Spinello’s East Coast Eatery is a casual Italian restaurant developed by New Jersey chef Michael Spinello. Most of its dishes are based on family recipes that were handed down to the chef by previous generations of his family. The chef’s proximity to New York City enabled him to discover several Italian creations that are unique to Manhattan, which he also serves with his own twists at Spinello’s.

Begin your meal with one of the small plates available at Spinello’s. Options include house special meatballs, a trio of stuffed mushrooms with sausage, breadcrumbs, cheese and herbs as well as cheesy garlic bread with mozzarella and garlic. For your main course, choose from a wide variety of pasta dishes like penne alla vodka, prawn fra divalo and Mikey’s special rigatoni. End your meal with a sweet dessert like ricotta cheese cake, tiramisu, affogato or Big Bob’s cream puffs.

Our server made our night. So friendly and attentive. It's a small dining room, and since we were there on a night when it was only half-full, the noise level was very conversation friendly. Ordered a glass of Chianti off the menu which was very palatable. The Caesar salad was exceptional. I had the linguine with clam sauce which was very, very subtle. A wonderfully light, yet vibrant dish. My wife had Mikey's Special Rigatoni ... which was outstanding. One of the best night's out that we've had all year.

If you want real authentic Italian food, look no further than Spinello's! Food is awesome!

Finally an Italian restaurant that knows how to make eggplant parmesan. Best this side of the country.

Food is good! The restaurant space is very small and you'll be cramped if your group is 3 or more. Our waitress spoke really fast and was a bit abrasive. We felt rushed like she was trying to flip the table but there were quite a few tables open for a Friday evening. Overall, food is really good, service and small space may ruin the experience. Would be perfect for 2 people.

The food was outstanding and the staff was friendly. We plan to return, to try some more items on the menu!

Had a very nice dinner at Spinello's. We both had fish (salmon and flounder) which was very fresh, flavorful and nicely cooked. The service was also very good. Everything you would expect from a good Italian eatery.

We've been here before and all was fine. Tonight we went for dinner again. After waiting 55 minutes since we had ordered, I asked if our food was almost ready. The waitress went to check. She came back and told us that she had put the order in but the order didn't print out for the cooks so it was going to be another 15 minutes until we could get our food. Everyone's food was fine except I had ordered the Eggplant Parm. They had rushed it to get it out so the eggplant wasn't cooked. You would think that they would offer to comp our bill since we had to wait so long. Nope. They offered us free dessert. 3 of us ordered the rice pudding. I believe once again they were trying to hurry out the order so the rice pudding was slightly frozen so we brought most of it home. Also, the Gelato was not Gelato. It was chocolate ice cream. Very disappointing this time. You would think after 25 minutes or so the waitress would have went to check on it our order herself. Not sure we'll go back again. Bummed because I thought we had finally found another great little spot.

This tiny place has charm, reminds me os summers on the Jersey shore as a child. The food is prepared well, veggies perfect, pasta al dente and hardy tomato sauce, though they call it "gravy". Big controversy over the name among east coast Italian-Americans. It's not your foo-foo fancy Italian and it's not your run of the mill Italian chain food either. It is, to me, down-home favorites served in a charming little neighborhood place. I do have to say that the service, though friendly, was better the first time we dined there. We will keep coming back.

One of my families favorite local spots here in LG. Great flavor in the Mac with Sunday Gravy!!! Simple and delicious.

Authentic gravy, (that's what East Coast Italians call red sauce that's slow cooked with lots of meat and flavor cooked in). Eating here is more like being at your Italian grandma's house, enjoying her hand made family recipes. Great weeknight place to enjoy a casual meal. Happened to be a perfect night to sit out front, enjoy the night breeze, and savor the deep and rich flavors.

Our party of 4 ordered two great dishes Laura's Eggplant Parmesan and the Bone in Veal Parmesan. Both dishes were well constructed and their "Sunday Gravy" a red sauce with great taste was delicious.
The food was 5 star, but the service was awful. Though a little salty.
It was Saturday about 7, place was not full. First I ordered Ice tea and was able to get one refill, the waitress was never back at our table after the food was served about 735. At about 820 one of the servers finally noticed the empty plates (been empty 25 minutes). During the 25 minutes we waited for the check or to be offered desert choices , we watched the hostess sit at a table right in front of us, as well as the waitresses walk by many times. No one asked if food was ok, no one refilled ice teas or asked if anyone wanted drinks with dinner. We got lucky in that it only took them 4 minutes to charge our credit card. And yet with empty glasses, no refill was offered?
It was my birthday dinner, and after the long wait, my guests just wanted to leave
No birthday desert, do wish I had gone someplace else.
Also bone in -- does not have the bone

Spinello's is the perfect local restaurant. The food is great. The staff is great. And the owner is always trying to come up with new menu items for his customers. They even had a contest, and the 2 winners had their recipes on the menu for a number of months. Spinal's is East Coast Italian and is the perfect restaurant for the town of Los Gatos.
