I had the 12oz Ribeye medium rare and it was the BEST I have ever had; perfectly charred on the outside and melt in your mouth tender on the inside.

The calamary appetizer was delicious, and a very generous proportion. The New York State was excellent. It could just the way I ordered it. The carrot cake for dessert was an excellent touch to a fine dining experience!

Calamari was too sweet for my liking, but were well prepared and served piping hot. The gazpacho was excellent. The wedge salad was wonderful (except for the candied nuts, which did not blend with blue cheese, bacon and tomatoes....fortunately there were only about 6 of them and they were easy to put off to the side). The service was incredible. The restaurant was very busy, as usual, and the servers worked like a team of seasoned professionals. I sure hope the staff are paid what they're worth! Thank you for a lovely lunch.

Had a wonderful dinner. Service (William) was great, husband had rack of lamb which he really enjoyed, I had Chilean Sea Bass which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. A really nice atmosphere - valet and hostess staff were welcoming and friendly.

I prearranged a special birthday dinner for my husband and I. The Manager, Julia took down my order over the phone from pre dinner drinks to our meals and wine. Everything was exactly as requested. Our server, William, was spot on with service. Would recommend to anyone. Nice to know there are still great restaurants who serve their customers professionally and with a smile.

It's always a pleasure to eat at Spencer's. The food, service & location is great. We've been eating there for the past 15 years. It's amazing to see some employees have spent over 20 years at the restaurant.

- Food was fab. Perfect all the way - Drinks were not good. They were made like a 20 year old at college would think cocktails are made. I sent one back and the second was just as unconsidered. Not sure if the bar tender is free pouring and ignoring the recipe, but it would be great if the quality of the beverages matched the food. Server saw my untouched drink and said nothing. Was a bummer. - The dessert was dreamy

Spencer's is on a gradual descent from its high quality seating, ambiance, and general appearance. Not as much care is given to patrons as times gone by. We were seated at a table next to the exit/entrance to the kitchen/server traffic which was a distraction. The predinner rolls were fine but just never replenished or asked.

Maggie, our waitress was fun but also efficient . She made the birthday boys’ evening a delight along with the hot and delicious entrees on the pri fix menu. The extra dessert as well as the written declaration of the special day were very nice gestures. Can’t find anything not up to 5 stars

We were seated at a table on the main aisle underneath a tree, that was dropping pieces from the blooms all over the table and into our food and drinks. If you are going to have tables under a shedding tree, you should put something, like sails up to prevent the stuff from falling on people and their dinner table.

Food and service was excellent. The one minimal drawback is sitting outside leaves you exposed to frequent droppings from the trees. Once you overlook that, great ambience.
