Spoonbar - h2hotel
Freeform tables made from reclaimed acacia surround a long, communal table crafted from a split tree. Splashes of color—from the turquoise Eames chairs to the golden floral three dimensional wall art—brighten the open space like dappled sunshine filtering through summer leaves. On warm days and evenings the restaurant’s Cantina doors open up to sidewalk dining.

Spoonbar has excellent food and service. They can accommodate large parties, so the atmosphere can be quite "festive" on the weekends. If you don't like the noise, go during the week, especially Wednesday for the fried chicken.
Modern eco decor. Food was fresh and delicious. Service was attentive.
Lovely dinner! Every course was beautifully prepared. We’ll be back!
We finally made it to Fried Chicken Wednesday and it met our high expectations completely. Very generous portions - enough for another dinner, and it was great cold, too! Grilled artichoke was done perfectly, not tough and woody as with other restaurants we've tried. Great drinks to start, very cordial service throughout.
The restaurant has reached consistently high quality. We done there often. The branzino was especially good as were the oysters.
Very impressed with the quality of food and service. The restaurant and bar fit perfectly into this millennial style hotel. Two customers tat turned out to be owners made a point of asking us how we liked it. Everyone in the hotel AND restaurant was professional and friendly.
This was the third time we have eaten here. This time was a bit disappointing. On the positive side the tuna sashimi appetizer was delicious.
My husband had the burger and although the flavors were good, the burger was tiny. I had the cioppino, seafood and portion was very good however the sauce/broth lacked seasoning/flavor. Perhaps it was an off day.
Incredible food and incredible service!
Our service was terrible. We waited for ever to get a drink and also for any of our food. I usually don't mind waiting if sitting at the bar - but at a table - we got no attention and could not find our server most of the night .
Nice open interior with supportive staff. The menu was appetizing and encouraging. The food execution however was good but not more than that. As an example they recommend a fried chicken special on Weds.. Glad to oblige but the dish was truly a decent but of fried chicken. No exceptional flavors, coating or presentation. Granted the portion was quite ample which was a nice surprise. The string beans and small potato accoutrements were just not very interesting. Same would be said of their artichoke. Ample portion and perfectly cleaned , yet the flavors and combinations of ingredients were fair. I will add the staff was quite professional- mindful of that balance of providing needs as well as being absent when appropriate. I will go again to try other dishes - one of the guests did comment the branzino was particularly good - the presentation was really nice and of particular note was the very crispy skin( yea) while still preserving fresh and moist meat.
We ordered from the restaurant week tasting menu so we got to experience several different dishes. The food and drinks were delicious, but the server made the experience that much better. He was enthusiastic, friendly and delightful!
Lynn ordered the tasting menu (ribs, yellow fin....) and it was excellent. I ordered the lobster ravioli and it was OK. The pasta seemed to be a little undercooked (it was chewy) but perhaps that was their intention. Service was Ok, it took a while to get our bottle of wine and the entree's were served shortly after we had received our appetizer...so timing was a little off. But all in all the restaurant was Ok, and I'd give them a second chance.
We all really enjoyed the evening and had a very good meal.
Well, nothing like having your basic 3 hour dinner and what a delight it was. I was treating a friend and we had a lot of catching up to do and our waiter, Jason, was most accommodating in holding our dinner order until we were ready to eat. The food was great and as a resident of Sonoma Co. the corkage fee was waived for my bottle of Sonoma County wine. I will return. Thank you Spoon Bar.
Here for Restaurant Week with old friends. Great times & great food!
Food was great. Service was on point. Everyone was friendly.
We participated in Sonoma County's Restaurant Week with dinner at this lovely restaurant in Healdsburg. No complaints whatsoever. Food was excellent, ambience great and service outstanding!
Healdsburg Restaurant Week, interesting 3 course prix fixe menus for a great value and experience.
I loved the flavors and the quality was top notch. My only wish was a touch more to the portion sizes. That is my ONLY criticism.
This was our first visit there and it was a delicious meal we will definitely go back.
Ambiance: cool, hip space with a good buzz, but not too loud
Service: fantastic, waiter was attentive throughout the night, stopped by when needed to check in
Food: awesome, the tuna tartare and cauliflower soup were light and delish; the ciappino and shortribs were intensely flavorful, beignets were sweet and a good way to cap off the meal.
We'll be back.
Delicious. Fixed price menu for restaurant week was a great deal.
Dinner for 4 on a Saturday night. Bread and olives served right away, it took a while for the waiter to take our order. Food was ordinary, fish was bland without seasoning.
Spoonbar has become my “go to” choice for dining in Healdsburg. Excellent food and first rate service. Great menu that provides variety and options for all types of diners. Solid wine list—the waiter recommended the perfect wine pairings for our menu selections. Overall, another great evening at Spoonbar!
As usual, food, service and ambience was outstanding. This is one of my favorite restaurants. Not pretentious, but high level of service without being intrusive. They just take good care of you! Love this place!!!
We had an amazing meal at Spoonbar! The service was on point and each dish we had was incredible and prepared perfectly. The ambiance was nice and our waiter brought out a special birthday dessert at the end of our meal. We stayed a long time (probably too long) and never felt rushed to leave. We would absolutely recommend to a friend and hope to dine again on our next visit to Healdsburg:)
We ate at three restaurants in Healdsburg this weekend. Spoonbar was the most expensive and disappointing. Service was slow and food was drowning in sauce or dressing.
Second visit, went back because first visit was very good. This trip was double down Awesome! Meals were excellent, had to get take home containers 😬. We requested Jason as our server, & for the second time he was outstanding. Going back & taking friends on our next trip in June.
surprisingly lovely dinner with perfect servers and other guests to chat with ....
The food was good as usual but the service was seriously lacking. I had to ask for my drinks multiple times, our entrees were dropped at different times (easily 5 minutes apart), I didn't get my drink that was part of my dessert until I was almost done with the desert (i could go on). I realize it was a saturday night during the rush but I've been involved with and worked for many high end hospitality/restaurant situations and for a 200+ dollar meal for 3 people the service should be much better.
The food is good. It is a nice place to just drop in and dine. There are several better places in the area if you are going to make a reservation.
Excellent staff and service!!!
Bravo to Chef Matt for bringing the food experience back up to where it should be for the town of Healdsburg!!!!
Will be back soon!
Seated at our reservation time and enjoyed a lovely meal, enjoying all our entrees, including ravioli, cioppino, halibut. Desserts were great, too. The little coffee drink that came with mine was absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and professional. All in all, just a lovely evening!
We were disappointed with the quality of the food. It was fair. The service was good and the atmosphere hip.
Jason was super
Helpful in deciding what we should eat
Food was tasty
Wine was pricey..but really what did we expect
all in all Jason made our 1st night out in Healdsburg a fantastic evening
and you didn't ask but the staff in the morning at breakfast was also super efficient...and the scramble was really delicious
The food was all delicious from the cauliflower soup to the spare rib dinner and beignets. My husband had the three course dinner for $36 and was amazed at how delicious and plentiful the main and salad were. I would've given a 5 star if the cauliflower soup had had more than just the 7-8 spoonfuls of soup....I felt cheated. I also wish they served bread with the dinners as the absolutely yummy sauce from my spare rib dinner had to be left on my plate with no bread to dip into it. Our waiter was most attentive and knowledgeable.
Great food and service.
best short rib we have ever had anywhere - fun vibe in the restaurant
We hadn’t been to Spoonbar for several years. Our meal was excellent. We will return soon.
