Spoonbar - h2hotel
Freeform tables made from reclaimed acacia surround a long, communal table crafted from a split tree. Splashes of color—from the turquoise Eames chairs to the golden floral three dimensional wall art—brighten the open space like dappled sunshine filtering through summer leaves. On warm days and evenings the restaurant’s Cantina doors open up to sidewalk dining.

Sitting outside on a pleasant night was wonderful. Food fabulous!
Our sever and patio table were perfect. The food was very bland and under seasoned. We had corn and zucchini risotto and papadella with short rib ragout. The dessert of beignets with blackberry sauce was delicious.
Love the ambiance and the meals, but, when full of diners you pretty much have to scream over the larger tables.
Celebrating my moms bday. Food and service was amazing. The restaurant itself is beautiful as well
Bread was amazing. The Cocktail was strong
Service was great.
Wonderful food in a casual, but stylish setting. The risotto and cioppino were both excellent.
The service here was great but the food seemed overpriced and full of itself. Really good interesting cocktails.
Your bill at Spoonbar now includes a "BOH" (back of house) fee (a fixed percentage of the price of the food and beverage you order) which goes to kitchen staff. Now I want kitchen staff to earn a living wage no less than servers, etc. but (a) I had to ask for an explanation of this charge...it wasn't offered on the menu or by our server and (b) there was no offer to remove the charge (as some restaurants do) when I inquired about this unexplained charge. There's just no way around the fact that if you're accustomed to tipping X% on your food and beverage charges, this ends up being an extra Y% you are "forced" to pay. That said, the cioppino was huge and full of seafood in a tasty broth ($36). Corkage is free on Sonoma County wines.
LOVE the Spoonbar! The food is excellent!!! Went there with family and friends and we had such a great time!! The wait staff could not have been nicer; the drinks were delicious, and the food was out of this world! I had the trout and it was amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!!!
The service as a little slow. We had a theater date and had to remind the waiter to bring the main as we were running out of time. We had told him we had a time limitation.
Great place to catch up with your girlfriends over cocktails, wine and delicious food. The risotto was amazing.
We were staying at the h2hotel so we went for our first night in town. Really nice food. Service disrupted by a large table nearby. Great wine and cocktail list. Overall a good place for dinner.
The pre fixed was off the charts good and so much food. Thanks Matt
I liked Spoonbar a lot. I was a bit apprehensive after mixed reviews about service especially but our service experience was top notch. The food was very good. The appetizers were tasty. My husband thought he was getting a plate of ribs instead of 4 for an appetizer but I thought the size was just right. It’s not a plate of ribs kind of place. We ordered the risotto andI am a complete risotto snob. Most restaurant risottos do not meet my standards but Spoonbar’s did. The rice was perfect and saucy and creamy with strong flavors. The Duck confit was delicious. We loved that the restaurant waives the corkage fee for local wines. Dessert was perfectly made beignets. We could hear each other talk and I liked how the restaurant was open to the street. Yes Spoonbar is a little pricey but not ridiculously so. I would go back for sure.
We were seated outside - lovely!!!! Good was terrific but server forgot one appetizer and was not too attentive given that the restaurant was not too busy
We were seated next to the band, so it got a little loud. The band was a two man country band; they were really good! The food was spectacular! I had the fried chicken and my girlfriend got the ribs. We split a wedge salad which was really well thought out. Not just a regular blah wedge, it had all kinds of good things mixed in and the dressing tasted like a blend of ranch and bleu cheese. That was tasty!
We checked in with the hostess who later became our waitress. Admittedly, we were a few minutes early (for our reservation) and she told us we would have to wait. We waited about 10 or 15 minutes so I checked in with another person who got us seated. We went next to the band which was a lot of fun! The band was really cool. Old style country look who played really upbeat country music. They were great! We got water but it took us quite while to put in our food order. Our waitress asked if she could bring the bead and salad at the same time; I said sure. The salad came (which was fabulous) but the bread didn’t. I asked the waitress if I had forgotten to order the bread and she said she would check on it. It came about five minutes later. Oh the bread was great too! The oil and butter they served with the bread was kind of a hypnotic pair.
Overall, the experience was magnificent with a couple minor blips. Life would be no fun if you didn’t have a few things to work on! Anyways, my girlfriend thinks I’m super smart for getting us in at Spoonbar (I hope she never finds out the truth about me). Thanks Spoonbar! Had a blast!
