The dinner and service was fabulous! They were having a somewhat slow night because of the weather. So the bartender, Jay, spoke with us about what we liked and didn't like as far as flavors and created some delicious cocktails for us throughout the evening. He was very knowledgeable and it was a fantastic experience!

When my team arrived, there were many open tables, so sat down without letting the Host know they had reservations. In doing this, I received an email that no one arrived.

Please make sure when arriving to let the Host know you had reservations, this way, when using OpenTable, you will not be "dinged" for a no show. Also, the Host should ask if they had reservations...

Ambiance was great. Cocktails were delicious. Mussels were amazing. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and the restaurant didn’t seem THAT busy, so maybe they were understaffed that evening, but I would definitely return.

Last minute reservations with my husband and daughter. The decor and atmosphere was very appealing. Our waitress Mary was delightful! She took the right amount of care into making our experience a great one! The craft cocktail I had was made with rum, scotch, citrus it sounds odd but was delicious. tart with a little smokey sweetness. We all shared a charcuterie board that was so beautiful we didn’t want to eat it. Kidding we sure did, and it was delicious. We shared mussels, which were also great but unfortunately we had to sent the first batch back as they were cold. It was unfavourable but mistakes happen and we did not let it ruin our dining experience at Spoke + Steele.

Glad to see that Jay from Open Society Public House has landed at the bar...food was good and we appreciated that some of the items could be made gluten free with a little creativity. Some of the entry's seemed to have sat for a bit (timing with others?) as they were not piping hot but overall the experience was a good one. A bit pricey (nearly $50 steak frites ;-0 for but there were some more reasonably priced items.

We were in town for a volleyball tournament and had a parent dinner. The restaurant is so beautiful and comfortable. We LOVED it. Tara, our server, was so warm and accommodating. Thanks, a great evening was had by all!!! GREAT dining experience.

Brandon was amazing and made my birthday very special. He even gave us two desserts on the house for the occasion which wasn’t expected but was very nice! We love this place and will continue stopping by when we’re in the mood for the best charcuterie board in town.

Perfect for Saturday morning brunch with friends! Our server was very friendly and attentive, and our meals were interesting and delicious. Would absolutely recommend!

My husband and I came for a date night this weekend. This is the second time we've been to Spoke and Steele and we are still on the fence about the experience. The restaurant gives off a loungy-vibe, but the noise level is WAY louder than a lounge. I'm not sure if we need to come later (around 9 p.m.) to experience a calmer atmosphere, or if this is the general noise level of the patrons. We enjoyed the food and the service was great, but we were hoping for a more laid-back relax feeling that the decor gives off. While we got our food quickly and it was all delicious, it just wasn't the vibe we were expecting. It felt like we had to yell for the server to be able to hear us and the restaurant wasn't completely full. Maybe next time, we'll book later in hopes of a more-relaxed experience... I will say that it is difficult to book a late reservation with a babysitter taking care of our littles for a specific timeframe at night.

Okay, okay. We all know St. Elmo’s is a culinary landmark. BUT DO NOT MISS their boutique next door neighbor! Spoke & Steele is right there with the best Indy has to offer, with service that rivals the first-class menu and creative drink selections. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

We had dinner on Saturday and Brunch on Sunday both meals were excellent. Service was wonderful. The entire experience was wonderful.

Brandon was a fabulous server and took great care of us. Food was absolutely delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The only reason why this didn't get five stars is that I ordered a chocolate eclair for dessert which is seasonal and even though Brandon made me aware that it was not made in-house, he said it was provided by a local bakery. Unfortunately, the dessert was not fresh and was obviously frozen as it tasted like freezer burn. It was not good at all and I did not eat it. I did not say anything to Brandon as I did not want to make a big deal of it in front of my client that I was having dinner with. I would recommend ordering desserts that are made in-house as my client and the other person I was with ordered the bread pudding along with the Death by Chocolate, both said they were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!

One of the worst experiences I've received from indy.

