Sperry's Restaurant - Saratoga Springs
Located in downtown Saratoga, Sperry's has maintained the classic elegance for which this community is known. The original structure has been preserved and our history hangs on our walls as a reflection of the strong foundation on which we were built.
We welcome you to come enjoy history and an amazing dining experience...
Swordfish, miso cod and veal chop all outstanding. Great presentation and comfortable portions. No rushing of our party of 4. Delightful experience.
Great setting for dinner with coworkers. The service, food and wine were awesome. The dessert was amazing. The staff went above and beyond to ensure food allergies were given much detail. Our co-workers from out of state can't wait to return.
Nice to dine someplace that’s not trendy with a long history of high quality, well prepared and not overly fussy food, Attentive and enthusiastic service, and a lively but not loud noise level. Outstanding experience.
Out waiter was excellent! The guy with the long beard :).
I’m giving Sperry’s a good rating b/c service and food is great but we definitely had an odd experience. Our darling server was put in the unfortunate position of saying they were out of one thing after another. Short ribs, hamburger, chocolate cake, even Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay!? The list actually goes on, but I lost track. It was honestly an uncanny experience. We dined there on a Saturday night... 🤷🏻♀️ I’m going to go out on a limb and say this is not a typical experience because our waitress was horrified, quite frankly. Management should take note that whoever was in charge of ordering that week from food purveyor did not do a great job.
Service was wonderful even on a very busy night. Food was delicious, no issues with any of the plates in our large party. Would gladly go there again. Party had the bolognese, the scallops, steak... all terrific. Calamari was served piping hot with a sauce that complimented well (of course our desserts were sublime as well including a chocolate martini )
Excellent food, excellent service, great day for a meal on the patio
Great location, easy to get to from any of the hotels in town. Food was excellent, service was great, we would definitely come back.
We were greeted and seated immediately. The waiters were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and our guests in our party all enjoyed our dinner. We sat in a back room which allowed us to have a wonderful leisurely dining experience.
Found our waitress to be abrupt and somewhat rude. Came to the table and interrupted conversation without waiting for us to stop talking. Her entire attitude was unpleasant.
Sperry's continues to be the classiest restaurant in Saratoga. It is top notch food, service, ambience. It never fails to be special. I went for my birthday again this year and it was superb, the food, service, atmosphere - I hope Sperry's is here for another 100 years. Absolutely my favorite.
We had a modest meal last night , just burgers on a week night with a student friend of ours. It was perfect. The service was good and unobtrusive. The room was full but quiet enough for good conversation. We found parking around the corner —which felt very lucky indeed.
Delicious food, great atmosphere and excellent service. Highly recommend.
Really a gem! Very attentive service, excellent food, lovely atmosphere.
The decor is a throw-back to an earlier time (in a really good way).
Definitely would recommend, and definitely will return.
Unfortunately, our seat was near the server area so it was a bit loud and our table was extremely wobbly, otherwise the food was outstanding as always.
Husband's ribeye was tough, my pork chop was dry and too much cherry sauce. When a glaze/sauce on pork chop expect a little overspill on other items, but not expecting everything to be drowning in sauce. Sorry to say, second time here and not impressed. Do not think I will repeat, there are way too many other great restaurants to go to to spend $200 at.
Evidently the kitchen was “short of staff” according to our waitress. I’m guessing the missing person was the head chef. Highlight was the lobster bisque. Among the best I’ve ever encountered. Everything else was mediocre at best, calamari was rings only the dipping sauce appeared to be oyster and hoisin out of a bottle. The wasabi shrimp had no hint of wasabi and were 5 dollars apiece. The 20 dollar bottle of Sav Blanc was 50, they likely pay 15 so that’s up top in my opinion. If you’re in Saratoga and love lobster bisque give it a shot. Otherwise.............meh.
Sperry's has gone downhill - used to love this restaurant. No specials, burger was sold out, drinks were gross, meal was disgusting and was very loud plus expensive. Too many new restaurants coming in the area that have excellent food, exceptional service for the same value. Never going back.. what a disappointment.
