The steaks and snapper were delicious, as always, as was the chocolate mousse. Chayenne was a delightful waitress! Spencer’s never disappoints and we have been there at least a dozen times in the last 10 years.
Spencer's is our favorite steakhouse in Omaha. It was awesome as always.
Great food in a very classy atmosphere. The calamari appetizer was served with two great sauces for dipping. I had the filet mignon - perfect medium rare. I really liked that it was quiet enough to have a normal conversation at the table without ever raising my voice or struggling to hear my friend or the server. Definitely recommend.
Food was great. Separate seating are for business group of 8 worked out perfectly. Thanks.
I like the food and the service is always excellent.
The food was fantastic and the service was extremely professional.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! The waitress and other support staff are very professional. This is a very “mindful eating experience” (the opposite of fast food) so be prepared to take time and enjoy all 5 of your senses!
The service was absolutely outstanding. The server went above and beyond. The ambiance was what I expected from a restaurant of this caliber. I’m sorry to say that my opinion of the food was quite low. I ordered scallops which were large, but tough. It came on a good tasting pasta and tomato dish. However scallops that are tender don’t need all of that in my opinion. We also ordered risotto as a side. It too was a letdown. I will not be returning.
This was a great experience and I will definitely go back again
Awesome! comparable to New York City style and service
Wonderful, friendly service with really super steaks. Bone - in ribeye and bone-in filet were our choices.
All was right and our waitress, Cat, was on top of her game. Fine experience.
Very enjoyable pre-concert dinner. Our server Jim was thoughtful, attentive and friendly. My steak was cooked perfectly, and my wife's lobster tail was done just right, not over cooked and rubbery as we have had at other top noche steak houses. The blue cheese side of spinach was super! I was afraid my wife would be overwhelmed with the blue cheese, but it was suttle and done just right. Overall, we had a great experience and will most definitely come back again!
We dined here for the 1st time our wedding anniversary. We had reservations at 5pm and were seated promptly.
Martini and margarita were very good.
Ordered Lobster and lamp chops . Excellent and cooked to perfection. The house salad lacked freshness and taste. We ordered the sweet potato risotto and were very excited as this is not something we gave on a regular basis. Unfortunately is was very bland. I expressed this to waitress and they removed half of the charge of it. I did not expect that.
Overall, it was pretty good, but probably won’t return as there are many other steakhouses to try.
Very good steakhouse in downtown Omaha. We tried everything from soup to nuts (literally). Raw oysters were fresh and succulent. Shrimp cocktail was excellent with huge and perfectly prepared shrimp. Bone in ribyeye was buttery tender. Sides were all great. Hash browns, risotto, creamed spinach and French fries. Would definitely return if in the area.
All was perfect!
Loved the restaurant and the food was outstanding!
Old fashioned steakhouse feel in decor. Filet delicious as was house chopped salad. Side of roasted carrots so-so. Stick with the beef and salad! Very pricey.
Steaks were very good but I did not believe they were worth the hefty price tag.
Excellent steaks and great atmosphere. I would recommend to anyone visiting Omaha.
Jim went above and beyond to provide a great experience for our table.
Always great food and service at Spencer's. We went before our show. Hamilton.
Service was great! Cat was very attentive and helpful. Food was incredible. Bartenders were awesome!
Steaks were phenomenal, macaroni and cheese and hash browns were also great! Only thing missing was the apple crisp which was sold out from the night before.
Open table was easy to use and a confirmation was immediately sent. The restaurant was able to seat us early, the server was friendly and went above and beyond, the food was amazing. The best steaks ever, and delicious craft beer and excellent wine. Complementary celebration dessert topped off the evening in the warm, cherry wood fiinished room.
Good was excellent. Server Joanna was top tier. Overall excellent experience
Wonderful dining experience, attentive service, fabulous food!
Food was somewhat lackluster. My steak was ok, but had to send back lobster mac and cheese way, way to salty. My wife's entree, the short ribs were dry and far from succulent. Our server Deon(sp) was great!
One of my out of town guests wanted to get an 'Omaha steak'. He ordered a filet medium-rare. It came out well done. They remade a new steak for him. It didn't arrive until after the rest of us finished dinner. It too was cooked wrong. Literally blood rare.
The restaurant took the steak off the bill and also gave a round of drinks. However, this did not assuage the embarrassment and frustration I experienced as a host looking to show my guests a good time. In addition, a chicken breast was small and dry and brussel sprout side dish was underdone and not prepped for cooking (still had stems on).
Finally, the restaurant has a chlorine-like smell and the air conditioning did not work properly.
On a positive note, the apple pie dessert was very good.
I will not return to Spencer's anytime soon and do not recommend it.
Food was sub-par. Surely there are better places in Omaha. Don’t get the calamari fries - they’re like fish sticks.
First time at Spencer's. The service, staff and overall ambiance were excellent, as was the quality of our meal. The only thing that detracted from the evening was the extremely small table table for two we were seated at. Literally, I typically find larger tables for two at fast food restaurants. The table top was extremely crowded, making it challenging for the staff to serve everything, as well as uncomfortable and somewhat awkward for us to eat at. Given they had a number of larger, open tables available the entire evening, it was at best, unnecessary and disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber. Any recommendations would be subject to the caveat that if out for a dinner for two, verify that you'll be seated at one of the larger tables or booths.
Good service and decent portions at usual prices. Nothing over the top and nothing below par.
Very classy place. They provide a great dining experience. Best steak I’ve ever had. We go here regularly for events like birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
Absolutely wonderful steak! Loaded baked potato Devine! We’ll be back.
We stayed one night in Omaha on our way home and I am so glad we ate here. Everything was perfect. I ordered a filet and my husband ordered the bone-in filet. Each of us felt they made it to the top 5 list of best steaks ever. The wine list was extensive as well. Our waiter, Fis, was fantastic. Highly recommend.
Provided information with reservation that it was our anniversary. We were seated at a very small table where it was difficult to navigate and really impacted ambience. Our server did not ask us if it was a special occasion, so did not make our experience special. Filet was great and tender as well as Mac and cheese. Service was very slow. We were there for 2 1/2 hours. We have been to other fine dining steakhouses in Omaha and would choose them over Spencer’s.
Outstanding as always. This is my favorite go to steakhouse in Omaha. The steaks are always cooked as I like them and the side dishes are exceptional.
I truly appreciate your participation in the Passport program I hope it drives business to your location. I know from previous experience restaurants located in a hotel are normally not utilized by the locals. The Passport program drives the local business to you I realize it costs you money but it may be the most effective way to spend your advertising dollars.
I have never had a better ribeye steak! There are plenty of appetizers and salads to choose from and we tried many. Make sure you order the crab cakes!
Okay I've heard about Omaha Steaks. Tonight we went to check out the rumors. As far as I'm concerned they were 100% accurate this is one of the best steaks I've had in some time
