I ordered the drunken noodle and specifically asked for there to be no basil. However basil was mixed in everywhere plus I kept eating hard chicken as if it was overcooked. Then when I tried to get the servers attention, she was nowhere to be found and never came over to ask how our food was. The server only came at the end to give us our bill. Worst service and food. Will never go to this location again!
The menu options are diverse & delicious. The seating upstairs is more comfortable than seating on the main floor, where tables are tightly packed.
Pad Thai Fried Rice was excellent, but the Spicy Lo Mein was terrible. Tasted just like chef boyardee from a can.
I went for lunch on a weekday. I had only appetizers of the vegetable roll & chicken roll, plus coconut sticky rice. The portions were healthy enough that I didn't want an entree. Prompt & professional service.
It was just perfect!!
Took my parents to try Thai food for the first time, they loved it.
This is one of my fav. Places to go for a quick bite.
The food and drinks were definetely amazing. Got the strawberry and guava martini and it was so good, and the thunder beef fried rice I think that's the name lol but it was so good that I will definely come back for that. Great vibe, music, decoration, and affordable as well but some disadvantage about the place is the fact that the menu is overwhelming therefore hard to make a quick choice, worst of all the wait time is insane, minimum wait is 15 minutes, which is very discouraging for a hungry bird, other than that very friendly and welcoming staff. Overall I would say it was a good experience but not the best.
Went with a friend for their lunch special. Great location to catch up, and have a tasty meal with no fuss or hassle. Service is efficient and cordial and the food is good and fresh. It is busy during lunch but a reservation in the 12 to 1 pm is helpful.
Dinner was great until the waitress demanded more money from us even though she barely made herself a presence at the table.
Food was delicious. Service was incredibly poor. You had to ask several times for something whether that was water, another drink, a napkin, etc. Plus you felt rushed as they brought out the main dish when you basically started your appetizer. Super crowded and they crammed in too many tables as you were sitting shoulder to shoulder with the table next to you. Put all that aside, and the bottom line is service is not friendly nor attentive. Not worth the money considering the food was very good.
The food was too salty. Was there for lunch. Ordered an eggplant dish with added beef. I could barely find the eggplant. The lunch included a free appetizer if you ordered an entree. This was a good value. Just be prepared to drink a lot of water.
The food was very disappointing, maybe the worst Thai food that I've had in NYC, but cheap.
Great lunch deals. For $10.50, I had some appetizer (steamed dumpling) and grilled pork chop. My friend had the whole porgy fish - quite big. Food was delicious.
Pleasant experience. Reasonably priced tasty food. Appetizer is included in the price of the entree. Service is efficient. It was pretty cold inside though due to the front door being opened frequently.
Service was horrific. Accidentally served us spring rolls w ice cream on top when we were supposed to have received cheesecake rolls. Neglected to bring plates for appetizers or utensils. Upon discuss the terrible service w the manager,
She was not helpful. Won't return.
I'd say this chain gets better press than it deserves. It's ok, at best. The food very ordinary. It's inexpensive, so that may be what is driving the reviews, but, you know, you get what you pay for.
Good food and quick for lunch time.
Our server never came to the table besides when she dropped the check. The bartender gave us drinks .
Good menu choices, excellent food, always dependable for a great meal
The worst service I've ever had, would not recommend it at all. The manager rude and unprofessional. My reservation was for two people, I got on time and said my friend was running 10 minutes late. The manager refused to offer me a table, though at least 4 table were available, said I should wait for my friend, was extremely unfriendly and unapologetic, just pointed to the notice. When my friend arrived, we left ... No wonder there were tables available for Sunday lunch, when all other places in the area were booked.
It is a shame...
Felt mass produced, food was not very hot and the spice was not traditional thai hot. Service was decent and the place looks cool but find a hole in the wall this is a pass.
The server gave us the wrong check. The lighting is so dim you need to use the candle on the table to read the menu, or the light from your phone.
Service is everything. Took 15 minutes to get our drinks. Appetizers came one minute before all of our food and there was no room on the table for everything. No follow up to see if we needed anything.
We had an 8pm reservation and they didn't seat us for half an hour because even though there were empty tables around us, it wasn't where they planned for us to sit. They also weren't very communicative about the status of our table and rude when we asked when we were going to be seated.
Everything seemed a little dirty and sloppy. The first impression was the menus felt funny. The food tasted fine.
Beautiful place wth great, attentive service. Food is delish, love their black noodles with beef, so savory and hits the spot.
The food was really good, however the seating is a bit cramped and they sat everyone in one area of the restaurant making it very loud and hard to hear my companion.
This location, I didn't like. They were not ready for the amount of people that had reservations. The service was super poor.
however I love this restaurant and I prefer the Chelsea location on 8th ave.
Tasty food with good service. Great for get togethers of friends and colleagues
The only that bothered me was the chips on the dining ware.
We reserved just a few minutes before we wanted to dine. When we got to the restaurant, the only available table was in bright sunlight on a hot summer day and right next to the door. We asked how long we would have to wait for a better table and the hostess said about 15 or 20 minutes. We asked if we could wait at the bar, which was empty, and order a drink. She said we couldn't sit at the bar unless we wanted to eat there. So we left. The restaurant reported us to Ooen Table as a no-show, but we kept our reservation and left when we weren't treated nicely.
Definitely feels like a chain, but it was quick, and the food was good. Great pre-movie meal.
Great the lemon grass chicken is amazing
Wide range of options in the menu. Good drinks. Gets very crowded on popular days - friday, saturday evenings. Slightly pricy but fits with the quality, portion, ambience and service.
We were able to find the one relatively quiet table. If you are going to have conversation this may not be the place. The food was very good as was the service. My guest and I split all the dishes and the staff was very accommodating. I was able to take the leftovers home and they were as good the following day.
The food was very good here. However, we were rushed from the moment we were seated. In fact, our entrees came out when we were only half way through the appetizers. Too bad because otherwise it would have been a very decent meal at a decent price.
Food is great service is not.
Wonderful service and excellent food. Will definitely be back
Food was good. Came with my two kids so would have been nice if they had kid size portions or a kids meal
Excellent service and creative , fresh food.
Spice isachain, so it's not the most exciting spot in Union Square. But, the service was good and so was the food. Also reasonably priced for the area. Would recommend.
