Husband was in town for convention and I drove in for the night for our anniversary. Bill, our server was awesome. The cocktails, the appetizers, the entrees, the desserts, everything was amazing. My husband found the restaurant and I made the reservation through Open Table. I put in a note requesting a nice table and mentioned it was our anniversary and even though we arrived early they picked up on that note. It was an anniversary we will both remember for years to come! I think this may be my first review but I couldn't let the opportunity pass. If we are ever back in town we will definitely be back! Come open one in Louisville!

The restaurant seated us in a private room that made our ladies evening extra special. Mary was extremely hospitable and gave us great recommendations on drinks and food. We had an amazing time and will definitely book this place again!

I had dinner with my wife and 3 other couples recently at S&S, unfortunately, we only liked about 1/2 the dishes. The charcuterie board was basic, but solid. The pork chop was rated as very good by those who had it. Scallops were a miss. Steak Frites were over salted.

We had been there when it had been Canterbury & we wanted to see how the new restaurant was. We had enjoyed the Canterbury because of its intimate atmosphere & classic food

Not crazy about the new atmosphere, but our server was fantastic. My husband’s ravioli was excellent. Unfortunately I can’t say that about the short rib & noodles. The flavor was great but the noodles were unevenly cooked & there was very little meat. The onion “garnish “ was limp & bland

We will give it another try though

Great restaurant in Indy. I enjoyed the fresh tasty food. All prepared perfectly to enhance the flavor of the meats, not cover it. The barkeep is a wizard with creating cocktails, and the drinks are delicious. Cheers.

The service was quite slow. There were 3 of us for lunch and we were there for almost 2 hours. We were not in a hurry, but service level could have been better.

I made a reservation here for Mother’s Day for a large party (9) of out-of-towners. They accommodated us perfectly. We sat in the “living room” at one of their long tables, so we felt like we had a very private space. Beautifully decorated, unique atmosphere. Great menu and ingredients. 3/4 of our group ordered the hash brown chilaquiles at the server’s recommendation and loved it. My family was raving after we left. Great for brunch, and will definitely be returning for dinner.

It was awful too loud too much spice on the food couldn’t taste the food only spices scallops were hard and rubbery and they were out of 3 of their specialty drinks won’t go back

Our experience was so warm and inviting. We had a sever named Bailey, she did an outstanding job. Not making us feel rushed and made the night very smooth. Chef Simpson also went out of his way to make sure that everyone was happy. I am more than happy with making the drive again. Thank you!

Had been wanting to try this place so made reservations for my birthday - disappointing to say the least. Pagenaud's steak frites was tough and grisly & fries were cold. Beef and noodles - cold. Burger was pretty greasy and cocktails were watery. Best part of the meal was the meat and cheese board.

Food was excellent and our server was fantastic. They only hiccup was we had 7:15 reservations and wasn't seated until 7:45. However, the hostess told us our table was about to check out on time but decided on dessert. Despite being seated half hour after reservation, hostess was good about keeping us updated on the expected time to be seated. Since we were under a time crunch (9:00 show at the Circle Theatre), the server was great about getting our drinks, appetizers, salads, entrees and check all within an hour so that we were not late for our show. The only suggestion that would have made the experience great would have either received a complementary drink from the bar while we waited or had something from our order taken off the bill. Waiting in the hallway for our table to be ready was awkward and a drink would have made the half hour not be as long.

The bar is a great experience. Bartender listened to what we like and made drinks that we loved. He was very attentive and answered all of our questions. Food was very good. Get the nugs! Unfortunately they weren’t able to seat us for over 30 minutes after our reservation and then the service there was very poor. This ruined the whole experience for us and we probably won’t return

We weren't seated until 20 minutes after our reservation. One of our red wine orders had turned and the bartender had to taste it before a new glass was poured. The markup on the wine is outrageous. A bottle of Silverado is 24 and they were charging 18 per glass. The noise was loud, too loud to have a conversation. We were seated at a little table next to the bar. Food was good but will not return due to the other factors.

The food was good and the environment was very hipster. While we didn't order drinks, we enjoyed watching the bartenders. They are the real deal; top notch making lots of complex drinks. Not your college dive bar.
The food was excellent; wonderful presentation, came out hot and was full of complex flavors. It took about 40 minutes from the time we ordered until we got our food.
I enjoyed the experience, but for the price and quantity of the food I probably won't be back.

The food was fine. I got the steak and it was fine, but very tough and my boyfriend and I both said "if we were going to get steak, we should have just gone next door to Harry & Izzy's." He got the burger, which was also fine. Tasted great, but no better than a burger from Burger Study around the corner. Overall, fine. Too pricey for the quality.

A noticeable (time) lag from the kitchen, but not ruinously so. The food quality was very good, and the plates were attractively presented without being fussy. Service was attentive and warm. Management seemed engaged. The space for the large parties is slightly awkward in feel, but accommodating nonetheless. Overall very pleased. Will recommend and return. Thank you to everyone who spent their holiday making ours enjoyable.

We had read much about the fact that Greg Hardesty, a first-rate chef, was the consulting chef for this restaurant and that there was a new chef de cuisine, Erin, who was handling the operations so we decided to try it following a performance at the IRT. As a starter we ordered a yellow-fin tuna dish that was well prepared, but without much flavor. We then moved to our main dishes, a pan-roasted chicken breast dish for me and a salmon dish for my spouse. The chicken breast was dried out. The dish was to be accompanied by root vegetables (it was), polenta with black truffle something, and spinach and someone's special gravy. Suffice it to say that there was no hint of truffle anywhere (although there were pieces of mushroom) and the special gravy was only okay. With my spouse's salmon, the issues were much the same. Her salmon was perfectly cooked, but flavorless. In short, given what one pays for dinner there, it should have been more packed with flavor. The only two happy things were our waiter, Brandon, who is first-rate and whom we have encountered elsewhere, and our wine, a reasonably priced Italian from the Venezia region that was a refreshing mix of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio. This one, unfortunately, will not make our regular rotation.

We went for early dinner on a Sat night. Great food from starters to dessert. Wait staff was welcoming and attentive. Great setting. Will be back. Sat in the booth for 2 near bar, was cozy and gave us a view of restaurant.

Very cool space, vibrant spot, and excellent food. Our server was incredibly friendly and accommodating, provided excellent service, and was able to modify a menu item for one of our diners. The food was well prepared, nice presentation, and great quality. The only negative - we were trying to have a business conversation, and the music was too loud. Probably not a good spot for that kind of dinner, but great for dining with friends.
