Had a reservation/ was on time/ the host seated someone before us on the patio/ when we asked for a patio table they said there are none available! Then they sat us on a 6 top inside... Many tables were empty outside the whole night!
As far as the food... It was fair.. Homemade pasta was good but the sauces were way too rich and creamy. This was true of both of our meals.. A bit too much actually
The waiter rushed is from start to finish.... It was very uncomfortable. The food was sub par and under seasoned
Roberta is a fixture on Collins Ave. Always good service, good food and great atmosphere
An old favorite disappoints. We had a group of seven. Unfortunately it was Spring Break week so the noise from the street was overwhelming. But that wasn’t the disappointment.
Service was very slow. An order was placed incorrectly. The “service recovery” when the wrong dish arrived was rude. The server made it clear: the customer had gotten it wrong.
I’ve loved Spiga for years. If I go back it will be on a quiet, slow night where they can handle the business. But not likely.
Staff was wonderful and the food full of flavor and delicious.
We have a family dinner at SPIGA at least once when we are in Miami.
We loved the restaurant although the vongole was not so special. My husband’s steak was very good!
I’ll come back, one day!
The attendants were very nice people and were not in a hurry as in other restaurants we went!
2nd time to Spiga, food was ok this time. We had The Pear tortellini and it was a little bland. Also had the Pasta with shrimp and asparagus with a red sauce, it tasted a bit like vinegar.
Overall Spiga is a nice restaurant and it is pricy as all good Miami Beach restaurants are. But they left us with a bitter opinion when I saw an "Opening Fee" on the bill for $10. The highly priced bottle of wine which was a screw cap does not merit a fee to open it. Nor should a corked bottle. Did not want to upset my wife on our anniversary but that's lame!
Spiga is a mainstay during our yearly South Beach vacation. It’s down to earth, friendly, honest Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. When you’ve had enough of the glitz and super sized meals at extravagant hotel restaurants, this place will indeed be like dining with family in a lovely, modern atmosphere.
Everything was excellent. Food and service. Will come back
Have been eating here for years and it once again did not disappoint. Had a lovely table for two in the side patio area of the restaurant. Made for a lovely evening. The prosecco chicken/shrimp, a longtime favorite, was outstanding.
Loved the atmosphere! Great evening lighting. We sat outside on front porch and it was beautiful and elegant. I had homemade ravioli with arugula filling and a butter sauce. They were delicious! My son had homemade pasta with a saffron cream sauce with pancetta. It was delicious also! Prices were good for South Beach! I highly recommend!
A reliable standard, have been going here for years. Always wonderful if you like classic Italian dining. The garden seating is absolutely lovely and romantic.
Great fresh food with an authentic Italian twist. Many fresh seafood items
Though outside dining is great, you may want to sit inside as Collins is very noisy
Much better than dining on Ocean Blvd. this is a classy establishment
The pasta dishes were exceptional. The salads were an amazing blend of vegetables, fruits and nuts. The chef is very talented. If we were there longer, we would absolutely return.
Great local Italian spot, food was outstanding and service was friendly and professional I would highly recommend.
The food was good. While our waitress was friendly, she lost track of us, botched our entree order, failed to bring the iced tea I asked for, and stretched a 90 minute meal to over 2 hours. People that arrived 30 minutes after us left before us. We passed on dessert. Nonetheless, the service charge was included in the base bill. Was excited to try this place but left disappointed. Generally a restaurant messing up service - we literally sat for 40 minutes waiting, thinking they had put in our entree order and then found out they had not - would throw in dessert or a drink, but not Spiga apparently.
This was the worst restaurant I ever ate at. The food was completely tasteless, everything from the ceaser salad to the pasta tasted like dishwater. Service was spotty which I can handle but the food was the worst. Waste of money and time.
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. The service was great and the food was amazing! We will be back for sure!
This has been my go to Italian restaurant in SOBE, its gone a bit downhill. Bummed.
I know a lot had to do with the waitress, she was pushy, rude, impatient and not accommodating at all. She gave us an attitude because we weren't ready for drinks, then finally when we did decide to order she was not accommodating. Food could of been better, it was more on the cold side than hot. Too bad, this place used to be top notch.
Each time we visit Miami Beach, we come back to this wonderful place. Food, service. and ambience are outstanding.
We dine at Spiga often. We love the menu. It is creative and offers excellent choices. Food wonderful. Atmosphere wonderful. Excellent service. Never disappointed.
Nichts besondere - hatte für draussen reserviert (online), aber mussten zuerst drinnen Platz nehmen.
Love this place!
Charming and authentic family owned restaurant. I will definitely be back!
Best Italian restaurant in South Beach. The food and attention to detail were spectacular.
The service is poor.
We had to drink our wine in a water glass. They said there were no more wine glasses. All of them were been used to others customers. It's not acceptable.
We ordered for entries grilled squids and polenta with gorgonzola melted cheese.
The squids were dried and tasted nothing
The polenta was not well cooked and the presentation of the dish that came to the table was pessimistic and without any whimsy.
It is one of our very favorite restaurants anywhere. Excellent service and ambiance. The menu is diverse and the food is absolutely wonderful, exceptionally well prepared and presented.
Absolutely fantastic meal and service. We would go back any time and highly recommend it if you are looking for a terrific Italian meal with impeccable service.
We so look forward to our opportunities to dine at Spiga. Excellent, creative menu. Excellent service. Wonderful ambiance. It is one of our very favorite spots.
They gave us a table where we there was not enough space to sit (we are small) and the supervisor refused to change us table despite the many open and was very rude
Simply the best restaurant in Miami! Food food, food wine, food people, everything is ok
Honestly, we were expecting something fun and exciting from all the reviews. The menu online was different then what we saw at the restaurant. It seemed like they doubled the price and it was pretty pricy in my opinion. We spent $40 on pasta. We get that it’s handmade pasta but $40 and no salad or sides included is ridiculous.
In my reservation, I indicated that it was my boyfriend and my New Years and Anniversary. This is one of the only restaurants that did not acknowledge this or even thank us for dining with them.
The ambiance was very cold and snooty. They had us sit outside at a small table when there were plenty of seats on the inside of the restaurant.
They didn’t ask us if we wanted to order any drinks - cause I’m assuming they made a judgement and assumed that we couldn’t afford it? Wow.
Our waitress only stopped by twice and didn’t even ask how our meal was. The bus boy mainly did most of the service for us. They were one of the few restaurants that weren’t full on New Years. Not a surprise.
I also do not like how they automatically added gratuity onto our bill - it was just the two of us at dinner.
I will definitely not come back to this establishment or recommend it.
We spent $100 on two pasta dishes. Worse money spent. Very unhappy guest.
Very nice restaurant! Friendly staff, great food and wines. Pure, no nonsense, fresh, value for money. The outside seating was nice, the pace good, even had room for dessert! We would visit again!
Consistently excellent. Been coming here for years.
Expected a bit more after reading lots of good reviews.
24 Decembre c’était excellent ! À refaire
