Wonderful to be able to sit outside and enjoy wonderful food and service. Thank you!
Mother's Day is a difficult day to try out a new resto. The place was super busy, so service suffered. We had to ask for drink refills twice and then had to wait a while before the refills came. The food was good to very good, but not outstanding. Ok. So we're spoiled for terrific food in the bay area, but they do need to up their game in the food department.
Very fast service. We had to eat fast and you took care of us!
We were there for Mother’s Day Brunch.
The doors were all open so it was a lovely indoor-outdoor space, so even though the seating was almost full, we felt very comfortable. The service from receptionist to the staff that took care of us was excellent, and we really appreciated that. The food was not as good as we remembered. My crab eggs Benedict was ok, but the price being $35 seemed a bit too much. Same with what my son had - Duck Hash with potatoes- he enjoyed the duck burn the portion was very small, and we both had the same potatoes which was not crispy and the hollandaise sauce on it was ok. It was also $35 which made us have higher expectations. My husband had Huervos Rancheros which looked good, but the white beans as accompaniment was not very good. It was a lovely experience nonetheless.
One of the best Mother’s Day brunches ever!
We had Mother’s Day lunch here. The space is beautiful with high ceilings and wood accents. Recommend the Kobe style mash burger with fries drizzled in truffle oil (fries were outstanding) and duck confit hash. The drink and wine menu is also quite good.
We went to the Mothers Day brunch. It was just perfect! The menu was replete with attractive options—something wonderful for every taste. The bar turns out delicious creative cocktails and the servers are attentive, professional and congenial. We wish they would do brunch periodically (once a month anyway) not just holidays.
The overall service left a lot to be desired... especially for being in the Napa/Sonoma Valley area.
Food was good and the drinks were great!
Because this was Mother's Day weekend, I expected to see a smaller selection of items on their menu plus a rushed and difference in the preparation of the meals. My kids booked (not knowingly) Spoonbar twice, once on Friday night and then again on Saturday night. They were visiting from out of town and didn't realize what they had done until they arrived. I am a local, living in downtown Healdsburg so I laughed when they told me. It was supposed to be a surprise for me because they di not want me cooking at all this past weekend. I loved it! No one minded going twice because I told them it is one of Healdsburg's great restaurants. I can only say that everything we ordered was first rate. The Cioppino dish was outstanding the first night and the Halibut was the best the second evening that any of us had in a very long time. Their outdoor dining was very nice with the firepits set around and tables distanced nicely. Hooray for Spoonbar showing off how well we take food seriously here in Sonoma County! Made me proud.
Oyster and champagne to start.
Ciopinno is excellent.
Great service and food. Lovely atmosphere for all types of groups. Staff were great knowing we came as a family (with kids). But setting is also very romantic and lovely for couples as well (as we'll likely be back sans children!).
Great dinner, beautiful setting and delicious food.
Awesome service! We liked it so much we came back two days later!
Food and service was amazing! Thank you, Tom & Pancho!!!
I have always loved Spoonbar! While certainly expensive enough to be reserved for special occasions, the food and ambiance is always exactly what I want (or better!). The cocktails are wonderful, and wine selection is great, and seriously – the food. Is. Amazing. (Hats off to Chefs Tom and Pancho!) I got the “Seafood Sunday” mussels and frites this last time and it was so good I was sad to finish it.
The setting is lovely and open-concept. We sat indoors at the back of the restaurant after enjoying a pre-dinner cocktail at the front bar; the walls were opened up to the outside so it was like sitting on the most luxurious patio. A warm breeze blew in, you could watch the trees rustling, people softly chattering all around. No loud echoing noises, no harsh sun, no claustrophobia. I look forward to going back!
Everything was wonderful! We think the food has gotten better and better, the service and ambiance have always been excellent. We went for the “seafood Sunday” menu—delicious and a great value!
Seafood Sunday on the back patio was very nice. Good food, and service, quiet pretty setting.
This is our favorite Healdsburg restaurant! The Sunday fish special on May 2 was outstanding! We will be back very soon ! Great service and nice ambiance in and out !
High expectations were not met. Half the food was very good; half was adequate. Service was underwhelming. Cocktails and wine was excellent. Birthday was not acknowledged. We’re locals so will probably give them a second try. For right now, we’d recommend folks stop for a cocktail and move on.
Fun atmosphere! Exquisite food. I loved the duck entree. We will return.
Food was great! Drinks were great. Service was terrible.
The food was mediocre for Healdsburg standards. Not memorable at all in a small town with many memorable options. Seating is great when you are on the back patio, but just ok when you are next to the street. The wine list for being in the middle of the wine country is shameful. Cocktail options are better. Service was mediocre too. Young and sweet but very inexperienced with no sophistication. There is lots of improvement possible, but no one takes charge. Kudos to the nice back patio. Too bad for you though if you are seated somewhere else. The food or wine alone is not the reason to come. Great atmosphere for cocktails among friends. Always request a back patio table.
The food is fantastic. We had Mary's chicken (a work of art) and the cioppino. Would definitely go back and recommend you give them a try.
We ordered the Sunday Seafood Special, prawn cocktail, lobster risotto and tiramisu. Everything was scrumptious and the service was friendly and efficient. We'll be back!
Excellent! So fun- I love the back patio!! The food & service was excellent
The food wasn’t as good as I remember overall. A couple of the dishes went uneaten. But a couple were excellent. So inconsistent.
A bit chilly, but understandable due to COVID restrictions and keeping doors open. Food was great. Fun cocktails.
It was lovely and the food was very good! Thank you for being so accommodating!
Food was adequate. Service terrible. Waited an hour for our dinner order for indoor dining...kitchen forgot about the order. Then, when prepared, it was served unevenly, two people received their first course, then 5 minutes later two remaining people were served.
Seating outdoors was nice! Our waiter was very inattentive. Food was so-so, was expecting "wow" on the fried chicken special and it was dry and tasted like it'd been cooked long before and just kept warm :(
Great Food! Great views on patio! Service was good, but slow (expected as everyone gets opened back up). We had to wait quite awhile for drinks and ask several times to get our heater turned on, but they were always super friendly.
The cocktails were beautiful and delicious, and the food was also great! I had the chicken and they were able to do it without bacon for me. Really enjoyed the dish! My dad got the crab ciopinno and said it was really good, and my boyfriend said the burger was great as well.
As usual, Spoonbar delivered a great menu, good food and service and an enjoyable dining experience. The bar was very busy so drink service was slow; however, the wait staff kept us informed and effectively managed the situation. Spoonbar continues to be one of my favorite go too restaurants in Healdsburg.
the food was outstanding. everyone’s dish was delicious!!!
The servers were kind and the ambience is wonderful and they did a great job with the lighting and the fire pits.
That said, we had ordered a few appetizers and asked them to pace it out so we didn't get them all at once; the server said "of course" and then brought all the appetizers and our salad all at the same time.
The olives were old and soft. The asparagus was over cooked. The fish was underwhelming. The burger was very good.
ordered sashimi salad and couldn't swallow the first bite. NEVER had worse fish. the rest of the food was just blah! uninspired, tasteless and greasy. service was poor. didn't enjoy a thing.
Great spot to relax and enjoy good food and ambiance -
Excellent food and presentation. Limited wine selection by glass
The beet salad was mostly beets which is very unusual. There were several varieties all cut into nice portions with very little endive. It had a nice dressing. The truffle fries were slim, crusty, and not overloaded with too much salt. I had a glass of Zinfandel wine that was delicious. Because of the pandemic, they see many people outside. The ambience outside leaves room for improvement. Overall a nice casual eatery
