Had a terrific experience.
Food was spot on.
Bailey the waitress was awesome.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Will be coming back
This is a hidden gem. Don’t let the fact that it’s a hotel restaurant fool you. Innovative and delicious menu that is moderately priced. Large windows look out onto one of the busiest streets in town offer great people watching.
Hello Gary! Thank you so much for coming into S&S, and we are very happy you were pleased. We hope you come in again soon, and definitely let us know in your reservation that you enjoy the front windows. The people watching is indeed prime. Cheers! Johnny AGM, S&S
My wife and I made a reservation for our Anniversary and were greeted/treated terrifically. Would highly suggest and we will be returning! Excellent food, drinks, and service
Thank you so much for spending your anniversary with us. We hope we made your evening an unforgettable one. Cheers! Johnny AGM, S&S
All around great meal. Will be back!
I was informed that the burgers were the "bomb" therefore an excellent reason to dine at Spoke & Steele.
A very quaint spot in the old Canterbury Hotel, now the Le Meridian. I rode solo as my wife had to cancel on me at the last minute for a meeting. I was the only patron in place and the staff was great. The server was well versed on the menu and the restaurants offerings. It is an expensive place to dine but I was satisfied after my meal. Great place for after work drinks and socializing. The location is great. I had a great time. I had the 3 board CHARCUTERIE. It included some favorites of mine and allowed me to indulge in some new fare. I enjoyed my time at Spoke & Steele.
Tried this place while visiting from Chicago with my husband and 6 yr old. We loved it. The biscuits are literally the best I’ve ever had, and my family is from the south. The restaurant is on the smaller side, which I like. And the decor wasn’t over done, which makes for a chill atmosphere. The flavors were fresh and layered, even in the cocktails. The hummus was phenomenal, the salmon and scallops were also good. Wish I’d taken pictures because the presentation was pretty classy! And our server was really patient with my 6 yr old ❤️
Super cute restaurant. I love the vibe and the service was excellent. Food is very good but it's a little pricey for what it is. Great option if you're looking for a nice night out!
Outstanding in all ways. We enjoyed the new menu.
We always enjoy our time at spoke and Steele. The service seemed a bit slower than usual but our waitress tried to keep us up to date. There was a group next to us that was rather loud but that isn’t the restaurant’s fault.
Service was outstanding. One of our entrees was very good. The other entree was disappointing. Appetizer was interesting. I gave it just a good rating because the menu is so limited & pretty pricey. I would suggest a few more options at lower price point. Beer, wine, & cocktail choices good.
Made a quick reservation for my management team as a suggestion, always u all did a great job John took care of them will be bacn
Thank you so much for bringing your team here. We are very happy you enjoyed! Cheers!
If you are looking for a lighter and healthier menu to St. Elmo's Steakhouse next door. The salad were fantastic. The Mussels could have been hotter but the wine cause was great. The waiter was knowledgeable and personable. Great atmosphere
Thanks for writing the kind review and also thank you for the feedback. We have a new menu starting Monday, April 15. We hope you can come back and check it out. Cheers!
Me and my husband enjoyed a delightful breakfast during our stay at LeMerdian, My husband enjoyed a perfect Banana Foster French toast and a large chocolatey croissant it was to die for and the scenery just made it a perfect weekend. I would recommend anyone to enjoy brunch here.
Restaurant was slow and service was slower. Our food quality suffered too. You could tell that it sat before being served.
I'll give an A+ to Jay the bartender!
It will be a long time before we go back for dinner unless I eat at the bar.
Great choice! Our group of 8 was seated in the private side room. It was perfect for friends who only meet a couple times a year and wanted to talk and laugh. Food was so very good! It's a small menu, but better to do a limited number of items very well. I had the Bolognese, my wife had the Braised Beef - both were excellent. Our friends enjoyed Pagenaud Steak (plentiful and delicious) with a side of mushrooms, and the others each got the pan-seared salmon. We looked at the menu and prices at St Elmo's and decided our group would refer a more moderate evening and relaxed atmosphere. I know we chose the better of the two. You'll enjoy it.
Thank you Dave! We hope we see you back in S&S soon. Cheers!
Loved everything about the place - the ambiance, food, and service were all top notch, and I can wait to go back again.
Thank you so much for coming into S&S! We hope we have the opportunity to host you again, soon! -Johnny AGM, S&S
Dined here before a concert at Bankers Life. The drinks were amazing, the scallops were delicious, and the service was wonderful!
Thank you! We are thankful you made us a part of your JT night:) Cheers, Johnny AGM, S&S
We really enjoyed our dinner! Excellent service, great food and wine!
The dinner and service was fabulous! They were having a somewhat slow night because of the weather. So the bartender, Jay, spoke with us about what we liked and didn't like as far as flavors and created some delicious cocktails for us throughout the evening. He was very knowledgeable and it was a fantastic experience!
When my team arrived, there were many open tables, so sat down without letting the Host know they had reservations. In doing this, I received an email that no one arrived.
Please make sure when arriving to let the Host know you had reservations, this way, when using OpenTable, you will not be "dinged" for a no show. Also, the Host should ask if they had reservations...
The best drinks and charcuterie in Indianapolis. Our absolute favorite spot to go when we visit.
Ambiance was great. Cocktails were delicious. Mussels were amazing. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and the restaurant didn’t seem THAT busy, so maybe they were understaffed that evening, but I would definitely return.
