Spoonbar - h2hotel
Freeform tables made from reclaimed acacia surround a long, communal table crafted from a split tree. Splashes of color—from the turquoise Eames chairs to the golden floral three dimensional wall art—brighten the open space like dappled sunshine filtering through summer leaves. On warm days and evenings the restaurant’s Cantina doors open up to sidewalk dining.

We went to Spoonbar for Fried Chicken Wednesday, and it was absolutely delicious! We also shared the focaccia and Brussels sprouts. The ambiance is nice and relaxing and it is such a beautiful restaurant to eat in - and the service was just so friendly and welcoming - one of my favorite places to eat in Healdsburg.
Big airy room. Bar with TV. Food very good. The crispy duck confit excellent. Better than the same dish at Barndiva. Asparagus and mushroom risotto very good. Desserts disappointing, but that seems to be the norm at the restaurants we tried. Service excellent. It wasn’t busy when we went ... also a hotel. The lobby in the back of the restaurant looks like something from “Aladdin.” I would go back.
The kind of empty that you feel silly for make a reservation.
Service was okay. Everyone was nice. Flavors were fresh but expensive.
Will be back! Creative cuisine and very tasty and fresh!well done!
Birthday for my GF
We enjoyed our visit to spoonbar. The cocktails were unusual and delicious. We had both of the pasta dishes, a side of beets and a burger. The side was large enough to share and really tasty. Everything was seasoned well, but not overdone. The burger was just right. Personally, I don't like truffle fries, so I think that should be an option. Very efficient and kind wait staff too.
I have dined here three times now. Two out of the three times the service could have been better. Overall the food is good and it is one of the few places you can dine and actually hear your table mates. I ordered bread they called focaccia, but it was just white bread that had been toasted on the grill. It didn't seem to have been made with olive oil at all. The last time I ate salmon there it came with mashed potatoes. When I asked for that I was told they would have to charge me extra. Really? For what amounted to a quarter cup of potatoes.
We enjoyed the new outdoor patio setting, as did our young well-behaved dog. The staff welcomed her with a water bowl and we felt we were appreciated as guests. The chef came to our table to discuss with my adult daughter her multiple food allergies/intolerances, saying that he wanted her to have a positive experience. He went above and beyond and delivered phenomenally. She said the trout was delicious. The cioppino was thoroughly enjoyed, it being exceptionally flavorful and the seafood perfectly cooked. Excellent craft cocktails. We'll be back.
I was hoping for great food from here. I had heard they got a new chef. Service was slow. Food was ok but not as good as most of the places in town.
Great food and excellent, attentive service. Only downside was the unseasonable weather that made us get soaked on the way.
Very very good service /excellent staff. Moms day brunch that was a well executed menu and experience.
I ordered ceviche and was served one shrimp that smelled fishy, my main meal was undercooked, the desserts they offered on Mother’s Day were mediocre at best. This place has really gone down hill. I so regret spending my Mother’s Day there.
Quiet on a Tuesday night. Duck comf
Had trouble making last minute weekend dinner reservation. They had space. Decent food. Options worked for those wanting an entree or just satisfying small plates/appetizers. A bit heavy on the dressing for the salad. Since it was so large, took a while to eat and the last third was soggy. Good wine and beer list.
This was a nice first dinner for weekend reunion of old friends. Food is fresh and tasty. Open area is a bit noisy but wasn’t too crowded. Will return.
My friend and I had a lovely dinner at Spoonbar. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I'm a local, and Spoonbar is one of our go-to restaurants. Considering all the high end restaurants in Sonoma County, that's a real compliment!
Nice restaurant, opened and big large windows. Great food and service
Spoonbar has excellent food and service. They can accommodate large parties, so the atmosphere can be quite "festive" on the weekends. If you don't like the noise, go during the week, especially Wednesday for the fried chicken.
Modern eco decor. Food was fresh and delicious. Service was attentive.
