Spoonbar - h2hotel
Freeform tables made from reclaimed acacia surround a long, communal table crafted from a split tree. Splashes of color—from the turquoise Eames chairs to the golden floral three dimensional wall art—brighten the open space like dappled sunshine filtering through summer leaves. On warm days and evenings the restaurant’s Cantina doors open up to sidewalk dining.

Good food, as always. Portion sizes are very generous (i.e. consider splitting dishes). Staff seems overwhelmed at times, leading to uneven service.
The meal and the service was excellent! Can hardly wait to go back for Prime Rib Monday and Fried Chicken Wednesday, specials, as they are sure to be!
Our service was excellent as was the food, but the noise level of the restaurant made conversation a little difficult
Wonderful food and service!
10 friends at a big table. FUN
A delightful dinner or lunch establishment. Everything is top notch from honoring the time of your reservation to the service to the quality of the food. You will not feel rushed. The chairs are comfortable and restaurant has a very nice vibe.
When Spoonbar first opened, years ago, it did not win the hearts of many of us who live here. I haven’t returned for years, until last night. I recently heard from friends that changes for the better had taken place. I looked at the on-line menu and thought it might be worth a try. When I arrived for an early dinner the menu for the evening was far better than I expected. The decor has been tastefully redone and the service was polished, yet friendly. My grilled artichoke was tasty, and a large serving. The ribeye was done to perfection. The star of the show was the dessert beignets and coffee cocktail. So glad that Spoonbar is now back on my list of places to go!
Great Monday night Prime Rib special. Wonderful service, beautiful room and ambiance. Quality food and no corkage fee, made for a delightful night out in Healdsburg.
Cocktails were fantastic, and the appetizers are a real highlight. The mains were a little disappointing after the build up from the appetizers, but perhaps we chose poorly. Would definitely come back again for drinks and nibbles.
Great food! We had a grilled artichoke starter that was out of this world. We had the steak main and split it between 3 people and still had leftovers. The cocktails were creative and refreshing.
Went to Spoonbar for our anniversary. The drinks were absolutely amazing! Probably the only reason we would come back! Service was ok. We ordered an item and we never got it. We got our main dish and I had the chicken confit and took a few bites and it just didn’t taste right. Felt so sick we just got the bill and left and was actually glad we didn’t get that last item. Ambiance is nice and can’t say enough about how amazing drinks were.
My husband and I dined at Spoonbar while we stayed in Healdsburg. The service was quick and very friendly. We had a great experience with the staff from filling the water glasses and clearing the plates. They informed us they were known for their cocktails so I ordered 2 and we shared. The first was Orange Clockwork. I believe it was made with ginger, carrot juice, thyme, orange juice, and ginger beer. Amazing take on a Moscow Mule. The second cocktail was the New West Gin. It was made with gin, mint, cucumber, egg white. Also, a well made cocktail. The food was very thought out and flavorful. I had the peach and tomato salad. Delicious! I also had the Tuna Tartar. Delicious as well! My husband had the fried chicken bc it was Fried Chicken Wednesday. It reminded him of home, Nashville hot chicken! I would highly recommend this restaurant for a date, a wine trip dinner, special Occassions, anytime.
Food and service were both out of this world!!! Great vibe in the place and the food and adult bevs were right on point! We found this place online while returning to San Fran from a day spent in awe of the redwoods! This place was literally the icing on the cake! The little town was also so cute and cool!!! But again the food was A+!
We went to Spoonbar for the Prime Rib Monday and were not disappointed. Three of us got the prime rib, and one got as shrimp and pasta dish. The portion were HUGE. The prime rib was perfectly done and really tasty. All the accompaniments were delicious. It was a great deal at $37/pp. We would definitely go back for that.
The Monday prime rib special was absolutely delicious and a great value.
Thanks great place
This was a last minute decision and it was well worth the impulse. We started with Paloma cocktails at happy hour. The bartender was very attentive and informative. He gave us a taste of gin we had never had and will definitely request this on our next visit. All food servings were more than ample so we took some home. Everything was prepared perfectly. We had three waiters taking cared of us sol we never had to wait. We will return!