Lovely atmosphere with excellent service. Our server was quite pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. This was our first time dining at Spoke and Steele and we will be back as will the couple who joined us

They were so nice and accommodating! I called ahead and asked if they could leave a not on the table for my wife since we were going on a special date, and they did, and it was perfect!

The ambience was great, the service prompt and friendly, and the food was incredible. We are from Texas, where I thought we did steak the best, but I was mistaken, because the special they offered for the evening, Prime rib, was cooked medium rare to perfection and mouth wateringly good! Truly the best steak I've ever had from a restaurant. The sides and appetizer were also equally top notch, and our Old Fashioned cocktails were perfect.

We will definitely return here when we are back in Indianapolis and would highly recommend this place to others!

Spoke & Steele is the best Indy brunch spot you’ve never considered for brunch. Whenever I get to pick where we’re brunching, it’s Spoke & Steele.

The food is outstanding. (My favorite is the hashbrown chilaquiles — ask for their barrel-aged hot sauce on the side.)

The service is always a little slower than you’d expect, but the servers are friendly and knowledgeable.

The location is great, and if you can’t find street parking, you can use the Circle Centre garage on the other side of Illinois.

I’m reluctant to say more very positive stuff — there’s plenty more to say, but I don’t want my favorite brunch place to get overcrowded! :) But seriously, it’s really great, and you should give it a try.

Wow! The most outstanding, kind and professional service we have ever had dining in Indianapolis (and yes, we have been to St. Elmo’s and Prime47). Mary was our server. It was my husband’s birthday and our dating anniversary (we had had our first date there when they first opened) and they went out of our way to make our celebration special tonight, from champagne to start and desert to end on the house. They had read my notes in Open Table and were all prepared to serve us. I also have a gluten allergy and that was absolutely no problem; Mary checked with the chef on everything and they paid special attention to assure no cross contamination. Best of all, they didn’t make me feel bad for it - it was a complete non issue and we had a really fun date night with perfect food and drinks. Their cocktails are SO good and the food is of the utmost freshness, local ingredients from places we know and love. My pork chop cut like a tender breast of chicken, and my husband loved his steak frites. We will definitely be coming more regularly! Thank you so much, Spoke and Steele!

We had a great time at Spoke the cocktails and wine were delicious and the food was ever so tasty! We had such a great experience that we will definitely be back!

This was a nice restaurant with great food. Very good choices of traditional menu items with a little flair to make them stand out from the others. We had the scallops which were very buttery and the braised beef with pasta, which was delicious.

The complementary champagne since this was a birthday dinner was a nice touch as well.

This place was amazing. We planned for 12 people and ended up with 15. The host accommodated us so quickly. Bailey was our server. She was professional and totally on top of everything. She even divided our checks into 15 different ones. I can't explain how perfect this place was for an extra large group!

Have been here a few times and brought new friends with us this time. Loved everything, the food suggestions, cocktail options were unique and delicious, and the charcuterie board to start. Thanks to everyone for a great evening.

We came to the restaurant 15 minutes earlier than our reservation time and we were sat down right away. Our waitress was awesome and we never felt rushed when it came to ordering our food. She was very detailed in the explanations that she gave about the amazing food the have at Spoke and Steele. Even though there were only about 10 or so entree options it was still so hard to choose! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! There was quite a bit of noise but it was a good balance. Not incredibly loud but not completely silent either which I really liked.

Wonderful except HORRIBLE noise issue. We changed tables and moved into the back of the room which helped but still almost took away from the experience.

Nick's biscuits are the bomb! Food is great - just a little loud for us. Great craft cocktails. So much better than Saint Elmo's!!

Menu lacked creativity and was hit and miss with respect to flavor and presentation. Wonderfully decorated with great ambience and attentive service making it a nice venue for drinks.

Setup a lunch meeting to take place here. Unfortunately they no longer provide their awesome lunch menu so we were stuck ordering brunch. Food was ok but not the fantastic options I was hoping for or had experienced in the past. I would recommend only going here for dinner if they continue to serve only the brunch menu.

Wait staff was attentive, food was delicious, restaurant was clean and fresh. Would go back again.