Lovely dinner! Every course was beautifully prepared. We’ll be back!
We finally made it to Fried Chicken Wednesday and it met our high expectations completely. Very generous portions - enough for another dinner, and it was great cold, too! Grilled artichoke was done perfectly, not tough and woody as with other restaurants we've tried. Great drinks to start, very cordial service throughout.
The restaurant has reached consistently high quality. We done there often. The branzino was especially good as were the oysters.
Very impressed with the quality of food and service. The restaurant and bar fit perfectly into this millennial style hotel. Two customers tat turned out to be owners made a point of asking us how we liked it. Everyone in the hotel AND restaurant was professional and friendly.
This was the third time we have eaten here. This time was a bit disappointing. On the positive side the tuna sashimi appetizer was delicious.
My husband had the burger and although the flavors were good, the burger was tiny. I had the cioppino, seafood and portion was very good however the sauce/broth lacked seasoning/flavor. Perhaps it was an off day.
Incredible food and incredible service!
Our service was terrible. We waited for ever to get a drink and also for any of our food. I usually don't mind waiting if sitting at the bar - but at a table - we got no attention and could not find our server most of the night .
Nice open interior with supportive staff. The menu was appetizing and encouraging. The food execution however was good but not more than that. As an example they recommend a fried chicken special on Weds.. Glad to oblige but the dish was truly a decent but of fried chicken. No exceptional flavors, coating or presentation. Granted the portion was quite ample which was a nice surprise. The string beans and small potato accoutrements were just not very interesting. Same would be said of their artichoke. Ample portion and perfectly cleaned , yet the flavors and combinations of ingredients were fair. I will add the staff was quite professional- mindful of that balance of providing needs as well as being absent when appropriate. I will go again to try other dishes - one of the guests did comment the branzino was particularly good - the presentation was really nice and of particular note was the very crispy skin( yea) while still preserving fresh and moist meat.
We ordered from the restaurant week tasting menu so we got to experience several different dishes. The food and drinks were delicious, but the server made the experience that much better. He was enthusiastic, friendly and delightful!
Lynn ordered the tasting menu (ribs, yellow fin....) and it was excellent. I ordered the lobster ravioli and it was OK. The pasta seemed to be a little undercooked (it was chewy) but perhaps that was their intention. Service was Ok, it took a while to get our bottle of wine and the entree's were served shortly after we had received our appetizer...so timing was a little off. But all in all the restaurant was Ok, and I'd give them a second chance.
We all really enjoyed the evening and had a very good meal.
Well, nothing like having your basic 3 hour dinner and what a delight it was. I was treating a friend and we had a lot of catching up to do and our waiter, Jason, was most accommodating in holding our dinner order until we were ready to eat. The food was great and as a resident of Sonoma Co. the corkage fee was waived for my bottle of Sonoma County wine. I will return. Thank you Spoon Bar.
Here for Restaurant Week with old friends. Great times & great food!
Food was great. Service was on point. Everyone was friendly.
We participated in Sonoma County's Restaurant Week with dinner at this lovely restaurant in Healdsburg. No complaints whatsoever. Food was excellent, ambience great and service outstanding!
Healdsburg Restaurant Week, interesting 3 course prix fixe menus for a great value and experience.
I loved the flavors and the quality was top notch. My only wish was a touch more to the portion sizes. That is my ONLY criticism.
This was our first visit there and it was a delicious meal we will definitely go back.
Ambiance: cool, hip space with a good buzz, but not too loud
Service: fantastic, waiter was attentive throughout the night, stopped by when needed to check in
Food: awesome, the tuna tartare and cauliflower soup were light and delish; the ciappino and shortribs were intensely flavorful, beignets were sweet and a good way to cap off the meal.
We'll be back.
Delicious. Fixed price menu for restaurant week was a great deal.
Dinner for 4 on a Saturday night. Bread and olives served right away, it took a while for the waiter to take our order. Food was ordinary, fish was bland without seasoning.
