My wife's salmon was good. My "smash" burger was fair. The prawn cocktail was okay, martinis were small. No need to go back.
The service was excellent as was the food! A friend and I dined there for Restaurant Week and had the special 3-course dinner. The restaurant offered three specialty drinks at a discounted price; we had the Pucker Up with raspberry vodka, a very tasty aperitif. The appetizer, tuna sashimi, was the best I’ve ever had; several generous slices of tuna were combined with avocado, kumquats, radish, peppers, and grapefruit. The large portion of sole was served on a bed of greens with a side of maakouda potatoes. The tiramisu was so delicious and a perfect end to a beautiful evening. Will definitely return soon.
Service & Ambience is good, especially during COVID. Waiters try to stay 6 feet distance from customers whenever possible, which is great. However, food is just ok compare to Bay Area.
Our recent dinner at Spoonbar was above expectations. They’ve created an outdoor area with fireplaces for every 2-3 tables, warmers, and enough distance between tables that you can dine there without COVID anxiety. We were celebrating, so decided to give them a try.
Our dinner was delicious and creatively prepared. I had the tuna sashimi and cauliflower steak, my husband had potato soup and hanger steak, and we both had tiramisu for dessert. Mouth-wateringly good!
Service was perfect.
We’re locals, and Spoonbar is our new favorite restaurant in Healdsburg!
We had a wonderful dinner and I wanted to explain my Ambiance score. With indoor dining not an option we were seated outdoors. There was a tent, some fire pits and that's about it. Not bad but not really great.
The food, the drinks, the service - awesome. COVID driven requirements - no fun for anyone.
SpoonBar did an excellent job of coping with the County dining restrictions. Our dinner was excellent, as was our service. We will be back.
We arrived on time, were seated right away, served water promptly and then ignored for 30 minutes. We got up and left at 5:30 after nobody in the entire restaurant acknowledged us, let alone took even a drink order. We're locals and have been here many times before, we are extremely disappointed with one of the few outings we've had in the last year.
The food at Spoonbar is uniformly excellent. Our server, Ben, was superb.
Under the strain of covid-19 Spoonbar delivered a delicious meal, beautifully served.
Excellent staff. Lots of airflow and heaters in their outdoor setup.
Even under COVID conditions food and service was great.
Amazing outdoor dining. Best cioppino ever! Great cocktails. Great service.
The food was not very good. Next to us, a table refused to pay for it because it wasn’t up to par. I paid 60$ for a dish that was at best okay. None of the food was great. The French fries were delicious. The selection of wine by the glass was limited.
Awesome, as always.
The staff is consistently wonderful, knowledgeable and extremely friendly.
I can't wait until they are packed, as they usually are, post this Covid tragedy to our local businesses.
Love you guys!!
It was perfect for Valentine’s Day!! Very nice, clean, relaxing and tasty!
I went there on VD dinner with my BF.
I wish we could eat at the dining room since the atmosphere was much nicer especially that rainy evening.
Outdoor dining area under the tent remind of my gym and far from romantic....,
We decided to sit at the entrance of the patio which had more traffic - maybe tent was a better choice ?
Well, It took a while for our server to take an order but foods are good and her service was good.
Over all a very good restaurant - fries was one of the best in Bay Area !
Best Filet ever. Cut with a fork.
Always a delightful experience. They also have vegan dishes as well.
Valentines
I went there to celebrate a birthday for a good friend. The entire experience was really terrific. They have tents with lights and fire pits to keep guests warm. It’s not only beautifully done but the staff are all friendly and helpful. Our meals were delicious. I got the scallops with lobster risotto and my friend ordered the salmon. Both were excellent! Hats off to the Spoonbar team! They are amazing.
Beautiful patio areas and simple elegant food options. Would be nice to have a few appetizers on the menu but the meals and desserts were excellent.
We always have a lovely experience at Spoon Bar. It has quickly become a favourite destination for us. The ribeye never disappoints. Their cocktail, "Traffic at the Round Barn, is my husband's favourite. This was my 1st time trying the salmon, it was pure perfection! Lightly crispy outside, moist and tender inside. The Brussels sprouts were a little underdone, I would have preferred them to be more like the salmon, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The gnocchi was the perfect accompaniment to this dish (that, coming from someone who doesn't normally eat gnocchi!)
Had an enjoyable evening at Spoonbar. Our waiter Ben was spot on and dinner was amazing!
I thought the value for the money was not there. The portions were very small. But nicely presented. The service was very slow. Which was OK considering the fact that it was a holiday. The staff seem to be on trained and confused about how to wait tables. And my cheesecake was delivered with a soup spoon rather than a dessert fork which was very disconcerting. In the old days that would’ve been grounds for firing. Not sure what it is today.
Great food and service! We dined outdoors of course, thus the ambiance wasn’t quite the same but they have tents and heaters so this turned out nicely.
The food is amazing, we had duck, salmon and chicken all fantastic and the pork belly bites were phenomenal, we will be back again 😊
Out for a long overdue dinner date with friends. Got seated quickly right next to a fire pit and under a heater so we were very comfortable. Drinks and appetizers we’re top notch. The pork belly was ridiculous! I had the king salmon, man was it good. Also ordered was the duck (delicious) and Moroccan chicken served in a tangine (very moist and flavorful). Wait staff was on point with their service and reconditions
The salmon dish was amazing... eating outside in November a bit chilly but manageable
Great spot- nicely fixed up to accommodate outdoor (pandemic) dining- we were glad to be seated near a heater. Ribeye was good, but there are better steaks in the Burg that are priced more affordably. The “traffic at the red barn” drink was Smokey deliciousness!
Great cocktails, great staff. Menu is solid - great comfort food. Ambiance suffers from the need for outdoor dining/drinking.
It was nice setup outside. The food was good. I guess I would have liked a few more choices from the entrees. The chicken my husband was delicious. My cioppino was good; I really loved the sauce.
Very nice backyard patio with good lighting and heat lamps. Food was delicious.
Our dinner was excellent and the service outstanding. The ambiance in the back garden was lovely.
Food was delicious.
The staff is very attentive, the outside patio is whimsical, and food is good. The truffle fries are addictive. The crispy duck was amazing but the other duck pieces were a bit chewy, and took quite a while. Unfortunately, they don't enforce masks for consumers. A man and woman kept getting up to walk their dog and never wore a mask. They were sat without one, and were never told to wear one. They must be regulars which allows special privileges. The servers has lengthy conversation with them. You need to enforce masks.
beautiful ambiance. dog friendly. friendly & speedy service. great food.
Great waitress, great food, great drinks. One of my fave restaurants!
Limited menu but everything is well executed. Moroccan chicken and cioppino stand out. And backyard outdoor seating is very comfortable and pleasant
We were seated first on a slope that was a little precarious. It was also adjacent to a creek and there were a lot of mosquitos. When we asked to be moved, we were put under the stairs of the hotel. After a third request to be moved, we were finally located closer to the hotel and in a nicer spot. After that, it then took another 1/2 hour or longer to be asked for our order. It was a special occasion, a friend's 60th birthday, and the whole experience was very disappointing.
Outdoor seating was great. Took off a star for service because they were overly attentive and it was a bit annoying. Expensive comfort food but great location and ambience.