Last minute reservations with my husband and daughter. The decor and atmosphere was very appealing. Our waitress Mary was delightful! She took the right amount of care into making our experience a great one! The craft cocktail I had was made with rum, scotch, citrus it sounds odd but was delicious. tart with a little smokey sweetness. We all shared a charcuterie board that was so beautiful we didn’t want to eat it. Kidding we sure did, and it was delicious. We shared mussels, which were also great but unfortunately we had to sent the first batch back as they were cold. It was unfavourable but mistakes happen and we did not let it ruin our dining experience at Spoke + Steele.
Glad to see that Jay from Open Society Public House has landed at the bar...food was good and we appreciated that some of the items could be made gluten free with a little creativity. Some of the entry's seemed to have sat for a bit (timing with others?) as they were not piping hot but overall the experience was a good one. A bit pricey (nearly $50 steak frites ;-0 for but there were some more reasonably priced items.
We were in town for a volleyball tournament and had a parent dinner. The restaurant is so beautiful and comfortable. We LOVED it. Tara, our server, was so warm and accommodating. Thanks, a great evening was had by all!!! GREAT dining experience.
Brandon was amazing and made my birthday very special. He even gave us two desserts on the house for the occasion which wasn’t expected but was very nice! We love this place and will continue stopping by when we’re in the mood for the best charcuterie board in town.
Perfect for Saturday morning brunch with friends! Our server was very friendly and attentive, and our meals were interesting and delicious. Would absolutely recommend!
My husband and I came for a date night this weekend. This is the second time we've been to Spoke and Steele and we are still on the fence about the experience. The restaurant gives off a loungy-vibe, but the noise level is WAY louder than a lounge. I'm not sure if we need to come later (around 9 p.m.) to experience a calmer atmosphere, or if this is the general noise level of the patrons. We enjoyed the food and the service was great, but we were hoping for a more laid-back relax feeling that the decor gives off. While we got our food quickly and it was all delicious, it just wasn't the vibe we were expecting. It felt like we had to yell for the server to be able to hear us and the restaurant wasn't completely full. Maybe next time, we'll book later in hopes of a more-relaxed experience... I will say that it is difficult to book a late reservation with a babysitter taking care of our littles for a specific timeframe at night.
Okay, okay. We all know St. Elmo’s is a culinary landmark. BUT DO NOT MISS their boutique next door neighbor! Spoke & Steele is right there with the best Indy has to offer, with service that rivals the first-class menu and creative drink selections. Cannot recommend them highly enough.
Thank you so much for coming in! We hope we get to host you again soon. Cheers! -Johnny AGM, S&S
We had dinner on Saturday and Brunch on Sunday both meals were excellent. Service was wonderful. The entire experience was wonderful.
Thank you so much for spending the weekend with us! We hope we get the opportunity to host you again soon. Cheers! -Johnny AGM, S&S
Brandon was a fabulous server and took great care of us. Food was absolutely delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The only reason why this didn't get five stars is that I ordered a chocolate eclair for dessert which is seasonal and even though Brandon made me aware that it was not made in-house, he said it was provided by a local bakery. Unfortunately, the dessert was not fresh and was obviously frozen as it tasted like freezer burn. It was not good at all and I did not eat it. I did not say anything to Brandon as I did not want to make a big deal of it in front of my client that I was having dinner with. I would recommend ordering desserts that are made in-house as my client and the other person I was with ordered the bread pudding along with the Death by Chocolate, both said they were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!
Great waitperson for Sunday Brunch!! Good omeletes...
One of the worst experiences I've received from indy.
I am so sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience with us. I would like to speak with you and get a little more information about your visit, so that I know exactly what went wrong and how we can correct it. Could you please reach out to me directly at email@example.com that we can continue this discussion? I'd appreciate the opportunity to learn more. Thank you.
Lovely atmosphere with excellent service. Our server was quite pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. This was our first time dining at Spoke and Steele and we will be back as will the couple who joined us
They were so nice and accommodating! I called ahead and asked if they could leave a not on the table for my wife since we were going on a special date, and they did, and it was perfect!
The ambience was great, the service prompt and friendly, and the food was incredible. We are from Texas, where I thought we did steak the best, but I was mistaken, because the special they offered for the evening, Prime rib, was cooked medium rare to perfection and mouth wateringly good! Truly the best steak I've ever had from a restaurant. The sides and appetizer were also equally top notch, and our Old Fashioned cocktails were perfect.
We will definitely return here when we are back in Indianapolis and would highly recommend this place to others!
A little pricy but service was great and food was delicious! Loved the atmosphere!
Spoke & Steele is the best Indy brunch spot you’ve never considered for brunch. Whenever I get to pick where we’re brunching, it’s Spoke & Steele.
The food is outstanding. (My favorite is the hashbrown chilaquiles — ask for their barrel-aged hot sauce on the side.)
The service is always a little slower than you’d expect, but the servers are friendly and knowledgeable.
The location is great, and if you can’t find street parking, you can use the Circle Centre garage on the other side of Illinois.
I’m reluctant to say more very positive stuff — there’s plenty more to say, but I don’t want my favorite brunch place to get overcrowded! :) But seriously, it’s really great, and you should give it a try.
Customer dinner in private room. Just an awesome evening. Great food, excellent service. Perfect!!
Food was incredible but I was shocked by the bill
