Spencer's needs to do better on being friendly instead of making guests feel like it's just all business. I've found in the past that the front of the house can be a little rude; Spencer's is popular so there may be little need to treat guests like guests and less like an inconvenience. I love Spencer's and plan on coming back, so be ready.
Lovely patio area with good food and great service. Would def come again
one of the best in Coachella Valley constantly high quality and atmosphere
In year’s past, we have gone for dinner many times. One of my favorites. This year, I went to lunch for the first time and found it even more lovely. Went a total of 3 times for lunch. So lovely. One problem—you must make reservations to eat outside. So plan ahead!
Lovely ambiance and quality experiences as usual!!
This is the very first time that our food was not hot and the eggs weren't cooked the way they were ordered. It wasn't busy, so we aren't sure what happened - but we'll consider it a fluke until we go again.
This was our 3D visit. Busy place. Had a price fixe meal. Took the desert back with us. Yummy🌺🌺my fish was good. Caesar salad great.
This restaurant is in a neighborhood.
DH liked his pasta and sausage dish. His salad was good.
My lobster was cooked perfectly but lacked flavor. Side of potatoes grattin on the cool side.
Our waitress was very nice and efficient.
Waiter seemed to careless if we were attended to or not. Never asked if we wanted another cocktail, practically had to go to the bar to order. Dinner was descent and desserts tasted like them came from the grocery store. Never will we return.
We visited Spencers for our birthdays this past Saturday the 17th. I was looking for a nice restaurant and found a GREAT GEM that we will frequent often. The food was fabulous and the service was wonderful. From the greating when we entered with the special greeting in the menue to our wonderful waitress Michelle. We have been to many nice places for lunch n dinner but the food at Spencers was perfect...tasty, tender, fresh.
Thank you Spencers for a fabulous time.
Just OK. There are so many places that are better in Palm Springs, I would not recommend this place. I ordered Corned Beef Hash which was listed as a house specialty. It was straight out of the can. My wife's pancakes were ok.
We have always considered Spencer’s to be a special-occasion dining experience. We were rather disappointed at this visit. Our welcome was warm and we were promptly seated. Our service was good at first, but the server did not return while we were eating our appetizers to ask how they were (tepid). We had ordered the lobster pot stickers and the calamari. The potstickers were somewhat tough and chewy – not at all tender. There was a generous serving of the calamari, but they were not warm. They were also heavily breaded and sauced. I could have done with a portion that was half the size with a nice light tempura batter and a not-so-cloying sauce. Our server did call the sommelier to the table to give us advice on an unfamiliar wine that interested us. Although it was not on the high end, we were treated attentively & respectfully.
I would give full points to the atmosphere at Spencer’s, but the food quality has significantly declined since our last visit. It’s as if they’re content with the good reputation that they established in the past & are content to rest on their laurels, instead of ensuring that excellent food will keep the customers satisfied.
(We do not live in the area, so this was an annual pilgrimage. Sadly, it is no longer of sufficient value & quality to warrant another visit next time we are in Palm Springs.)
Was lovely to finally get reservations. Sat inside which was fine. Food was delicious
Service was great good food for good prices
I like Spencer’s a lot for Brunch but was very disappointed in my dining experience. The waiter was okay but rather condescending. The food was mostly a real letdown. My husband hated the flavor of his meatloaf and the sauce/gravy was barely visible. I was excited to order Dover Sole as I grew up in England and have not had it in a long time. In my opinion I still haven’t! This $40 entree consisted of the two tiniest pieces of fish I have ever been served, probably 2oz total...it was a Sand Dab not a real Dover Sole. The potato side dish was not fully cooked. My Tuna tartare roll was good and so were my husbands Coconut shrimp (although the pineapple slice was as hard as a rock). I think Spencer’s should stick to serving Brunch.
Great. We come every year to celebrate birthdays. We also come other times too but a fun place
My wife and I had lunch on Valentine's Day and without doubt, it was the most enjoyable Valentine meal we have had. We have been married for 30 years and have been crammed into small spaces on Valentine's with other diners one foot away to the top of Seattle's private dining room on floor 76 with most experiences less than ideal. From the pleasant valet to the front receptionist, to our very informed wait person to a especially delicious meal, we were so very pleased.
Thank you management for the truly special resturant in Spencer's. We will be back this weekend.
Valentine’s! What a special occasion it is anytime one has the opportunity to experience Spencer’s! Food, service, piano, wait staff, and parking attendants spell ‘perfection’ in every way!
Spencers was a disappointment, after all the glowing things we had read and heard about it. We thought it was nothing special, which is why I haven't checked any of the boxes above. For these prices, there should be some pleasant surprises, but it was a standard menu for an upper class restaurant--very good food and service, but nothing else to differentiate this restaurant from any others at their prices. We greatly preferred Bernies Supper Club in Ranch Mirage, the same price points, but with a more innovative chef and a menu and staff with better senses of humor.
We had great service from waiter and the food was delicious
Business lunch was great! And the price is right. Place was busy as always. A place not to be missed for anyone visiting Palm Springs.
Lovely outside dining, very romantic.
Enjoyed ourselves. Server was helpful and knowledgeable.
Beautiful atmosphere especially when seated under the ficus tree on the patio. Great menu variety and the fixed price menu is a tremendous value. We enjoyed the white fish and the short ribs which were perfectly prepared and had great flavor. Solid wine list with moderate prices.
Always great food, service,
We were disappointed that we weren't seated at a table requested when the early reservation was made. The patio atmosphere at this restaurant is always pleasant. The service during the last 2 visits (for lunch and Sunday brunch) has been lax, not up to the usual standard. The food is good as is the presentation.
Food was excellent. Ambiance lovely. Waitress couldnt get it together enough to bring us our food at the same time. Otherwise we would recommend restaurant highly
Great ambiance , excellent food , excellent service , nice evening except for large dog at next table which barked every few minutes and owner was not spoken to about the problem by management
My husband and I hosted an after ceremony breakfast at Spencer’s and we all agreed that it was the best breakfast ever. The food and service was phenomenal! It was the best lobster eggs Benedict ever.
Loved our server Simon. And our sommelier was brilliant