Service seemed young and inexperienced though very nice - tried to rush order. Tuna tartare was excellent. Gem salad was excellent. Flavor of and Portions for fried chicken were excellent. Short rib pasta also excellent. Would definitely recommend and return.
Spoonbar is a luxurious place. We greatly enjoyed our mock-tail mint julip, brussel sprouts without the parmesan and prawns.
For our mains we chose the ribs and trout. Both were cooked to perfection! Tender, crispy in the correct places and succulent.
Please enjoy Spoonbar!!
Spoon bar is always delicious, fun with great wait staff. I highly recommend it!
We went to Spoonbar for Fried Chicken Wednesday, and it was absolutely delicious! We also shared the focaccia and Brussels sprouts. The ambiance is nice and relaxing and it is such a beautiful restaurant to eat in - and the service was just so friendly and welcoming - one of my favorite places to eat in Healdsburg.
Big airy room. Bar with TV. Food very good. The crispy duck confit excellent. Better than the same dish at Barndiva. Asparagus and mushroom risotto very good. Desserts disappointing, but that seems to be the norm at the restaurants we tried. Service excellent. It wasn’t busy when we went ... also a hotel. The lobby in the back of the restaurant looks like something from “Aladdin.” I would go back.
The kind of empty that you feel silly for make a reservation.
Service was okay. Everyone was nice. Flavors were fresh but expensive.
Will be back! Creative cuisine and very tasty and fresh!well done!
Birthday for my GF
We enjoyed our visit to spoonbar. The cocktails were unusual and delicious. We had both of the pasta dishes, a side of beets and a burger. The side was large enough to share and really tasty. Everything was seasoned well, but not overdone. The burger was just right. Personally, I don't like truffle fries, so I think that should be an option. Very efficient and kind wait staff too.
I have dined here three times now. Two out of the three times the service could have been better. Overall the food is good and it is one of the few places you can dine and actually hear your table mates. I ordered bread they called focaccia, but it was just white bread that had been toasted on the grill. It didn't seem to have been made with olive oil at all. The last time I ate salmon there it came with mashed potatoes. When I asked for that I was told they would have to charge me extra. Really? For what amounted to a quarter cup of potatoes.
We enjoyed the new outdoor patio setting, as did our young well-behaved dog. The staff welcomed her with a water bowl and we felt we were appreciated as guests. The chef came to our table to discuss with my adult daughter her multiple food allergies/intolerances, saying that he wanted her to have a positive experience. He went above and beyond and delivered phenomenally. She said the trout was delicious. The cioppino was thoroughly enjoyed, it being exceptionally flavorful and the seafood perfectly cooked. Excellent craft cocktails. We'll be back.
I was hoping for great food from here. I had heard they got a new chef. Service was slow. Food was ok but not as good as most of the places in town.
Great food and excellent, attentive service. Only downside was the unseasonable weather that made us get soaked on the way.
Very very good service /excellent staff. Moms day brunch that was a well executed menu and experience.
I ordered ceviche and was served one shrimp that smelled fishy, my main meal was undercooked, the desserts they offered on Mother’s Day were mediocre at best. This place has really gone down hill. I so regret spending my Mother’s Day there.
Quiet on a Tuesday night. Duck comf
Had trouble making last minute weekend dinner reservation. They had space. Decent food. Options worked for those wanting an entree or just satisfying small plates/appetizers. A bit heavy on the dressing for the salad. Since it was so large, took a while to eat and the last third was soggy. Good wine and beer list.
This was a nice first dinner for weekend reunion of old friends. Food is fresh and tasty. Open area is a bit noisy but wasn’t too crowded. Will return.
My friend and I had a lovely dinner at Spoonbar. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I'm a local, and Spoonbar is one of our go-to restaurants. Considering all the high end restaurants in Sonoma County, that's a real compliment!
Nice restaurant, opened and big large windows. Great food and service
Spoonbar has excellent food and service. They can accommodate large parties, so the atmosphere can be quite "festive" on the weekends. If you don't like the noise, go during the week, especially Wednesday for the fried chicken.
Modern eco decor. Food was fresh and delicious. Service was attentive.
Lovely dinner! Every course was beautifully prepared. We’ll be back!
We finally made it to Fried Chicken Wednesday and it met our high expectations completely. Very generous portions - enough for another dinner, and it was great cold, too! Grilled artichoke was done perfectly, not tough and woody as with other restaurants we've tried. Great drinks to start, very cordial service throughout.
