes again! Delicious food and ample proportions.
Service was prompt and cheerful.
It is not cheap to eat here, but in my opinion you get quality food for your money and I would definitely go back again.
New Chef's famous Smoked Gouda Burger was a winner! I love that they now have a more approachable menu - variety of interesting items but also burger and excellent truffle fries !
We were pleasantly surprised with Spoonbar; the space is beautiful with a great ambiance, very friendly service, great food at a reasonable price! Will definitely be back and would recommend it to friends and family.
Disappointing evening. We arrived to an almost empty dining room and were seated quickly. At the start of our meal, our guests asked for a separate bar tab as they wanted to cover drinks we advised both waiters and other staff of this.
In spite of the emptiness our drinks arrived after our appetizers and small dishes were nearly consumed. It took multiple attempts to get a wine ordered and actually needed to get up to request help from wait staff.
The appetizers were good; the chicken tagine was also good. The risotto was quite disappointing (in spite of the waiter’s recommendation). It was served in a low flat plate about one rice-size depth so was immediately cold.
The bill was delivered incorrectly & we needed to get up to request the bill and again get up to request a correction.
The dining room is lovely - so we may give it another try - but there are so many good options in Healdsburg, I hesitate to chance another visit.
Every dish was 👌. Definitely recommend!
My favorite place to have a cocktail in Healdsburg! Incredible food with an extensive wine list. Wade and his team are wonderful!
Perfect dinner, perfect bartender, perfect night!
Delicious creative food in a hip and stylish atmosphere. My husband and I wanted to try something new from our regular go-to's in Healdsburg and we very happy with our experience at Spoonbar. We are foodies and the food did not disappoint. We try to eat light and healthy and there were plenty of good options that were creative and delicious. Loved the atmosphere - so stylish! Ordered wines by the glass to pair with our courses that were very good as well. We will be back!!
The food overall was pretty good. Service left a lot to be desired, esp. at this price point.
We were a party of five on a busy weekend. The service was excellent despite it being busy. The food was fantastic. Great meal!!!
Mother’s Day brunch. 1:15 pm reservations. Placing our orders on a very limited menu when a teen rushes out to tell our server “86 on the Salmon”. Well, that was the only actual entree on offer. No wonder Chef! When the other options are 2 sandwiches or French Toast? One. I ordered a salad without blue cheese. Another in our party ordered the same, but regular. I was given the wrong salad. Ok. It happens. But, Two. My burger, the one I ordered medium, came rare. Just short of raw. Three. Then I asked for a medium burger but Chef determined he’d just heat up the cut side. Leaving the rest of the burger just a shade to the left of raw. Again. Four. After everyone else was done. But I really would have been happy to eat a freshly cooked medium flipping burger. I was hungry! One or two bites of salad. 2 bites of rare burger. Looking forward to desserts! The waitress brought us the last two macrons. For the 4 of us. Five. Chef, you just don’t have a clue how to order, do ya? The mini cupcakes had probably been baked yesterday as they were not fresh! Six. What a lousy holiday brunch. They took one meal off the bill. Good since I didn’t eat. We stopped at Jack in the Box on the way home. I got what I asked for! Spoonbar looks good from the outside, but much like my unwanted burger, not good on the inside. Save your time. Save your money. Chef, you’re an unlucky 7.
Our first time there was excellent from the server to the dessert, but the last two times weren’t as great. They have a new chef unfortunately, but we will give it another try because the food is better than most places in Healdsburg.
Excellent service, but slightly slow to get drinks served at the start. Great food and environment.
Our server was very attentive and aware of good allergies. The wine list was fabulous and he helped us pick two great bottles. The sea bass was a bit bland. Dessert was great, as well as the coffee.
Fantastic food and wonderful service.
Great food and outstanding service!
Wonderful meal from start to finish.