The service and food were five-star this visit. However, when the very large party came in to the table right behind us, it was not easy to keep up our conversation. There were other tables where we could have been seated, away from the banquet table.
Lovely wine selection, a nice variety of menu options, and the ambiance was great! We started with the ahi tuna, summer heirloom tomato salad (AMAZING), and the artichokes. Got a nice juicy burger and truffle Parmesan fries for the main dish. The burger was one of the best burgers I’ve had in the area. We will be coming back for breakfast very soon!
Pretty good, server seemed distracted
We Celebrated my Wife’s Birthday with friends and service was outstanding
Great find, great service, great drinks and food!!
Server checked with us far, far too many times. Food was great.
Food and service were great. Risotto was amazing and my NY was cooked perfectly.
The food is always delicious here. But the service is inconsistent and was very slow this night, even though the restaurant was not packed.
Our server was friendly and polite, but I think they were understaffed in the kitchen and in general. Even drinks were slow in coming. I wouldn’t normally leave a negative review, but this isn’t the first time this has occurred.
We sat outside on the patio, very quiet and private. Service was excellent - I knocked over a glass of wine and the server was there with a replacement glass in less than a minute and everything cleaned up promptly. Food was excellent - we had fried green tomatoes as the appetizer and it was very good, the burrata with toast and huckleberry was ok but the best part was the prime rib which my dining partner and I shared, perfectly cooked and very very tasty. They has some very reasonably priced wines by the bottle as well. Definitely would recommend.
Sitting outside on a pleasant night was wonderful. Food fabulous!
Our sever and patio table were perfect. The food was very bland and under seasoned. We had corn and zucchini risotto and papadella with short rib ragout. The dessert of beignets with blackberry sauce was delicious.
Love the ambiance and the meals, but, when full of diners you pretty much have to scream over the larger tables.
Celebrating my moms bday. Food and service was amazing. The restaurant itself is beautiful as well
Bread was amazing. The Cocktail was strong
Service was great.
Wonderful food in a casual, but stylish setting. The risotto and cioppino were both excellent.
The service here was great but the food seemed overpriced and full of itself. Really good interesting cocktails.
Your bill at Spoonbar now includes a "BOH" (back of house) fee (a fixed percentage of the price of the food and beverage you order) which goes to kitchen staff. Now I want kitchen staff to earn a living wage no less than servers, etc. but (a) I had to ask for an explanation of this charge...it wasn't offered on the menu or by our server and (b) there was no offer to remove the charge (as some restaurants do) when I inquired about this unexplained charge. There's just no way around the fact that if you're accustomed to tipping X% on your food and beverage charges, this ends up being an extra Y% you are "forced" to pay. That said, the cioppino was huge and full of seafood in a tasty broth ($36). Corkage is free on Sonoma County wines.
LOVE the Spoonbar! The food is excellent!!! Went there with family and friends and we had such a great time!! The wait staff could not have been nicer; the drinks were delicious, and the food was out of this world! I had the trout and it was amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!!!
The service as a little slow. We had a theater date and had to remind the waiter to bring the main as we were running out of time. We had told him we had a time limitation.
Great place to catch up with your girlfriends over cocktails, wine and delicious food. The risotto was amazing.
We were staying at the h2hotel so we went for our first night in town. Really nice food. Service disrupted by a large table nearby. Great wine and cocktail list. Overall a good place for dinner.
The pre fixed was off the charts good and so much food. Thanks Matt
I liked Spoonbar a lot. I was a bit apprehensive after mixed reviews about service especially but our service experience was top notch. The food was very good. The appetizers were tasty. My husband thought he was getting a plate of ribs instead of 4 for an appetizer but I thought the size was just right. It’s not a plate of ribs kind of place. We ordered the risotto andI am a complete risotto snob. Most restaurant risottos do not meet my standards but Spoonbar’s did. The rice was perfect and saucy and creamy with strong flavors. The Duck confit was delicious. We loved that the restaurant waives the corkage fee for local wines. Dessert was perfectly made beignets. We could hear each other talk and I liked how the restaurant was open to the street. Yes Spoonbar is a little pricey but not ridiculously so. I would go back for sure.
