    Actually the service was quite good. I could not rate the new manager. I had a problem with the him and will detail that. Louis didn't seem to know what he was doing. We are regulars there and most of the folks welcomed us, as usual. Louis didn't even seem to be interested in coming over to the table to say hello. I flagged him down and asked if HE was new. Yup, he was. Did he ask why I knew that? Nope, he just tried to impress us with what he knew and where he came from. Neither of those things worked for us. He seemed uninformed about the menu or who was serving. Disappointing from a place that we usually love as regulars. Chris, Oscar, Lauren, Iris, etc were all great, but what is with this new guy??? Get him straightened out please.

    The food was very heavy and not well seasoned. We had horrible customer service. We repeatedly had to try to flag down our server to get some attention. There was a huge party of close to 30 next to us. Clearly they were not staffed to serve all those people.

    Food was great, restaurant was a little lou with street cars and motorcycles passing by the open windows but it did not bother us too much with the great food.

    Not sure what the true story was but our main courses may not have been ordered. There were four of us, after appetizers, one main course showed up. Then the other three never came. No one was available to help for quite a while for us to even alert to the problem. We were told the kitchen manager was brand new as well as the runner who delivered the dishes and everything was chaotic in the kitchen. We finally received the other three orders almost a half hour later. We think the order was never put through properly and they only received the one dish. We also had requested a glass of wine that took at least 15 minutes to show up. The food is excellent here, but the scattered delivery process made the whole meal experience really strange. We were afraid to order desert.

    Great menu -- can't go wrong with Tuna Taretare, or the king salmon. Chicken was lovely also.

    We opted for the prix fixe fix meal that was offered with advanced reservations in combination with attendance at a concert at the 222 across the street. The offerings were interesting and well priced. The service from Bella was exceptional. If we had not been 15 minutes late the timing of our 5:30 reservation for a 7 PM show would have been perfect As it was one of our party of 3 was a 1/2 hour late, but they I worked her in and delivered her entree at the same the time, so it worked out fine.

    Meal quality is exceptional. Both our meals were so tasty. Fun energetic atmosphere. Great service. More affordable prices than other restaurants in the area. We will definitely return.