Great first experience. Amazing food, excellent service and the atmosphere was just what we were looking for on a weeknight/off season outing- quiet. Everyone was very accommodating with my son's peanut allergy, a huge relief for us (thank you Chef!). Being new to the area I'm so glad we gave Sperry's a try. We will be returning.
Wonderful dinner as usual! Highly recommend!
Very good restaurant with great atmosphere. Great bar in summer.
A great restaurant week choice with many options allowed us to celebrate two birthdays and eat well! We started with a beautiful charcuterie board, shrimp wasabi and fresh salads. All were terrific. As main entrees, scallops and cod were cooked to perfection, and both meat dishes, steak and short ribs were nicely done and tasty. Don’t miss a taste of the cheesecake! Will return!
Great dinner, Rachel best waitress. Staff was solid, food was top shelf.
Excellent service and food. We were there for prix fix Restaurant Week. A variety of pasta, fish and beef was ordered at the table. All was excellent and the portions were generous. Can't wait to go back
Sperry's has always been dependable for providing delicious food and excellent service. Tonight was no different truly a pleasurable dining experience.
we went to Sperry's for restaurant week and were pleasantly surprised to see that their restaurant week menu was basically their normal menu made cheaper. Some places only give you three choices of entrees, all of their entrees were available. And the food, as always, was good.
It isn't the Sperry's of old, alas, but much better than it was under previous owner. Ambiance is relatively relaxed, food is a tad fussily presented but very good. The side rooms have no charm; main room is better though I wish they would lose the tv.s over the bar.
After swearing off Sperry's 10 yrs. ago I would now put it back on the list.
We came to Sperry's for restaurant week and had a delicious dinner and wonderful service.
Sean D was our waiter and he was wonderful! We live in Saratoga and always love going to
Sperry's, but Sean D made it an even better experience.
Great meal. I wouldn’t want to eat in the back room in daylight. Not as much ambience in the back room but as darkness appeared the lighting came to life and all was good.
Restaurant week this is the only restaurant that give more than three choices. Love
The food was excellent, as well as the service, we were not rushed, enjoyed a comfortable dinner with my daughter and grand daughter
First time here. Cute place and waitstaff was super friendly. I had a seat that had me facing the waitstaff curtains - so that was a bummer. But the biggest bummer was the wait. We had a 7:45 reservation and they told us to sit at the bar and wait. It was concerning since I saw open tables. We waited 15 mins and then they seated us at this point I noticed no one was eating in the dining room. The whole ordeal took 2 hrs. Ugh. Took way too long. The food was yummy. But the wait was insane . I’ll try it again - just figuring they were having a bad night.
Delicious food and great service! Wonderful restaurant week menu.
A wonderful night in Saratoga at Sperry's to celebrate our 33rd anniversary. And as luck would have it, we were there for RESTAURANT WEEK, so we were able to get two three-course meals for $30, quite the bargain. I had the swordfish which was delicious and cooked to perfection, while partner had the eggplant ravioli. Portions were just right. We opened with a shrimp cocktail, each added a salad and finished with scrumptious desserts. Topped it off with a fine, red wine.
Restaurant week menu was solid - lots of really nice options. The food took quite a long time to come out, though we were offered complimentary drinks for the long wait. The lamb, calamari and diver scallops were excellent, however, a few elements of our entries were cold by the time they reached us, including my husband’s filet...which was disappointing. Carrot cake was mediocre, very dry. Overall, we had a very nice meal. Servers were nice, very attentive for hoe busy the place was and the ambience was nice.
I have never been disappointed with the service or the quality of the food very well pleased thank you very much for your service
We have never been to Sperry's so when we saw it was Saratoga Restaurant week we decided to try it. Our waitress was outstanding and the food was delicious - we will be coming back.
Our meal was absolutely delicious, fast service and excellent Waiter and wait staff. Would go back in a heartbeat!
It was ok. My expectations may have been a little high. Service was not very attentive. The bus boys were great butch waitress was overburdened. We were trying it during Restaurant Week and the price fix was good. We might give it a second chance on a quieter night.
Great food, great wine list, great service, ‘one of a kind’ historic saratoga setting.
