This is a wonderful place to dine when not in the mood for chain restaurants. We had Mom's memorial reception here and Saki was so compassionate. We've also attendded a weddig reception here, too. Food is always great and the wait staff always cordial and attentive. Today's Sunday brunch was yummy! Basic brunch items, but delicious and quiet.

Our waiter was very attentive and pleasant!
Quick to serve us and amusing.
Desert came quickly too!
Check was pretty hefty for the five of us, even though we brought our own wine...
It was worth it for a once in a while high dining experience !

It was a slow day, so I don't know if the service would be as good in a rush, but the service was excellent and the staff was friendly. We had salmon and it had a nice sear.

We were a party of three and were seated at the bar area which was noisy. I must admit that I made the reservations using OpenTable 2 hours before. I received the confirmation via email but when we arrived at the restaurant, my name was not in the computer. The only available
tables were in the back section of the restaurant by the bar. Some ladies were constantly screaming and laughing out loud. Next time, we will not seat in this area.
Other than that, everything we ordered were good and our server was friendly and efficient.

Great service! I really liked the seafood chowder and the waiter brought me a second cup on the house! That didn't help though when it came to eating one of the largest rack of lamb servings I have ever seen. The lamb was cooked to perfection and was wonderful. My husband and I really enjoyed our meal and it is super close to the new Warm Springs BART - so this is a great stop when we are on our way to an event at the coliseum!

A nice local restaurant featuring grilled meats (steak, veal, pork, lamb) and very nice prime rib.

It might have been very nice 20 years ago, looks and tastes very dated.

Really pleasantly surprised. Sat in a nice, comfortable booth in a room all by ourselves. Very nice! Took a point off for service: the waiter was funny and personable, but forgot part of my order, so we had to remind him...and I ended up eating it instead of dessert, hence the point off for service. They probably should have comped that item (it was really cheap) just to apologize for the mistake. But overall a nice experience. I'd definitely go back.

We were having dinner with the adults from our Scout group to discuss planning and such. We were given a private room that was perfect. It was quiet for us. Excellent service, good food. On the pricey side for a casual meal, but the food and service were commensurate with the price.

The restaurant is like going back in time. I like the music and the food was fresh homemade. My husband and I thought the entre prices were high, so we split a prime rib. The waiter apparently put in the order and said, "Cut it in two pieces" meaning split the order. But the chef heard it as "cut it into pieces." So we had a prime rib in little square chunks. It was like dog food. I wasn't impressed. The meat was not even warm. There were bland mashed potatoes with a bulb of garlic roasted next to it. I would have preferred the garlic mashed into the potatoes. As a split entrée, there was plenty of food for us both- some cauliflower not quite fork tender.

On the other hand, the bread was crunchy French bread with little pats of butter in foil (that's old fashioned to me). I had a house salad that was fresh and lovely. My daughter had chicken fingers with lots of French fries. I could tell the food was nicely made on the premises.

My recommendation is to have better communication with the waiter. But we'll likely go back and just order appetizers and salads next time. The environment was nice.

This place has a lot of history for me, my parents as well. This place has been a Fremont icon since at least the early 60's. It has really grown in both size and ambiance and is a very nice restaurant inside now. I had filet mignon. It was great! Our server, whose name escapes me, was great. Really funny guy. Had a great time.

Made reservations for our 10 year anniversary, I have to say it was quite an experience.
From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out after our meals.
This place is amazing!

Came in for a business dinner with about a dozen people. They gave us a separate room, which was nice. The food and service were good.

Spin a yarn is always good times. And the biggest reason why is the staff. Saki and team make it a great personalized experience and make you feel like you are a regular.
