Tables are too close for the noise level. Music needs to be louder maybe? Very annoying hearing every conversation near us.

First trip to Spoon and it was worth the visit. My first impression was the servers where very attentive and did a fantastic job throughout our meal.

We each got an app and an entree. The Blue Cheese soufflé was very good, I was expecting more blue cheese presence in the dish but the flavors worked well together in the dish. My wife got the Korean Beef app which we both enjoyed greatly.

Our entrees we both very good. I would recommend the pork dish, the duo of pork shoulder and crispy pork belly is a favorite of mine.

The drink menu has several interesting house cocktails and the wine list is strong. They do a nice job of featuring unique wines by the glass you won’t see at other establishments in the area.

My fiance and I try to make it to a new restaurant every month. This month we tried Spoon. We started out with the Carrot Pierogi and Korean BBQ appetizer. Both were great, but we seem to favor the Pierogi the most. My fiance had the swordfish and I the filet. Both were cooked perfectly, delicious, and were more than enough, as far as portion size goes. We were told that we had to try the Spoon Burger, so we got that as well. It was good, but not as great as the other two entrees. We ended up with two appetizers and three entrees and it just put us over the $100 mark. I would recommend to anybody looking to try a new restaurant!

Visiting daughter in Pittsburgh. Love the shadyside area. This is a great restaurant food and ambiance. Warm and inviting on a very very cold day in the Burgh. Food was very good. My daughter and I had the swordfish and the guys enjoyed the chicken and Pork Loin. Also has valet parking. Can’t wait to come visit in the summer and try it again.

Delicious food! Service is not exceptional, lighting is a bit bright. However, food
selections and presentation are excellent.

I was expecting more from this restaurant. It was disappointing. The food was not hot and the flank steak was not as tender as it should have been. The bourbon list was disappointing as well. They seem to be very Gin focused - they have an entire menu for Gin and Gin drinks - looked good, but we were in the mood for Old Fashions, didn't order them. The Ice Cream was delicious - toasted marshmallow :)

Gluten free options. Personable and professional service. Quality inventive modern American food. Particularly enjoyed the roasted cauliflower, pistachio brittle in the salad and the coffee rubbed flank steak. Nice cocktail, wine by the glass and beer selections. Comfortable ambiance suitable for a special occasion.

We've been to Spoon twice. The first time, the food and service were excellent. The second, the waitress was mediocre and two of the four of us weren't very satisfied with our entrees.

It was good.....Thought the food was creative (carrot & pork stuffed perigoi) and well presented. Portions are not small. Service was attentive and they have a pretty good wine list. I would recommend going!

We have been to Spoon before, but our server really raised the bar. She was exceptional and did a fabulous job. Always ready to answer questions, knowledgeable about the menu items, checking back frequently, even escorted me to the ladies room. Couldn't have asked for better service. And the food was great, too!

We are former residents of Pittsburgh visiting our adult daughter for her birthday and chose Spoon. Staff accommodated our request to bring our own cake. They even cut, plated it and served it and did not charge a plating fee. They were also able to accommodate special dietary preferences and a fairly late evening reservation. Their first impression is great!

This highly rated Pittsburgh restaurant lived entirely up to its reputation. This is foody food plus just very good high quality dining. The new pork dish was fantastic as was the appetizer souffle. We did not try the four dish dining for the table but it looked excellent.

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. The food was delicious and the wait staff was attentive. We mentioned it was our anniversary dinner and they went out of their way by writing Happy Anniversary on our dessert plate in chocolate and gorgeous handwriting. It was a very special touch that we really appreciated.

Last visit several years ago. Wanted to check out the remodel and new menu. The place reminded me of upscale cafe rather than a fine dining establishment. Strangely it seemed a little worn already. Had a great seat by the window but the frame needed painting or mold removed. I couldn’t tell which. The evening we were there it seemed to be overflow for the burgher place next door. Most people near us were ordering the burgher. Not a great sign.
Valet is a nice service and is reasonable.
The food was good. The blue cheese soufflé was incredible. The scallops were enjoyed by my wife and my hangar steak was good but served luke warm. There are many better options in Pittsburgh. Acacia for one.

This was a random pick based of off Open Table reviews. And my expectations were met. Food was outstanding, service seemed a bit off despite not being very busy, ambiance was a bit to much light which was also a bit odd. BUT the food was amazing! I will be back.

Service was friendly but not overbearing. Food was wonderful - surprising yet subtle flavor combinations. Everything was very well prepared. We ordered one of each - snapper, steak, chicken and pork so that we could try as much as possible. Nothing disappointed. The only thing off the mark was the macaron dessert (melting sorbet drowned the macarons), but the flourless chocolate cake was the best any of us had ever had. Highly recommend Spoon, especially for a special occasion.
