Sperry's Restaurant - Saratoga Springs Ratings and Reviews
I wanted to sit down to eat at the last minute. Found this place with the help of "one table" app. Most of the crowd was dressed with suits and blazers but I was in jeans and a t-shirt. The staff treated me with the utmost respect. I will definitely go back.
My friend and I chose Sperry's for a pre-SPAC concert dinner. We had an early reservation (5:45pm) so we would not have to rush through dinner to get to the concert. We requested outdoor seating and were seated in the garden which is lovely and the night was particularly beautiful with the wam sun and crisp breeze. Our server was prompt, courteous and our wine order was delivered quickly. I ordered the grilled salmon over arugula, which was crisp on the outside and firm and delicious on the inside. My friend ordered the vegetarian ravioli - which was the HIT of the evening. The ravioli were done in a lemon-ish sauce, which was amazing and light. I would definitely return and order the ravioli. Sperry's is always great - and I highly recommend this restaurant for an overall super dining experience.
Sperry's was a favorite restaurant on my annual summer treks to Saratoga for the races in my younger years. I just returned for Travers weekend for a reunion with some old friends for the first time in 28 years. If anything the food, service atmosphere exceeded my fond memories. Quite a feat!
I went with my wife but I did not eat due to an upset stomach. My wife did eat and loved both her tomato salad and her seafood and pasta. She raved about both dishes. We were seated in a booth in the bar area and were served by Carlos. Carlos was an exceptional waiter who after seeing I did not feel well, offered me ginger ale which to my surprise helped immediately. I will return to Sperrys on my next visit to Saratoga!
Hosting friends for the weekend and wanted to complete our day at the track with a great meal. Service was exceptional. Staff is on top of everything, extremely accommodating and with great attention to detail... hostess, bartender and wait staff. Only bump was the diner's pork chop was sent back for being too rare when the request was medium well. Still not cooked to preference after it was returned to the kitchen so the diner took it home and enjoyed it cooked medium well there. When meat is sent back to be cooked more, it's going to take longer than two minutes to reach the desired doneness. Sperry's is fantastic and we will continue to dine there but are frustrated with being rushed by kitchens all over because establishments want to turn their tables. It should be noted that they offered to take the item off the bill but we refused, as that's not what we wanted. What we wanted was a pork chop cooked medium well.
Great meal, as always. Only issue was the noise level - a bit high for a restaurant of this caliber - from the group of guys a couple tables away being a bit rowdy to the baby at another table crying quite a bit - you just don't expect to have that experience at a restaurant like this.
Nice atmosphere We where on the dinning room side it was much more quieter in the bar side my husband had the veal chop special with potatoes and asparagus it was delicious but don't think it was worth $62
But we didn't ask as Bill was running though the specials
Sperry's is a must if you want to experience old Saratoga. Located on historic Caroline St downtown, a vibrant bar & restaurant rich area. Great bar and ambiance. Food, especially the steaks and veal chops are excellent. Waiter Carlos is attentive and professional. Sperry's is always a must on our Saratoga visits, whether for a relaxing cocktail or fine dinner.