We were surprised to get a table for 4 on a Saturday right in the center of Healdsburg, but the ample space held us. The gorgeous contemporary decor shines with concrete, wood and comfy upholstered chairs, along with expansive natural light coming from two walls of windows. Our server was charming, and accommodated our guest who is extremely gluten sensitive. Deelish apps of tuna poke, beet tartare (!!) and smoked octopus got us started. Great clean cocktails, and though we didn't drink a lot of wine, the list was diverse. For mains we had a breathtaking spring pea and Bellwether ricotta ravioli with crips pancetta, a nicely cooked NY strip with a uber creamy sauce and pickled kumquats, perfect salmon, and another homemade pappardelle that was the only imperfect thing on the menu; only because the citrus on it was overwhelming, needing more zest and less juice- but the texture was perfect. We shared a giant amazing panna cotta with citrus and left feeling glorious. To top it off it's not overpriced. Hooray!
The ambiance, service and food were all terrific. It was the perfect place to go after a day of wine tasting.
As Locals living in Healdsburg, we have a variety of great dining spots that we frequent- but Spoonbar is a go-to choice for special occasions. My husband and I love the ambience, the almost-al fresco dining when the large window doors open up to the sidewalk, the friendly staff, and amazing food/wine program. I also love that I can bring my favorite Sonoma County wine for no corkage fee!
This was SUCH an enjoyable experience!!!
The food was SO good!!! Our table shared the asparagus salad, and ahi tuna poke which was just wonderful, and had the risotto, the potato + black truffle culurgiones, and spring pea ravioli, for our entrees; it was all AMAZING!!!!
The dining room was quiet enough to carry on a conversation, which is rare in a lot of Healdsburg restaurants, and the waitstaff was professional and really excellent.
We will definitely be returning!
Great service and wonderful food. It's our first time there. We've been looking at coming before but always ended up somewhere else. Really glad we made it this time. We will be back. I loved the spring pea ravioli. Fantastic!
The restaurant is not one of the Top 8 in Healdsburg by any means. The number of waiters was between 3-4 for a room with 20+ people in the restaurant and another 10-12 in the bar. Most of the wait staff hung around the bar visiting with friends. As a result, the service was slow, slower, and even slower.
When the meals were finally delivered 45 minutes later, two of the items didn't make it to the table. As we were leaving(90 minutes later), one of the wait folks asked if we wanted our Brussel Sprouts, as they were almost ready.
Simply put, almost all the restaurants in Healdsburg are much better than H2. Try Valette, Baci, Dry Creek, Willie's, Chalkboard, and 3-4 others before you sink to H2
We had a great time, it was a special jazz night too. Cocktails were the perfect start and the meal was excellent starting with the bacon wrapped stuffed dates and ending with doughnuts and panna cotta. Highlights: asparagus done to perfection, seafood like octopus and ahi, and the spring ravioli melts in your mouth. The chefs really make optimal use of seasonal ingredients, presentation stunning. Spoonbar's atmosphere both in the bar and dining room is always fun. I love dining at Spoonbar.
Service was occasional...we poured all but the first glass of wine. Steak was tough. Space is very nice. This place needs a manager who knows the restaurant business.
We’ve been here on a number of occasions and found the food to be hit and miss. The hit on this occasion was the poke, the miss was the bbq smoked octopus (too many potatoes and not enough octopus). Had that dish there before and it was excellent. We went because a percentage of their proceeds were to benefit the local educational foundation. We’ll probably go back at some point, but it may be a while.
The food and wine were amazing. The som came by and guided us to a wine that is now one of my favorites. We closed the place down, and loved every moment. Will go again, and hopefully again!
This place is amazing!!! Every food we had was delicious!!! Second time my sisters and I been there. Service is always top notch! Please try it, you wont regret it.
This was our first time at Spoonbar and we will certainly be coming back. The Unique flavorful dishes and cozy environment made for a perfect date night.
Over priced food with ridiculously small portions. Slow service. No gluten free options.
