Spencer's for Steaks and Chops Ratings and Reviews
Our dinning experience here was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was extremely intimate like non other and the service was emmaculant. Michelle greeted us with this beautiful vibrant smile and attended to our every need the entire evening. The online reservation was quick and easy and our table was ready when we arrived. The food was exquisite! Very well pleased with our dinning experience!
My meal was one of the best that I have ever had. I had the 8oz filet topped with king crab and béarnaise, with the 4 cheese mac & cheese and creamed spinach sides. Everything was prepared to perfection and the taste was incredible. I was totally satisfied with my experience.
We arrived on time for a 6pm reservation. We were promptly seated and met our waiter Mitch after a couple of minutes. Mitch was well informed on the menu and offered very good suggestions. We had the baked chicken and the rib eye steak along with spinach and mashed potato sides in about 20 minutes after being seated. Everything was delicious
and perfectly cooked. We were braced for average
but received excellence in all areas.
We celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary here while visiting Orlando and the server Che was AMAZING. They spread rose petals on the table, as well as, a handwritten greeting card. We were not expecting that but it was a very kind of them to go above and beyond. The food was incredible a well. We will be going back.
Sadly, despite it's prior ratings, we thought it was only slightly above average- we both ordered the filet which was fine. I had the Mac/cheese side- not hot only warm. My wife's baked potato was huge, but had a copying that tasted like thousand Island dressing. We enjoyed the wines ordered, but they were somewhat pricey
This was an all around dining disappointment. It was a group of four. When we were seated we only got three menus. The hostess said she would bring another but we never got one. The waiter came by periodically. At one point said that bread was in the oven and would be out shortly. We got this announcement several times. After about 20 minutes and seeing several other wait staff bringing out bread I asked if the bread was ready. We got ours about 5 minutes later. The scallop appetizer should be avoided. The fish was overcooked, they reversed the cooking of the two steaks, and most of the food was room temperature. Butter wouldn't melt on the baked potato. I sent it back twice. The white wine was served ice cold and was flavorless until it warmed up, which wasn't until the meal was almost over.
First time trying as magic dining dinner with friends for my birthday. Great menu, especially bacon with chocolate sauce as an appetizer being as very creative and full of juicy flavor. Nice view of full moon and poolside. Lighting can be bit brighter for dinner, otherwise it was a great experience.
The food was good but they took forever to serve not even giving us bread at least The drinks super expensive. We had reservations at 8 they sat us at 8:45 she said she didn't see us and we where sitting right in front of hostess. The waiter was super nice with us that's about it. Disappointed for being the first time there. The place very chic modern and the bar very cool
As locals, we typically avoid hotel restaurants. This is not your typical. The food is definitely steakhouse quality. Its one of the few in Orlando metro area that offer Elk chop on the menu and will be coming up with Bison prime rib in the very near future.
Good wine glasses! Complimentary value parking drops places you at the restaurant's front door.
Very nice meal. This time we had filet. They were of very good quality and prepared expertly.
We always go to Spencer's when staying at the Hilton, Orlando. The steaks are always flavorful and yet not always super tender, but good non the less. Their Mac n cheese is yummy! The Ceasar salad with just Meyer Lemon juice and shaved Parmesan is refreshing to begin. The wine is over priced, like every restaurant, but they have a decent selection. Overall this is a consistently good restaurant.
Great service and food, showed up right on time and we waited maybe 10mins for our table but it was no big deal to us since there was a convention at Hotel/restaurant and expected to be crowded, so no major issue, but the hostess made our waiter aware of our minimal wait and gave us appetizers on the house, our waiter was excellent.
Great food and wine list. We made reservations and were seated immediately. Our table was right under an air vent making some of our associates uncomfortably cold. The staff immediately moved us to a different part of the room that was much better and more comfortable. Our food was perfectly cooked and the appetizers were outstanding (try the crab cake)! Will definitely be having more business dinners there when I'm back in town.
My ribeye was ruined by some herb that really left a bad taste of cilantro (or something of this nature) and was killing the taste of my steak. I gave no idea why they do this on such a high quality meat. A steak is self sufficient, there was no mention on the menu. For a $51 steak it is a bit frustrating to say the least.
We decided to go here for our anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint. The drinks tasted amazing, the food was even better, everything was made to perfection, and the server went above and beyond surprising us with cake and smores once found out it was our anniversary. If we find ourselves in Orlando again we will definitely return.
I am not a tuna person but tried the Ahi Tuna Tartare and was quite impressed. Absolutely fantastic. Would highly recommend. The filet was cooked to perfection and so tender and don't forget the mac and cheese as a side. Save room for the Mud Pie which was large enough to share and was very good.
My wife and I dined here twice during our honeymoon and while somewhat expensive, it was absolutely worth every penny. The steak was utterly superb; I can't compare it to other establishments in the US but compared to all the steaks I've had in the UK and Europe, it was just outstanding. Sides and the Creme Brûlée desert were equally great.
We had a very nice complimentary wine, and the service from the waiters was very friendly and efficient. Although I would say they could be ever so slightly faster bringing beverages.
Nonetheless, we thoroughly enjoyed both times we dined at Spencer's for Steaks and Chops and would highly recommend it to others!
